Hotel Placid Allahabad

I was staying for official purpose for 5 days as i had some local visits todo. I had to book the Hotel Placid Allahabad on first night as my travel desk person was on leave. I checked in late night and staff was on duty desk. Reception areas was heated by central heating system and felt nice as outside was cold 10 degrees. Room was given quickly and when i entered it was big and clean room as good as a star Hotel Placid Allahabad. Bedsheets and covers were very clean, towel could be better. It looked old and gray and way too heavy. Bathroom was spotless clean. Everything looked like new or renovated. Corners did not have dust or dirt. No rats or cockroach. Room smelled clean and fresh. Window is large and glass. Faces north so gets some clean sunlight in room. Room service is quick. Food selection can be lot better but looks like not many guests come to restaurant to eat so it's mostly empty. They always made me fresh simple food whenever i asked. And, g ajar halwa you can try.

Location is excellent the Hotel Placid Allahabad was near and the room was spacious wifi was slow ac was not cooling, considering that we visited during the chill winter season. The room was hot and the staff were not able to help. Hot water in toilet taps was disappointing. Had to wait for 10 minutes leaving the water to run down still it was just luke warm. Room service was good. Brakefast had a good spread of both south and north indian dishes. Overall it was a good stay.

Hotel location is very good in terms of all pilgrimage and sightseeing places, it is peaceful residential colony, staff is very supportive and courteous we stayed here for three days and all three days enjoyed the dinner, staff is extremely helpful, hospitable and makes suggestions if asked appropriately the Hotel Placid Allahabad menu is well priced for the quantity and taste, good, clean and decent stay helps make travel memories pleasant and happy

Hotel is located strategically near to every place of interest or pilgrimage. Has all amenities. Cabs and public transport is readily available. Airport is 40 mins drive. The food is good and they have multi cuisine kitchen. The staff is polite and efficient.

the location is very nice and dormitory room very spacious and good with this price. But it would be good to have common shower place for guests in dormitory. the room offered in this rush time of kumbh mela was great.

Ambience, hygienic, courteous staff, food everything was excellent

In the dormitory, they provide not the bed but the mattress on the floor in a big hall. Washrooms are clean, food is available on second floor in the restaurant (food is pretty good, also you can leave your luggage in their office, staff is cooperating.

Amazing hospitality. The Hotel Placid Allahabad is located quite centrally with various options to go around prayagraj. The food was very delicious as well.

English speaking Staff..only 1 person available. Remaining all staff are hindi speaking only. Non hindi speaking tourist found difficult to communicate with Hotel Placid Allahabad staff. Food is amazing and cleanliness is good even in Maha Kumbh time also.

Very good need to improve in morning breakfast buffet

Shower facility not available for dormitory. No bathroom

Stay was pleasant, staff was good and helpful, but senior manager at reception was rude.
