Hotel Ricasa

The Hotel Ricasa is nice and clean. Their way of welcoming guests was warm and highly appreciable. The Hotel Ricasa did not provide room heater in the room. If required room heater, it needs separate payment. A Hotel Ricasa with 3 star property should have this service without any extra cost. The hot water was almost not available after 9:30 am even though water heater was working. Hotel should be arranged near market place so that after sight seeing at 4 pm, a leisure walk nearby Hotel Ricasa will be possible. If this is not possible, the vehicle should be made available at least till 8:00 pm which will make it possible to visit market for some purchases. The food was tasty. The staff and cook were highly cooperative. The Hotel Ricasa stay and travel for local sight seeing was excellent. The vehicle provided to us from Bagdogra airport to Hotel Ricassa was very dirty. Driver drove vehicle in speed to reach the Hotel Ricasa within 3 hours. My wife suffered motion sickness severely. Later, driver started scolding us for motion sickness and the delay in reaching Hotel Ricasa. This behaviour of driver is highly objectionable. The drivers for subsequent travel were highly considerate and drove vehicle in moderate speed to reach destination in stipulated time. Mr. Karsang (driver for excursion to Baba mandir) even provided tablet Avomin to my wife to prevent motion sickness. Mr. Karsang be given special thanks from us and be honoured for taking extra care of passengers.

Stayed 2N. Got a very nice view from the room. Very satisfied with the service of the staff members. They were very well behaved. Food was of excellent quality. All dishes - chicken curry, mushroom curry, mutter paneer, fish curry, etc. Were delicious. There was ample space for parking in front of the Hotel Ricasa. Hotel is easy to locate, all people know the Hotel Ricasa. We booked a Deluxe room. The room was of very small size. There was a pillar in the mid of the room. It is not easy to move inside the room. The entrance to bathroom was 5'7" only. So, a 5'8" or 6 feet person stepping up and entering the bathroom should be careful.

I choose this Hotel Ricasa as I wanted to stay far away from the Gangtok's crowd and my decision was correct. The locality was so quiet and gentle that we really loved it. Room was spacious and we found it well cleaned. Staff are very decent in behavior and cooperative. We had foods with our booking plan. They served delicious foods always. Wi-fi inside room was little weak but that less matters when you are in holiday mood. Initially we booked the room for two days but later we extended one more day. Overall very good experience and highly recommended to new travelers.

The location of the Hotel Ricasa is 3.5 km from town center. It is very difficult to get taxi after 7.30 pm to Hotel Ricasa and if we get taxi they charge 200 to 300 rs instead of normal fare of 50 per person. If person wants to stay in this Hotel Ricasa then he have no other dinner option except this Hotel Ricasa. The rooms were smelly and we had to asked them to spray room freshener. Staff and manager are very cooperative and made all possible efforts to make our stay comfortable. If this Hotel Ricasa had been in town then it would have been great option.

The location was very big disadvantage. If you stay here you need to spend anywhere between Rs. 300 to Rs. 400 one way towards market. Other than the location the Hotel Ricasa is very good. I got a room with excellent view of the mountains. The staff is very good. The food is also excellent. The staff arranged a candle light dinner for me which was exceptional. I would say if you do not care about going to the local market after roaming entire day then go ahead and book at this Hotel Ricasa it is very nice place.

First the positives :the Hotel Ricasa room was very spacious ... And with all the amenities. Hotel staff was nice, soft spoken and courteous and good services was provided ... We asked for specific services for our 3 year old baby .. Which were provided by them .. Timely services Food was fine seeing the prices. Negative: the only thing which I felt was a bit disturbing that the surrounding noise was much .. And could be heard prominently in the night .. Of stray dogs or birds .. Rest Fantastic stay ...

Hotel location is outside Gangtok city in the lap of mother nature. This location was excellent because we felt peace in this place. We got a warm welcome at the reception. Room service was very good. Just a phone call and they are available for your service in a minute. We never felt any disturbance. WiFi network was available in the rooms and speed was good. Only problem we faced was with food. But breakfast was good. Dinner was average but that was not bad.

This Hotel Ricasa is placed 3-4 km from MG Marg if somebody is looking to stay in Gangtok but still want to stay away from Gangtok's traffic and normal city life, this can be your best bet. I stayed with my friends in this Hotel Ricasa during 24-26 April 2016. We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel staff and services were really prompt. Rooms were pretty clean and spacious. We had brilliant complimentary breakfast. No complains whatsoever.

Good place to stay in a peaceful and lovely environment, but a little far from Gangtok city. Better to have your own vehicle. All staff and service is good. I will suggest to go once atleast. Thanks to makemytrip for giving me such Hotel Ricasa options.

Good Hotel Ricasa at budget price. Bit far of from MG Road. Food is excellent. Room service is prompt. Good value for money. I has stayed with family on holiday. I will recommend it to others also. Hotel is surrounded with lot of greenery.

Good it is 6 km far from MG Marg so you have to pay 500 rupees for 3 to 4 hour for MG Marg for four passenger. Food is good fresh and hygienic. Cleanness is good and also WiFi facility free, hot water facility for 24 hours and staff is very good it is recommended for all.

Very nice stay. It is indeed pleasant stay over the Hotel Ricasa but the only demerit is location is at outskirt. Apart from this every other facilities including food, service etc are marvelous. Overall a real value for money.

Nice Hotel Ricasa but it is far from city. About Hotel Ricasa it is near to waterfall and services was good. Behaviour of servant is also good. I think in reasonable cost it is excellent Hotel Ricasa. Also bus services available from Hotel Ricasa if you need than told to manager. Cleaniness is so good

Very good Hotel Ricasa. Hotel staff is polite & helpful. The location is also very good. The food provided is excellent and they cater to the needs of different types of visitors. The front office is helpful and the wi-fi connection is another positive of this Hotel Ricasa.

Good Hotel Ricasa for staff behaviour, cleanliness, fresh and hygienic food, free WiFi facility, only location is 6 km far from city so you have to pay taxi for MG Marg about 500 rupees for 4 people. Morning breakfast also very good it is good for all family and friends.

Location is good for people who just wanna relax away from the noisy streets... Rooms are well maintained, staff also very good, the food is average a bit rich. And ya the receptionist is damn good. Overall I'll rate it 5 out of 5.

They can improve on their non veg food quality.
