Hotel Saravana Grand

We arrived at saravana grand a few hours late. The reception was good and the hosts were accommodative (just ensure that you notify them in advance if you are late. The room was pretty spacious (we booked the suite for 4 people. General facilities including fans, lights, water heater, etc, worked perfectly and the toilet was well maintained. Certain amenities such as soaps and towels were missing. But they did have a kettle in the closet to heat water. The parking space was sufficient, you have to hand over your car keys to the receptionist if you have parked your vehicle in front of another guest's car. There are a couple of spots located nearby such as the kolangal river. Majority of them are far away though and you have to drive or take a local transport to reach them. The hosts provide you with a list of attractions to visit (the list includes the distance to those areas from the Hotel Saravana Grand. They are pretty friendly and will provide you with details about the tourist spots. The Hotel Saravana Grand has a restaurant annexed to it that servers decent food. The menu is pretty limited and mostly vegetarian (don't be deceived by the pictures on the wall. However, the taste was good and the food is sufficient to satisfy your immediate needs. But if you are looking for an elaborate menu, there are some other restaurants nearby that may appeal to your taste. Overall, a good experience that definitely deserves 4 to 5 stars. If you are looking for a neat stay in the busy city of valparai with good facilities and are ok to travel some distance to explore the natural sceneries, i would recommend the place. However, if you are looking for a scenic view from your stay close to nature, then i suggest you look for a homestay or accommodation outside the city.

Stayed for two days during the weekend, covered car parking available. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Spacious room, clean bathroom with all basic facilities. There was a problem with the ac, they tried their level best to get it repaired but could'nt. Offered change of room and we changed the next day to an equally good room. The support staff were pleasant and available all the time for assistance. Best part of the Hotel Saravana Grand is its location and very reasonable tariff. Weekends are crowded with lots of youngsters around. If you want a quiet atmosphere, better to choose the weekdays. The in house restaurant is reasonably good and prices are cheap. For varities, lots of restaurants and bakeries are available nearby.

100% comfortable stay for paid amount. Neat and clean rooms. Each suite has 2 queen size beds. Keep rolling. Rest room was neat and clean. Standard complementary. Very courteous staff. Easy to locate. Location near bus stand and market, but no noise after 9: 30 Pm. Restaurant is leased by a famous mess group. Good tamiy nadu food. People from Kerala also will like it. Staff know tamil malayalam and English. Recommended for couple, family and groups too. Covered parking for 8 cars lengthy cars, 100 meters from Hotel. They also give a tourist map for all nearby tourist spots.

Saravana Grand offers good comfortable stay. Pros: Spacious room with good AC & functioning TV. Hygienic bathroom although there was a minor issue with the tap. Centrally located Hotel Saravana Grand with parking facility for around 4 cars. Since we went in off-season, parking was not a problem. Cons: The restaurant was not functioning during our stay. We had to dine 200 mtrs away in Lakshmi Mess, which was average in hygiene, presentation and taste of food. Saravana Grand does not have balcony despite what is written on MMT webpage. Overall, a good comfortable stay.

The rooms were neat and clean. The staff behavior was so welcoming. The standard double room which we booked was big enough for my wife and baby. They provide towels and blankets but not soap/tooth brush or tooth paste. Hotel is located near to main road and Google map will lead you to the exact location. Hotel does not offer restaurant but there are many restaurants nearby. Overall good stay and I recommend this Hotel Saravana Grand. The parking area is a bit congested, but it serve the purpose.

This Hotel Saravana Grand is family friendly and the hospitality is great. I have booked 3 rooms, I have been given rooms in 3rd floor which has a pleasant view of the Hills. This Hotel Saravana Grand also has a restaurant on the 2nd floor which has all the South Indian dishes and Chinese dishes and tastes good. The Hotel Saravana Grand manager Karthik assisted and arranged everything with great effort. Overall family friendly Hotel. I recommend others to stay.

4. Very congested roads to reach the Hotel Saravana Grand. Cleanliness is only average and food is costly but the taste is not upto the mark. Complementary breakfast is served by Hotel Saravana Grand but it was disappointed like anything. Parking of vehicle is too difficult and Hotel Saravana Grand is shortage of parking area

Good Hotel Saravana Grand, clean, not much away from main road. Helpful staff. Same improvements needed - towels provided were old and cleaned. Could be better, no soap was provided. But the good points weigh over the -ve. If a repeated trip to valparai. This Hotel Saravana Grand is where i will prefer. That's all thank you

Nice and comfortable rooms. Limited parking space available. Restaurant also available in 2nd floor (but pols check restaurant timings during checkin since it's open for particular timings only)
