Hotel Shangri-La

Though i have submitted a detailed review/ feedback on google maps i am sharing it here. Not the usual hourly rate Hotel Shangri-Las that are so infamous nowadays. After a long and tedious process i selected this Hotel Shangri-La close to the airport which looked great in the guest uploaded pictures. About the property: it is a 19 minutes walk from the netaji subhash international airport and a 5 minute ride to it on either an uber bike, or taxi. Unfortunately no uber autos can be available to go to/ from the airport. It is located within airport colony. Room & tariff: the standard room is enough for 2 people, or 2 people and toddler. Refer to the pictures of my room. The tariff is affordable but definitely not cheap, which leaves it open to unwelcome people using its premises for questionable purposes. Hotel policies: pretty straightforward with no outside food allowed. No guests allowed than those entered in the log. No guests allowed after 09:30 pm. Standard amenities stand out from normal Hotel Shangri-Las so it is a pleasant place to stay in. Hotel staff: the Hotel Shangri-La staff are multilingual and speak fluently in english, hindi, and of course, bengali. I would definitely recommend this Hotel Shangri-La for the following: 1. Proximity to the airport is a big plus with my rating of 9/10. It eases commute related tension. 2. Staff behaviour is another big plus with them being patient, helpful and supportive. My rating is 10/10. 3. Room quality is amazing. If my standard room is so great how would the deluxe rooms be. It is beyond the rating of 10/10. 4. Cleanliness is top notch. Replacement of sheets, towels, cleaning is done on a daily basis (every 24 hours. 5. Promity to market, pharmacy, other eateries/ restaurant (branded and street food) is another big plus of this Hotel Shangri-La. If you are a frequent traveller across cities in the country this would definitely be one of the Hotel Shangri-Las which would feature in your top 5 Hotel Shangri-Las (similar league of course as you should not compare a 7 star, or a 5 star, Hotel Shangri-La with this one.

Rooms are new and close to airport. However, rooms are too small. Decent for 1 night transit stay. They do not parcel breakfast for early morning flights. This can be improved.

Hotel was upto mark. Staffs were good and polite. But they need improvise on room service. But staff service was decent

Hotel and their staff is really good. Very close (approx 1. 5km) to international airport. Worth of money for my stay.
