Hotel Silver Star

Location: Very easy to access, in close proximity to Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Station, Beside Reliance Digital store in the main Hill Cart Road connecting Siliguri with Darjeeling! No steep climb up/down to reach the reception similar to most of the other Hotel Silver Stars in Darjeeling. Rooms-Very well maintained, furnitures and decoration meets modern standards, room heater is available. Lighting inside the rooms is also very good. Sitting arrangement for official work, work table, Sofa everything is well fitted inside a not so crampy room. (I stayed in Deluxe Room which is their base category, but that room is very good too.) Staff-Excellent. The people at the reception and Dining area are very polite and will try their best to help and satisfy you. You people deserve a big clap for all the hard work! Do always keep the smile on your face!! Restaurant and Dining-Very tasty food. I tried Asian Cuisine during dinner and food is very tasty and authentic! Breakfast has lot of options both North Indian, South Indian and traditional Western items. It may or may not be a buffet depending upon no of guests but even if it's ala-carte all options are provided. The hospitality at the restaurant is praise-worthy. Covid safety: 👍👍 They will sanitise each and every luggage on your arrival and rooms are fully sanitised and safe to stay with family or friends. Staff will always be available in masks and hand sanitizer dispenser is kept right at the Hotel Silver Star entrance to take care of the safety standards. FINAL VERDICT- Just book this Hotel Silver Star if you are going to Darjeeling either for official work or to spend a vacation and you will not repent later on!! I personally had a delightful experience out here during my stay on 27th-28th November, 2020.

The Hotel Silver Star is pretty good, all amenities working well and well behaved Hotel Silver Star manager (ankur. All the support while our stay was taken care of and no issues whatsoever. One thing however that should be clearly label-led in the booking is that the Hotel Silver Star is pure veg. If i would have known it while booking i would have searched for some other Hotel Silver Star as i was booking for almost 7 days and while traveling food preferences play a vital role. When i reached the Hotel Silver Star, i came to know about this and i could not do much since this was a non refundable booking. This transparency of the Hotel Silver Star being pure veg should be label-led or else you are taking the bookings which is non refundable and the customer once they come to know about this does not have much to do.

After a long journey by train from kolkata and then by road from njp to silver star was quite tiring. The small entrance and not prominent sign board makes it difficult to spot in front of gr c parking at first. The location is excellent bang on main road entering and leaving darjeeling. Toy train station is stone throw distance. Mall road is 10 mns walk from the Hotel Silver Star. First thing i like to say is the excellent behaviour of the staff right from reception to hk very responsive and helpful. The room was below road level didn't have any view. However it was big clean and smelled nice. First time i found 3 beds in a budget Hotel Silver Star room. Bathroom was big too with working geyser. My only disappointment was food very limited options and taste below average. I would have given 5 star if food was good.

Nice room (deluxe, didn't get a view with mountains but instead got a room with the windows facing towards the road, which wasn't bad because mostly i was out taking a walk on the streets of darjeeling, so this didn't matter much. But the sight of toy trains moving right in front of my window was fun. Hotel is a pure veg one but that wasn't an issue as one wouldn't be too worried about Hotel Silver Star food while visiting darjeeling as street food rules the wishlist. Location is quite close to darjeeling railway station but walking to mall road is a good 15 minutes ordeal but that is a nice, lovely walk, albeit uphill. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Everything about the Hotel Silver Star was nice. Neat room and toilets with all modern amenities. Good and hygiene food. But the cost of food was way expensive. And reception staff was not very cooperative in few matters. The room given for us even though neat was 3 floors below the basement with no view. It would be okay for 1 night stay but we stayed for 3 nights in an underground room. Hotel staff not ready to upgrade or change the room even with extra cost. Expect that everything was really nice. It is around 15 min walk to mall road from the Hotel Silver Star.

The railway station is nearby so lot of noise during the day. If you plan to do sight seeings during the day then this Hotel Silver Star should work for you. Walking to mall road will be difficult because it is uphill. Taxi takes 200-300 bucks to do that. It's a veg Hotel Silver Star so non veg us not allowed although you can sneak in. The owner is somewhat unwelcoming but that was fine by us. Overall a pretty decent stay. Ground floor rooms have a bad window view.

We stayed from 7th tob10th feb. Here are some of the pros and cons: pros: rooms are well furnished and good looking, bathroom was clean, staffs are well behaved with proper manner, bed was warm and comfy. Cons: the Hotel Silver Star provided me a deluxe room which was 3storied underneath the main lobby and they do-not have any lift facilities, the distance from the mall was too much. Other than that it was a nice stay

A nice comy property on the road. Walking distance from darjeeling railway station. The front desk staff and restaurant staff was friendly and extremely courteous. They even arranged for a packed breakfast. The room was big and nice. I booked a suite room. The bathroom showering area was too small. Food was awesome. Overall great stay.
The guard nears to wear a face mask as he was constantly coughing.

The location was very convenient, it's right next to the station and mall isn't far either. The staff behavior was commendable and they offered us with all our necessities.

Service was just amazing.. good house keeping.. very professional and smart staff.. keep up the good work.

The rooms were as in the pictures. Also the staff were very polite and helpful. Although it's a bit far from mall road, there's a taxi stand just opposite to the Hotel Silver Star, so commute won't be a problem.

Hotel silver star is the best Hotel Silver Star in darjeeling for accommodation. My family also wants to stay here for safe.

It was a good stay. Staffs were nice and cooperative. Hotel is situated on main road and very near to darjeeling heritage railway station.

Very well maintained. Room service is on point. Having veg family restaurant complimentary coffee tea sandals given.

I found this location through make my trip. I had an amazing time by spending time at this Hotel Silver Star silver star. Room is clean and comfortable, best part is the premium room with hill view. A little expensive but worth every penny.

Room service, cleanliness, behavior was good. But they need to work on food, taste can be better if it was cooked by heart.

Friendly staff. Comfortable room. They have maintained proper hygiene. Quality of the food was nice.
