Hotel sonar bangla, puri is located near the puri light house, a long walk away from sargerdwar, the puri market place. It is a beachfront property. As it is away from the marketplace, the beachfront is not crowded. There are two elevators, so almost no time is wasted waiting for the lift. There is no swimming pool. There is a restaurant at the basement and a lounge and bar at the top floor, fourth floor. All the rooms have sea view, either front or side view. At the ground floor next to the reception, there is a mini gym, a toddler indoor play area, a foosball table and carrom board. The reception lounge has an ample and comfortable seating area. The entire building has well maintained central air conditioning. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. The televisions are modern and with internet connection. There is an electric kettle, for tea coffee and a mini refrigerator. The food is average, sometimes under-cooked and highly priced. The restaurant staff could be more polite and learn better etiquette. My almost finished plate was picked up without asking, they thought 4 plates of rice was enough for 7 people, when their plate size is not that big. One plate rice is only enough for one person. Little things like staff attitude, tone of speaking matters. Their outdoor after-sea swim wash area is tiny with no showerhead, only taps. Their environment friendly policy is good, they provide glass bottles with refillable ro water and refillable shampoo and body wash bottles in the bathroom. Would i come back to Hotel Sonar Bangla sonar bangla? maybe for the affordable and luxury rooms, but not for the food and restaurant services.

Not bad, but surely not among the best at Puri. Standard does not match with the high tariff. There is a wedding house next door which is a nuisance to visitors like us who prefer quiet places. Considering the exorbitant tariff of the Hotel Sonar Bangla, facilities are not at all satisfactory. The outside look is most ordinary. The inside arrangement of the room is an indicator of the poor aesthetic sense of the authority. Reception staff are all the time very cold. They should know a bit more hospitality. But the boys who attended the room for various services are excellent. Overall, Sonar Bangla, Puri gave us a mixed feeling. A SUPPLEMENTARY NOTE : It was again a short family trip for 2 days only. We visited the Hotel Sonar Bangla in January 2023 before. That time I had grievances about the hospitality of the Hotel Sonar Bangla's front office staff and also about the restaurant. But this time I noticed visible changes in the Hotel Sonar Bangla. Not only the look and infrastructure have been commendable but also hospitality of the Hotel Sonar Bangla staff has been visibly warm and decent. The restaurant now has an elegant look, quality of food is good, and overall service is excellent. As an old customer I must say that next times also, Hotel Sonar Bangla will be my destination at Puri.

We stayed at this place in 2 premium ac side view rooms. Hotel sonar bangla is located at a less congested area of baliapanda, near to light house. The rooms are well maintained and well decorated with adjacent verandah overlooking a large area of seaside marine drive, with amazing views of blue waves. The food provided at the restaurant is good but cost is a little bit high ; also the options for main course non veg items are limited. The main draw back which the Hotel Sonar Bangla management can improve with is to arrange a "exhaust" fan inside the wash room which were absent in two rooms. Nevertheless, the warm and supportive behavior of the Hotel Sonar Bangla staffs are truly amazing, so is the well maintained reception and lunge area to soak our eyes. The Hotel Sonar Bangla has a roof top cafe with breath taking views of the sea just opposite to the Hotel Sonar Bangla. So, in summary the Hotel Sonar Bangla can be in anyone next ticket for a pkeasent stay at puri.

Hotel sonar bangla is located near lighthouse on marine drive road. Sea beach is few meters away from the Hotel Sonar Bangla. Hotel has multiple rooms facing sea and few rooms having side balcony from where one can see the sea. I had taken one side sea view suite and the room is quite big with one room with king size bed and attached balcony. Room size is approx 10ft x 16 ft. It has another attached room size approx 10x 10 having sofa set. Very convenient to spend family time for chatting here. Hotel staffs are very helping in nature and quite proficient in guest management. I found food is quite delicious and those who loves bengali / odia cuisine will love the food. Overall cleanliness and hygine is appreciable. As an overall experience would rate this stay high.

We have booked 2 room 1 is platinum see view and another is side facing family room. Overall stay was fantastic with the behavior of staff, ambience, food quality taste, room. But 1 thing i have highlighted ac platinum see facing room having ac problem. Some time water discharge from ac. Which is i feel little disturbance. I request to Hotel Sonar Bangla authority pols resolve these issue. Guest are paying for hassle free stay. Apart from this in room everything is very fine. Bed, bathroom, balcony everything is very much appreciated. We have a baby of 2 yrs old. For making baby food they have helped us lot. Total 3 days stay we have not listen any' no ' from anyone form the Hotel Sonar Bangla. Thanks sonar bangla making our stay pleasant.

The location of Hotel Sonar Bangla is just opposite to the sea and each room has sea view.Room and service was excellent. Top of that sundowner cafe which is on top floor is just wow👌 ..what a view and along with tasty food just cherry 🍒 on the cake. One thing which found little uncomfortable is that room 102 which was given just infront of reception. Hence no privacy .secondly all time visitors are coming and noise are coming inside the room which felt uncomfortable and disturbing . while sleeping since visitors started coming from 4:00 am and the sound of their chat in reception straight directly hear from room 102 .

Traveled to puri with my husband after 14 years. Booked our stay in your Hotel Sonar Bangla which was so satisfying. The ambience was gorgeous. Had booked a suite room with side sea facing including breakfast. The room was exactly the same as booked in make my trip. We loved the food and staff behavior. Room service and the cafe at roof top was great and so was the distance between the beach and the Hotel Sonar Bangla. One had to just cross the road and there comes the beach which was not so crowded. In a gist i would say we had a lovely stay. Looking forward to visit again soon.

Very good property. Rooms were clean with functional ac. Housekeeping staff was prompt. Right at the beach, so very convenient. Local autos take you to the temple and market. Best part was the authentic bengali ala cart e menu at the restaurant. Will definitely go back just for the awesome food.

The room is ok. But breakfast is a moderate type. No variation at all. They are serving only cut fruits. Every day memu are more or less the same.

Excellent family friendly Hotel Sonar Bangla with all modern amenities. Staff were cooperative and buffet breakfast was good.

Even sitting in the balcony facing sea beach is a memorable experience. Platinum room was better than deluxe room. Still enjoyed the stay.

Great stay at the Hotel Sonar Bangla and excellent cooperation from the staffs. Restaurant was excellent with tasty food. Rooftop bar is awesome
