Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat

Visited first time at Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat sonar bangla during ashtami with my family. Was surprised to see the property. It's a huge property just on the bank of rupanarayan, sprawling well maintained garden, excellent swimming pool. I had booked an ac deluxe room. Room size is quite big with king size bed and sofa sets. The connected balcony has river view. People can sit at the spacious balcony and enjoy family time. The room lock was making bit problem while locking but manageable. The riverfront restaurant is truly on river front. We used the 1st floor and enjoyed the river view along-with excellent food. Mutton and prawn items were liked the most. There are complimentary gym, indoor playarea, kids zone as well. Spa facility is chargeable. Playarea has billiard, caram, chess, tabletennis and some other games. Gym have the basic amenities, which we have not used and not found other people to use. Can enjoy cycling throuout the property. Also can enjoy seating in the sprawling lawn.

Sonar bangla kolaghat is great stay as a weekend retreat. Our room was at the topmost floor with a spectacular view of the rupnarayan river. All the rooms are river facing, but the lower floors do not have much of a river view due to the treeline. The desk personnel had guided me with this information before i had chosen to book a stay with this property. The staffs were very courteous. The room was good and much upto our expectations. However it's a bit expensive to buy bottled water from the Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat, because they provide only two small bottles of drinking water. We loved the oriental cuisine they served. The food was really tasty. However we weren't satisfied with the north indian cuisine. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous though mostly vegetarian. Would suggest the Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat authorities to see if they could improve with the non-vegetatian part. Overall it was a great stay and a weekend well spent.

Visited Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat sonar bangla, kolaghat, with my family for 1 night stay last weekend, the location was great, almost on the banks of rupnarayan river, and easily accessible. The room was clean and spacious, the food was tasty and delicious with ample seating space in the restaurant, the swimming pool was well maintained, and the service were all good, especially was pretty happy seeing that they had a separate few food items in the menu for the little ones, which was a primary requirement for my 2 & 1/2 year old son. The only backdraw that we faced was the wifi and tv connection, tv signal was poor, and despite getting the wifi password, their wifi network was not even showing up in my mobile, the wifi only works around the reception area is what the manager told me. All in all, a pleasant 1 night stay at Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat sonar bangla, kolaghat.

We went here for weekend stay with our kid and aged parents. Location is good, resort has lots of things to keep you and your kid busy, spacious grounds overlooking rupnarayan river with sitting option is a plus. Only thing i would complain is about the food - all veg food were good, however unlikely fish and chicken, mutton preparation were not at all up to the mark. Breakfast is complimentary which comes great at this room rate, however in spite of the varieties, only one or two items were delicious and tea is terrible too. However that still doesn't take away all the other things they have - large spacious ground, spacious rooms, kids and adults game room, spa, swimming pool (we had to purchase the costume from there in cash. I will recommend this place, specially if you have a kid and old age people, as both the group can play and sit at the same place.

We stayed at sonar bangla resort in kolaghat for one night and had booked two deluxe ac rooms on the 3rd floor of the property. The approach to the property is a single lane slip road but finding the property is not an issue at all. Once inside, there is am-ole parking. The property is beautifully level s caped with a lot of flora, a big garden which overlooks the rupnarayan river. There are lots of amenities like a gym, swimming pool, games room, kids room, cycles, spa, confectionery shop etc. To keep you entertained. The games room had table tennis, chess, billards, dart, carrom, baggadale etc. The rooms were very large with a balcony overlooking the rupnarayan river. The rooms had all creature comforts like mini fridge, electric kettle etc and more importantly very nicely done up.

The stay was pleasant, thanks to the Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat staff. Pros. The food was good. Property has enough space for kids playing and the games room was great. We all enjoyed our time spent there. Pool view was awesome and well maintained. Cons. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids of 6 yr old. As per policy kids above 5yrs are chargeable. We mentioned since there is no extra bed and will be sleeping in the same king size bed they could have charged for one kid. They charged for both, sighting both will be given breakfast. But i wonder how much a 6 yr old is going to eat at for breakfast. Another thing the food prices were on the higher side and the breakfast spread in the morning was not as the same standard as the Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat.

The property is located in a very nice and calm place and in front of River Rupnarayan. The place has its own charm and is a good refresher from the mad City life. the property is good having well laid out rooms. the service is decent not exceptional. the food is again pretty average. it's not traditional Bengali cuisine. it's a mix which is not so good. the bfast options are pretty ordinary. the rooms are big and needs an uplift. the washrooms are decent but in our one the flow of water was very very slow. the property overall is nice and you can stroll around in the evening. nothing much to do apart from plu ging in the swimming pool. it's better to go in groups as you can spend quality time. overall a nice place to visit.

I went with family for a weekend trip. It was a hot summer day but even though we had the top floor premium rooms, the ac was able to cool down the whole room. Staff are very courteous. Due to heavy booking they were busy but even if late they did respond to requests. The rooms could be more clean. Food was average. Breakfast buffet was below average. I would suggest them to add more of bengali breakfast item rather than south indian. At-least make the ‘luchi’ of maida not atta. Lunch was ok. Chinese is average. There is a spa & game room too. The game room is well stocked & can be good time pass. Swimming pool was too crowded so could not enjoy it. Overall a good property for weekend trip with friends & family.

Hotel sonar bangla kolaghat is a nice property. Location is excellent and the river view rooms are quite spacious with a good view. The food quality is average and the options for buffet breakfast could be better. Staff is good and helpful, however at the reception the person handling check-in check-out is very slow. There should be at least one more counter to enhance efficiency and customer experience

It was a nice stay. Just need to improve the food quality. Shaving kit needs to include in the toiletries.

Perfect place if you're searching for a place near kolkata and if you or group face issues with managing time or get less time to go somewhere far. Just 1 5 hrs from kolkata the Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat offers good quality spacious rooms and good food with complementary breakfast property is at the riverside, sunset looks awesome

Pleasant stay by the bank of rupnarayan river. Service was very good. Complimentary breakfast was very nice. My children enjoyed a lot at childrens corner.

Clean rooms with a decent view. Staff behaviour is good. Service is slightly slow but overall had a good experience.

Welcome desk was good. Staffs were well behaved. Parking staffs helped in parking the car properly. Food was good. Rooms are big neat and clean. Lawn and park is well maintained. Swimming pool is well maintained. The property is river facing and appropriate. Overall stay was very good. Will visit again.

Pleasant and happy experience with tasty food. The hospitality of the staff was appreciable one suggestion: the reception area needs to be made into an ac zone so that the service staff at the reception desk could be a little comfortable in this extreme weather conditions

It was a very good stay. Property is very good, spacious, area and amenities for kids play area, indoor games, swimming pool is big but more cleaning required, rooms are big, especially good view from 3rd floor rooms which we booked. Food is good, recommend others for stay. Will visit again

Hotel is good, with nice view, the behaviour of the staffs are also good. Only the food seems overpriced.
