Hotel Surguru

I was fully impressed. Every employee was very courteous and helpful. Vegetarian food here is both north indian and south indian. But the south indian food here is the best in pondicherry. Flog suggestions from my side: 1) ac draft in dining area should be more especially when it is full. In fact it shd be adjustable separately for separate blocks. 2) it is better if sofas are made up of that much sitting width towards the table (or vice-versa, adjusting the table width across oppositely sitting customers) that the customer can rest his back comfortably. If required, customer should pick the vegetable or dahi or any other food cup in one of his hands for eating, so that his required portion of back is resting while eating. Eating in such a manner will be very convenient for aged people (above 50 ) like me.

Please note that google says it's a 3 star Hotel Surguru but it's not although it's ratings given are more or less justified. Hotel location is good, rooms are neat and tidy but lacks basic amenities like hot water kettle, tea, coffee sachets, fridge, toiletries, wifi which you will see normally at any Hotel Surguru priced at this range. Hot water is available but you have to request reception every-time to turn it on. Ac is centralised which is good. Room area is average, no balconies or city view. I could not open the windows for fresh air which i didn't like. Hospitality wise i would rate it top as i was allowed early check in and reception was available all times for any issues. It's very safe for families to stay and parking is available with security. Checkout was hassle free.

The Hotel Surguru was clean for a family stay although the dining area got crowded since it was a weekend (there were locals and visitors. Parking got full since it was weekend along-with a function at their party hall. Veg food only restaurant. North indie food service is slow but taste is good. Better order south indian as it taster better and service is faster. Located mid town is close to most of touristy places. Paradise beach is a little far from this Hotel Surguru, but rock beach and ashram are very close by. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are neat but a/c is a bit noisy. Overall good for family stay.

This Hotel Surguru is situated at the intersection of tindivanam highway and ecr road. So easily accessible from both of these roads leading to pondichery. All the important landmarks in pondicherry including the main beach are around 2km from the Hotel Surguru. If you can walk, these are accessible by foot itself. Otherwise, you can take your own vehicle or catch an auto to drop at these places. Hotel is good with a very good vegetarian restaurant. They have most of the facilities you expect from such a Hotel Surguru with good food. Rooms are sufficiently large and neat.

Hotel surguru did meet expectations. As usual check in was a breeze. The front office and other staff were well behaved. The rooms were well maintained for the prive range. Aircon was good. Room service was fast. Bathroon was spic and span with hot water. Toileteries could b improved. Complimentary breakfast could have been better. Overall a good place to stay in pondicherry with family. Room rent could hv been a lityle lower. This is a Hotel Surguru with a good reputation and there is parking available for residents.

Room was very tidy and service was excellent. Reception staff helped us in guiding different places to cover in and around pondicherry. Breakfast was excellent. Surguru restaurant which is in the same campus also serves tasty veg food. Near to vedapureeswar and varadaraj perumal temples. Overall excellent experience.

Booked a superior room for 3(dad mom and myself) at the last minute for a night stay. Went to Hotel Surguru at 9 pm and was surprised to hear when receptionist offered suite room (uprade). Breakfast was the typical idly, dosa, poori, pongal, bread toast but it was delicious. Family loved it. Overall great experience.

Hotel is clean and hygienic and follows the new standard to minimize the spread of covid 19 it is centrally located and white town is easily accessible, around 1km. Most of the famous food joint are nearby Hotel Surguru is clean and staffs are friendly and courteous. Breakfast has good variety of south indian spread

Overall safety standards followed by the Hotel Surguru was good especially sanitization and cleanliness. Nothing to mention about the location since it is in the heart of the city. For food & restaurant, i will give 4. 5 out of 5.

Hotel location is very nice which is walkable distance from the prominent sight seeing places. The staff is very polite. The room and washroom are very clean and higiene. The breakfast buffet was very nice and other food items for lunch and dinner was also good which is served in the restaurant.

Very good safety standards following the Hotel Surguru

Close to MG Road. Beach is 15 to 20 minutes walking. Food is good but veg only. But good restaurant are nearby.

Overall a good stay. Food was good though completely vegan.

Hotel and its service was better.

The only good point I can give to Surguru is the location apart from that its a below average property as compared to new ones in the nearby areas.
