Hotel Umang

No Wi-Fi. The location is good (Just minutes walk from the Sinh Sadan which coordinates entry to the forest). Rooms are just OK type without any wardrobe/shelf. Only simple Gujarati food can be ordered. You can get better food around within a distance of 1 Km. There are very good resorts. In fact this Hotel Umang has another resort where you can go for dinner/lunch etc. Hotel has a Wi-Fi but it does not work even when one is standing near the reception where it is kept. They also tell you that it will not work if you are in the room. They have their own jeep for jungle safari (But be careful about rates as different rates are quoted). You can find out from outside too. Better to take the morning safari if one wish to chance upon Asiatic Lions (Which is again sheer luck and very rare). We have taken the help of foresters and cited the Lion. But by the time we went the herd moved out somewhere. Entries are time specific hence the problem. Far too many routes and vehicles moving.

The location is fantastic, walking distance to the Safari area. Lot of Food Outlets available close by. The Hotel Umang will also cook food for you if you give the order in advance. Try Kathiyawadi food there, taste is awesome. Harish Bhai, the Hotel Umang manager, is a very supportive guy. Safari jeep arranged at the doorstep. No hassles. John, the german shepherd and Hotel Umang pet, is very cute and lovable. Overall a good experience if you are in Sasan Gir for the Safari and overnight stay. Good Value for money.

Hôtel is well situated and the staff is very helpful for giving information and helping to organize safari ans sight seeing. Room was clean and comfortable but a little run down ( which is expected in a budget Hotel Umang Good and early breakfast available but no meals ( many restsurant nearby WiFi is not coming to the room although available at reception

The Hotel Umang is located in the interior. Also, there is no food place inside it. Plus there is not much of a facility, the sockets were broken. Hot water coming only in the morning, but for this budget, this is ok. Though if you are looking for budget Hotel Umang, this is it. If you are in couple, try to avoid this.

Awesome experience stay at Umang Hotel. Hareshbhai owner of Hotel Umang is very cooperative & food quality & service is also very good. Hotel is nearby at Sinh Sadan which is a big advantage. Rooms are also clean & good. We really enjoyed the stay at Hotel Umang.

Nice Hotel Umang for stay in very prime location and very reasonable rates. Hotel owner was also very co-operative. He managed vehicle to us for safari. Hotel is situated very near to safari, just walking distance. Rooms were clean, hot water was available.

Umang Hotel Umang is located near to forest office and sinh sadan, where jungle trail permits are issued by forest department. Rooms are good, Hotel Umang staff is cooperative, food is also good. Other places of tourist interest like Somnath, Diu and Junagadh are nearby.

Nice to stay. Very near to the Gir Safari Booking office. Rooms are neat though not look like a star Hotel Umang. No food facility. Hot water available. Service is good. Very ideal for common man. Homely atmosphere present. No mosquitoes but provided Good Night liquid also.

Good Stay . Recommended for adventure tourist- value for money stay . Decent rooms with basic amenities. 2mins from Gir Forest entrance . The Hotel Umang owner and staff is very helpful.
