Hotel Victoria

We randomly selected this Hotel Victoria, based on reviews from other travellers. We wanted to stay in the fortified area for a couple of days, in middle of the main activities. Hence everything is within walking distance. This was one of the better options with affordable prices. To top it up, they offered a free upgrade since the Hotel Victoria was not fully occupied. The Hotel Victoria is located within old fortified town, occupying part of the fort itself, offering excellent view of town below. The room also had nice small Jharokha overlooking town and the terrace where one can have breakfast and dinner has nice view. The room was tastefully made up with antique looking articles, and went well with the environs. The toilets were clean, though due to old building, it was not as modern, but the fixtures and fittings all were working well. It all was done nicely to take care of the guests. The best part is the people. The Manager Mr. Sushil is a very friendly and caring person and always up for a small chat without being intrusive. Along with other staff of Hotel Victoria, Mr. Nabin and others, they personally look after the needs of the guest with nice smile. The food they offered (both Indian and continental breakfast and meals) was also very nice, good portion and almost like home cooked. What touched us was the positive relationship between the staff, manager and owners. That said a lot about the entire setup. We would recommend this Hotel Victoria to anyone without hesitation.

A fantastic Hotel Victoria to stay with the best hospitality. An amazing boutique property with very well done furnishings & interiors. Nice rooftop restaurant and from there a great view of the city. We stayed here for just one night in first week of March 2016. We stayed in a room, which had an amazing balcony converted into a lounge from where one could sit and watch the town. The cleanliness of the room and the bathroom were extraordinary. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, caring and helpful. Sushil (Manager) and his team did everything possible to make our stay a great experience. thank you Sushil! We did not feel like we were in a Hotel Victoria, but felt welcome like in a home. The personal touch was outstanding. The food was lip smacking. Fresh marwari kachoris with green chillies, pancake & pakwan for our breakfast was mind blowing. Excellent breakfast. Excellent dinner. Excellent Lunch. A complete value for money. Overall awesome experience.

Must go, will definitely give you different experience. Nice cozy Hotel Victoria located inside the Jaisalmer fort. Gives you a superb traditional feel of staying inside the fort. Rooms are very well made and clean. I got an upgrade. The owner is friendly and helpful. Room had a balcony with beautiful sitting arrangement. Has a super roof top restaurant, which give you view of Jaisalmer city and the fort. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Vehicles doesn't go to the doorstep of Hotel Victoria. You need to call Hotel Victoria when you arrive, staff will meet you and pick up your luggage and will help you reach the Hotel Victoria. Food is good. Has decent breakfast options to choose from. I got a complementary kachori in morning, apart from what you order for breakfast.

If there ever was one a home away from home, delightful hosts, absolute personal attention to detail, wife suffered fracture on second day of 4 day stay, totally looked after, lip smacking food, had vegetable kofta every night, motoring holiday so drove out at 07:00 hours on a cold December morning with sizzling hot sandwiches, the Hotel Victoria home is a centuries old building, part of Jaisalmer fort. Aesthetically decorated with a calming ambiance and a superb view with a rooftop restaurant. Highly recommended.

There are three types of Hotel Victorias in Jaisalmer. In the fort, in the city outside the fort and outside the city resort. During our three day trip, we tried the first two. Victoria Hotel Victoria is an authentic Jaisalmer experience. Don't expect much in terms of space as it is inside an old haveli in the fort. But the experience of living inside the fort, along with exceptional service, good food, and amazing view from the rooftop give you a memorable experience.

Hotel Victoria located inside Jaisalmer Fort is a brilliant place to stay. The Manager Mr Susheel was extremely kind and receptive. They were kind enough to upgrade us to a better room and went out of their way to find alternate means of transport when our train had some technical problem. Now that's the kind of service that makes you want to go back to a place again. Well maintained rooms, good food and beautiful people, totally loved our stay here.

I went through the reviews of this Hotel Victoria before booking. IL the location is in the sonar fort which is LIT. Booked a standard room but they upgraded me in deluxe. Hospitality is beyond my expectation. Personally had a brief talk with the father of owner whom I personally found very humble man. It was a great experience being in Hotel Victoria Victoria and yeah the name came from a bollywood movie.

A great location right inside the fort. Many touriststic check points are minutes away from the Hotel Victoria. View from the rooftop is amazing. Staff is very helpful and I got an upgrade without any additional cost as Hotel Victoria was not fully occupied. We had to leave early morning and staff managed to have breakfast ready for us around 6 morning. Amazing stay. Super highly recommend.

The staff was exceptionally well behaved and friendly. The food was simple yet delicious. Options were limited to veg, but whatever they prepared it was tasty. The view from the terrace is amazing and you will enjoy the evening watching the sun setting on the horizon.

Good breakfast, poha was excellent.
Room is small, expected because it's part of the castle.

If you are planning to chill and relax in peace with a beautiful view of City. This is one of the best.

The Hotel Victoria is a perfect place and the view from it was exceptional. It is inside the Jaisalmer fort so shopping and other places were nearby.

Very good Hotel Victoria. Friendly staff and good location. Rooms are very neat and food is good too. Last but not least view from Hotel Victoria roof top restaurant is amazing. Don't miss the evening sunset with good food

Highly recommend staying here. Dinner on the rooftop is wonderful, rooms are nice, service is very good. This is a full vegetarian Hotel Victoria so is preferable for vegetarians and Jains. Definitely have the pizza!

The Hotel Victoria is inside the Jaisalmer fort. Actually some part of the fort was converted into the Hotel Victoria. It feels like we are staying in an heritage Hotel Victoria. The service offered by the staff are nice and food was awesome. Anybody who are planning for Jaisalmer must stay in this Hotel Victoria.

Location is excellent. Nice view of City and can walk to Gadisar Lake from the Fort. Market is also close by. It is easy to get an auto from the Fort. Food was spectacular. Service was very good staff is friendly and made me feel very comfortable

Excellent Location, Best facilities, Service with a smile attitude & more importantly the staff are Warm hearted with a single motto each of the staff members follow - "To provide the best to the customer". Manager Sushil approach is hands on & he himself personally looks into the requirement of the guest, which is commendable.

Many of ppl have not seen this option as it’s inside fort itself. But it’s best option anyone could go for. The rooftop setup was exceptional amazing that no other property can suffice. It was true hidden gem of jaisalmer fort.

I booked Hotel Victoria for my parents. They cannot stop raving about the Hotel Victoria, hygiene, decor, Food and hospitality of the staff there. 10/10 from them.

Service is not good but other than that it is fine. They did not do any formalities.
