Hotel Yak

In the October 1st week I was not looking for surprises (snowfall etc.) still my three days stay was wonderful and memorable. I would put down journey details, things I liked and didn't like. Took a Volvo Bus from New Delhi: The bus was from RK Ashram stop but at the last moment the agent informed to come to some other place, a near chaos plus additional Rs 300/-. Came to know that it is regular affair of these bus-walas. So keep confirming beforehand. In the bus they charge Rs 10 per luggage you keep in luggage apartment (all along bus-bottom). Ride was comfortable and the driver was sensible. 14 hours ride with around 2 hours break at few places including 1 hour break at 9 pm for dinner. (The bus AC was chiller, better use your woolens, the thin blanket provided was of little use.) Reached Manali...from the bus-stand itself I can see the Mountain peaks covered with ice. The Hotel Yak Yak has already sent the car for pickup. Courteous driver, new car. Although we reached the Hotel Yak well before check-in they helped in becoming us comfortable. The Hotel Yak is facing Mall-road, closest to all shopping activities. Taxi stand is also next to the Hotel Yak. Mall road doesn't look pretty (as in Shimla or Gangtok) hope it may get renovated soon as per local people. In the market beware of different levels of bargaining. Even some shopkeepers charged higher price for bottled water. Just near to the Hotel Yak is a park, beautiful park. Don't miss to visit this park which culminates at the bank of Byas river. See it to believe it. People here are nice in general, like mountain people. Temp was 15-18 deg Celsius in the day time and around 8-10 deg in the night. Landscape is divine and almost everywhere banked by river Bays. Food at the Yak Hotel Yak was delicious. Even the pack-lunch they provided for our visit to Rohtang pass. Shopping near the mall-road was a nice experience, but as told earlier, better your skills more you bargain. Although we didn't get any ice at Rohtang pass, still journey to the place was great. A number of waterfalls and breathtaking scenery. At Rohtang pass snow-mounted peaks were appearing very close, though they weren't. Option was there to visit the top with rented horses but we chose to go on foot like many others (after observing one horse getting little annoyed to pull down the rider). It was very cold and picturesque. The same day while returning we could have visited Solang valley but our team had some other ideas. The next day we went to Solang valley and enjoyed Para-gliding. The one from the highest point (you need to reach there through motorized trolley, beautiful) cost you Rs 1700 to 2000 that include Rs 400 for trolley ride. There are professional photographers who provide photos & videos for Rs 100-200 each. Out of Vasist temple and Hadimba temple I liked the latter for the kind of location it had. Well the location was like the park near the mall-road. Well in the cold weather the hot sulphur water at Vasist temple was soothing.

Hotel Yak is situated at best location in the heart of Manali. Market is just infront of Hotel Yak and there are many more things to explore like shopping of winter wears from branded things to local buyouts, dry fruits. Enjoy eat out at khau galli in the market. Hotel Yak has best scenic mountain view. Service is great, rooms are clean and has good interior too. Food is good at Hotel Yak Yak. To explore the Manali Hotel Yak Yak has great tour arrangement facility on travel desk at pocket friendly fares. Overall, Hotel Yak made my Manali trip the most memorable one.

Well there was ups and downs with the stay. I had already booked for an early check-in but they hesitated to give me room. First, then after half an hour they provided me with a room when I tried to call MMT helpline. The key of the room had some issues, it didn't work when I put it on the power switch, I had to do many kind of tricks to turn the power. Everytime I came to my room. But believe me my stay was very good. They provided me a room with an amazing view of the mountains and the mall road. The cleaning guys never came to my room. I stayed for 2 nights.

Yak Hotel gave me a great room with balcony and view of the mall. Thank you. My room was elegant, with a real double bed, beautifully made up and towels. Hot water and shower were great, in a big old fashioned bathroom. Mall was busy but quiet after 11:30. Person on reception is charming and professional, he was generous with assistance and keeping my luggage, thanks. I had some communication difficulties with other staff, they were helpful with my bags. WiFi and TV were OK for some of my stay. I recommend Yak Hotel.

Perfect location, delicious food( veg), and service was wonderful.
It was fantastic stay. Best location, well behaved staff, polite Nd food was awesome. Room were superb at budgeted price. I booked it for my mother and father. They are really happy by the service provided by the yak staff. And food was delicious. And mostly the location it is at the centre. Best for family and couple. And also the room service is very good, no complaints best Hotel Yak go and enjoy the stay.

This property is situated on starting of the mall road. I was bit sceptical at the beginning since its entry is small and have liquor shop adjoining. But once i entered the property it was safe and staff is really nice, respectful and act professionally. I stayed there for 3 nights and had quick room service experience. The only issue i encountered was that rooms are not cleaned regularly unless you ask for it. Other than that i didn’t find anything concerning.

We have booked Hotel from MakeMyTrip for 3 days. It is very good mid budget Hotel in mall Road. The view from balcony is awesome. Hotel staff is friendly and service is very quick. Food is also very good as we have ordered for 3 days. Only the tea is average which is poor everywhere in Manali however the Hotel made special tea on our feedback which was good. I Am happy to stay at Hotel Yak and highly recommend this Hotel.

Yak Hotel Yak booked through MMT. Friendly staff, 24/7 hot water, WiFi was weak. Spacious room. We got rooms at 1st floor. They have their own Veg restaurant (expensive). Food is OK not that good. Is it at the mall road... What else to say... Truly enjoyed. Halal restaurant is behind this Hotel Yak in the shopping area... Name Meerut halal restaurant serves TASTY Non Veg food. Overall Very good experience.

Right by the mall road from the balcony you get a full view of the mall road. Rooms are very clean and spacious Only problem is that it's on the busiest street so a bit noisy Overall a good stay

All good. Room was good. Food was good it was a comfortable stay. I was happy. The travel agency associated with the Hotel Yak was also nice. They also provided us early check out. I would like to recommend this Hotel Yak for its location, facilities and value for money. The food was also better than other restaurants on mall road.

Nice Hotel Yak to stay with family, the rooms were clean and tidy. The Hotel Yak staff were good. Near by all places are good .. Room size is too good .. Bathrooms are very nice Overall good value for the price, not extraordinary but nothing to complain about too.

Overall experience was very good. The vacation was memorable. The best part of the Hotel Yak is most convenient location. Almost everything is available in the nearby market. I rate the Hotel Yak as value for money.

I visit here 2nd time with family. Very nice place to stay here. Mall road best Hotel Yak.

All things are good, I ate out side but I take tea from Hotel Yak two times it was good but costly. The room interior was also good. Room has TV, hot water, and good room service, there is win. Road view. All good. Location service, all perfect. Mall road side rooms are best.

You can See night view of mall road from your room window. Food is good and tasty, batroom is neat and clean and room is spacy and mall road is clearly see in window of the Hotel Yak. Room service is better and staff is very corportive. Valueabke for money and enjoy the stay at this Hotel Yak.

Overall Hotel Yak is clean and good with good facilities. At this rate and at this location Hotel Yak is extremely good. The best part is the location as it is just behind the mall road of Manali and oversees it.
