Houseboat New Manila

My stay was average. Food was not very good and was quite expensive and no bill was issued to us for food. We went there to relax but the couple staying in the room next to us were drunk and were talking continuously very loudly till 2 am. Finally we complained to the staff about it but there was just one young boy who was cook/attendant, owner wasn't there so i felt such situation to be unsafe if some female is staying alone. Though i must admit that they tried to manage but it was beyond their control. Alcohol should not be allowed on houseboats. The shikara ride was nice. I can give 3/5 in all.

Electricity cuts, service was good food was great and guidance provided for city tours. Good hospitality

A memorable experience, this houseboat is full of hidden history. A very knowledgeable host, if you get the chance, do interact with him he will tell you a full history, this houseboat is full of master class kashmiri artwork, the natural wood feel and most expensive cedar wood being hand crafted with different designs. I recommend atleast do stay at new manila the food provided was fresh without any artificial flavouring which you won't find anywhere in srinagar. The boat boy is at your service even at night hours what a beautiful floating marvel

Not worth spending,disappointed with the service. You need to ask for everything, they won’t provide anything on their own. Even houseboat owner asked us to pay extra money for the drop to houseboat from ghat for the shikara. Overall not worth, better to opt for another houseboat if you are spending more than 6-7k

It was a great experience we really enjoyed and everyone was quite hospitable especially mr aqib who was being extremely helpful and humble. The food was delicious and the services were great. Even though it was cold but there were acs as well as hot water was available in washrooms. U must visit and stay there. Their menu was great and had all the varieties.

House boat new manila i hv rated the stay as 5 but there is a catch in it. Owner akib is an intelligent and soft spoken boy. You will love his company. Toiley cisterns are not in good shape need improvement. Food is very basic but hygienic. Local help in the boat vicky is good and obedient. Now biggest drawback is that despite the house boat being just 20 mtrs from dal road, hotel charges 500- for transfer ie rs. 250- per day. This leaves very bad taste. It needs to be discarded. I hv checked out-of new shangrila hotel my booking was for four 4 nights but i left in one night horrible experience

Best house boat! fabulous hospitality owner is so supportive. Specially organised a dinner for my family “dastar khan” and homemade yakhani.

whenever you visit srinagar just book this houseboat without a thought... the staff was helpful and behaved Professionally... rooms were nice and clean the houseboat is big and is a heritage property... overall it was a very good experience at this houseboat 😍😍😍
