Houseboat Old palace

Located on a peaceful, serene dal lake, away from the hustle of the city and the touristy spots, this stay was just what the soul needed. So thoughtfully created, these houseboats are like works of art, so regal and elegant. It was a joy just to be there! the staff are polite and respectful, something couple travelers do not often experience. They were happy to go out of their way to make the stay a truly wonderful experience. Their attention to details was heart warming. And the meals were a delight! not your regular Houseboat Old palace fare; it was cooked with a lot of care, giving the perfect home-cooked, local cuisine experience every traveler looks for when they visit a new place. To top it off, the owner also makes the effort to meet with every person visiting. And not just your typical formality type of meet and greet either; he makes it a point to actually spend quality time with everyone. Long story short, this stay is worth every penny, and is probably the best place we've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

We recently had the pleasure of staying on this 5-star luxury houseboat with my family, including our teenage kids, and it was an unforgettable experience. The exquisite hand carvings on the cedar wood are absolutely stunning and add a touch of elegance to the entire ambiance. The food was delightful, offering a range of delicious dishes that catered to every palate. Special thanks to our caretaker, raees, who was incredibly welcoming and ensured that all our needs were met with a smile. Owner danish ji went out of his way to personally meet us, which added a very personal and warm touch to our stay. The houseboat itself is a masterpiece of beauty and comfort, with our two-bedroom setup being perfect for our family. Our teenagers loved it just as much as we did. Highly recommend this houseboat for anyone looking to experience luxury and charm on the water!

Stayed in this house boat for a night during our kashmir trip, we had one rooms booked. It is very aesthetic, luxurious, modern and comfortable. Feels like floating palace. Wood carvings all around the interior of the boat are intricate and beautiful. Carpets, cushions, furnishings are rich and colorful. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and modern. Staff were very supportive and caring. We were offered biscuits and kashmiri kahwa on arrival. Check-in was smooth. Dinner and b'fast items were sumptuous. Shikara ride on dal lake early in the morning was an incredible experience. This houseboat is recommended for anyone looking for luxury stay on dal lake.

I had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, offering all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly. The location was convenient with easy access to local attractions and transportation. The view from the house boat is just unbelievably beautiful. The breakfast buffet provided a variety of delicious options. Overall, old palace group of house boats provided excellent service and a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This was undoubtedly my best, and most memorable experience ever. It was extremely clean, very good food they made us feel like family. Wonderful hospitality. The carpets the furniture were beautiful. At first i was apprehensive booking in a houseboat as i thought it would smell etc. But old palace houseboat totally changed my opinion. In my whole stay in kashmir, me and my family enjoyed this hosueboat the most. Danish ji ensured we are all very comfortable and looked after every small thing

In general it was a very nice experience to stay in this houseboat. The caretaker mr khan has received us well and explained everything nicely. I was very particularly impressed with the house boy captain mr. Aakash who was as very courteous and very caring. He speaks good english too. He took care of us so well and it was nice to listen to his explanation of various things on the lake tour. So all in all, we were impressed with the stay, especially the services provided by me. Excellent houseboat, the most beautiful on the lake. Excellent welcome from the manager danish who entertains the guests with nice explanations about the place, the wonderful handyman, danish who takes care of your stay and the excellent cuisine, finally mr. Sajid who with his shikara will take you on a wonderful tour of the lake. We highly recommend the stay in this wonderful houseboat for a relaxing and unforgettable experience. The location of houseboats is simply amazing. It’s serene, calm & bright. Houseboats were well maintained beyond expectations. Well equipped with full of amenities. Interior & furniture was rich that showed heritage of Kashmiri culture. Home cooked delicious food for breakfast & dinner. Overall once in a lifetime experience that will remain with me forever. Last but not the least our caretaker Idrees was so well mannered and friendly. Kudos to him 💙

Great location and comfortable stay with all the amenities you could expect from a high end Houseboat Old palace. Exceeded my expectations for a houseboat. Perfect location without the city hustle. Definitely worth trying if you are looking for a house boat stay in kashmir. Our care taker arshid was very useful in helping with all our needs and always there to answer our questions and guiding us.

Best place to hangout. I stayed in a boat house during my visit to srinagar and what I can say about the stay is awsome. I am a person who do not write review easily but this place deserve it all. From now I am going to recommend all of you to just experience it once in a life it's great to stay in a boat house. 😍

The best of our visit to valley of kashmir was old palace house boats, the warm welcome by the owner glam mohd will be a attraction to come again and again. We have witnessed the famous saying of mughal emporer babar, if there a paradise on the earth it's here(valley of kashmir)

Mr. Danish was a friendly, transparent host who helped us arrange a shikara ride, a taxi to kargil and also accommodation there. The houseboat was nice, clean, quite and had a nice outdoor area. )
