Hoysala Village Resorts

We, with family of four with Kids, stayed here for 2 days during Oct 2022. In single sentence, its a truly amazing and native experience of Malnad Karnataka starting from Welcome to farewell. On arrival we are given hot water to wash hands, they put traditional Kunkum and welcome all guests with a nice welcome drink. Staff are very courteous with a traditional 'namaste' at every moment. Rooms are clean and lavish. We stayed in a jacuzzi villa and kids enjoyed hot water jacuzzi with embedded FM. Property is spaceous with full of greenary and medicinal herbs. All rooms are artistic with wooden finish. in fact whole property is architecturally designed. Breakfast Lunch and Dinner buffet spread is awesome. Breakfast is served on plaintain leaf, which is unique in a way. its motherly served. Whole resort is designed to uphold Malnad culture like gopuja (worshipping cattle), serving on plaintain leaf, Kunkum, bullock cart ride, Farm visit, nature walk, traditional food, Birthday celebration as per Hindu culture and finally the farewell with a nice gift !! Two singers concert during serving food, which is very relaxing. Kudos to them. Special thanks to JayKumar, who took care of us during whole stay. My daughter and myself stayed at this resort on the way to Hornadu. What's endearing about this place, is it's like a journey back in time, to medieval India, with modern comforts. 5 to the design concept. The property is next to a busy Road, so some noise issues, which I think can be easily rectified putting in noise barrier foliage. The food taste is not what I would call fantastic Mumbai standards (I find the taste quality of all cuisines quite yummy in Mumbai. A personal taste I suppose) however, the service more than makes up for it as, this is excellent. I interacted with Prasad, the restaurant manager, who listens to the guest's requirement keenly. Spoke to a lady by the name Fathima, again very hospitable. Spoke at length with Mr. Rajkumar Sharma who's the gm incharge of the property. An absolute professional, keen on receiving feedback and actioning on it. In short highly recommend this place to unwind, relax and savour in the Hoysala experience.

We reached the resort late in the night and were welcomed with warm smiles and a traditional welcome drink, the check-in process was smooth. We were escorted to our rooms and the rooms were very well maintained and thoughtfully curated with rustic wooden furniture. Dinner was amazing and true to the roots of being malnad village style. We had an early morning refreshing village walk, breakfast was extremely tasty and homely. They served small portions of amazing dishes and each one was delicious. We oversaw a gopuja after bf, the send off was equally as good as the check-in process which was special. What really makes the resort a must stay is the staff who are extremely humble, hospitable and always with a kind smile on their faces. I would definitely go back for a longer stay and i can't wait to take my family to this beautiful resort.

Extremely welcoming and kind staff. Service is warm, humble and considerate. They went above and beyond to support us. The rooms had lots of character, not the typical cut and paste Hoysala Village Resorts room that you would see. Loved the architecture of the rooms and the decor, very rustic and yet modern. The restaurant food was great with lots of options, and the grounds in general were very nice. The food is local produce and is fantastic, they focus on local cuisine and their breakfasts are legendary(don’t plan to go out immediately after breakfast, i can bet you can’t after having that lengthy breakfast. They had a live performer playing the keyboard, with many old songs. This would be the first place i go to if i’m in this area again.

Took a small break here, arrived in the resort by 4 to a very warm welcome. The check-in was a breeze. Within a short while tea and small snacks were served for high tea. We booked a massage at their in-house curved center and while we waited for our slot, we went around the property filled with a variety of plants and some birds too. Post a relaxing massage and warm bath we went for dinner which was a elaborate spread of local delicacies. We retired to our room for a peaceful night sleep. Morning post a good spread of the usual breakfast items coupled with some nice local food we headed to our next destination.
The room didn't have a hair dryer. We had to ask twice before it came.

Had a great one night stay at Hoysala Village Resorts. The result is close to Belur and Halebid. The resort has big sized rooms but they can be maintained better. Nothing seems to be broken but for the price, the finishing can be better. The food is average and if that is made better it will add a whole new dimension to the experience. We had a-la-carta lunch at the resort and we were made to sit outside and dine because the restaurant was exclusively for buffet. This did not feel good. For dinner we had picked up the buffet, the food was average but the service was excellent. Overall, it is a good experience and the staff is really cordial. Must try once!

Beautiful stay well maintained and comfortable. Hospitality of the staff is just awesome. Had visited there with my family on the occasion of my wife's birthday. A cake was made n they had decorated the cake cutting table in a unique manner which was totally desi and a traditional manner by lighting the lamp and the entire hospital staff were present to wish us following which we even planted a plant which was the best way to celebrate ones a day. A few names that will always be remembered are Mr. Ballal, the manager, Mrs. Sunitha and Mrs. Triveni for their kind gesture and hospitality. Would definitely visit again for sure.

A lovely property with extremely wonderful and helpful staff. Right from the gate staff, to the reception, servers, housekeeping and everyone who was around. The musician though the day was very very nice. And so was the duo who performed darning dinner. The restaurant blurs food was average though. They organized a nice dance performance for a Saturday night. The room was clean, bathroom clean too. It was nice (and a pleasant surprise) to walk into the room with very intricately done flower decor. A not too Long drive from Belur, Hablebid and Chickmangalur. It is a good choice for families who need a quick break.

Stayed in Hoysala palace room. It was like a room in the royal palace, uniquely designed with artistically wooden furniture and a copper bathtub. Had a great feeling. The entire resort is covered with full of greeneries and is refreshing. Very good food and courteous staff.

The resort has a lovely ambiance. It consists of individual cottages nestled amongst beautiful trees and plants. The restaurant serves good food. The staff is very courteous and friendly. They take good care of guests. The spa experience was good. Overall a great experience

This is a vast property with enough space to maintain social distancing. The staff are well aware of the protocol and they do follow it all the time

The stay was excellent. The cottage was spacious. The staff were very courteous. Facilities including pool was really good. Can improve on the indoor and outdoor games. Other activities like magic show and dance programs were well organized. Food was also good. Traditional varieties were available and good service at restaurant. Overall had a great time close to the nature. Completely satisfied.

Looking forward to next one. Had a great time.

Rooms I was allotted had a musty odor, ended up paying for a upgraded room than going for a swap. Jacuzzi villa was very spacious and well maintained. Had a separate covered sit out at the back and an open terrace. Property is well maintained, colorful and full of photo opportunities. Restaurant food is average and repetitive. Service is rather slow and needs reminders to get anything even when restaurant is not that busy. Property is located well on Hassan Belur Road. Belur and Halebeedu can be covered in a day from here.

Starting from the welcome rituals till farewell rituals everything was just fantastic. We had a comfy stay with our 5 months old baby.

Visited in july 2023. Had a comfortable stay. The resort is beautiful and the rooms are well maintained. Good food at the kokum restaurant, especially the plantain leaf breakfast. Courteous staff who make sure the stay is comfortable. The resort has ample parking and is at a comfortable driving distance to nearby attractions - belur, halebeedu and belavadi.
