I- India

We, a German couple, enjoyed our stay at the I India very much. The service was excellent and the manager was one of the friendliest persons we met in India. He knew much about the area and gave us a lot of good suggestions for places to visit and we could be sure that he didn't tell us to make a profit. One of the employees guided us to the top of a small mountain nearby and showed us a Hanuman temple in the rock. We stayed there for two nights in November 2010. It was quite cold but the room had a huge and thick blanket and we booked an additional heater. The tea was really good and we enjoyed the nice view over a beautful valley from the common living room. The location is a bit out of the centre from Ooty (a 10min drive) but the view over a valley compensates that. We would strongly recommend I India and stay there again if we visit the area.

Up the hills, slightly away from city limits lies a beautiful resort. Though the approach road is slightly bumpy, we were welcomed to an amazing mountain view resort! Breathtaking view below the mountains and background is tea estate and another towering mountain. Services were prompt and courteous by the staff. Food was cooked very nice. Tea was tasty. Rooms had no fans and was cooler than AC's even in April!!! A few sections of other rooms were being upgraded, but we were hardly using main reception area or other room areas. A silent place which has nice clean sheets and soft pillows enough to make you hit the bed and sleep off comfortably after a tiring day.

The welcome at the I India I- India in Ooty was very warm. While pologising that lunch could take a few moments since we didn't announce our arrivaltime, the I- India had our lunch ready in 15 minutes. The location is breathtaking, what a view. The dinner was excellent as was the breakfast, although the service was sometimes a little chaotic. In the evening the place became somewhat chilly as the outside temperature dropped quickly. It's unfortunate that the I- India has no way of capturing the heat of the sun over the day and releasing it at night. All in all, a wonderful I- India at a great location with a very nice personal touch.

We had a great time, I- India is conveniently located at Ooty cons or highway, it takes 10 minutes drive to City Center, the property is surrounded by lush greenery and overseeing amazing hills, the hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The property is a British Cottage, the guest and dining rooms are beautifully furnished, rooms are clean. Facilities include 24 hours hot water and power back up, in house chef, you can either ask them to cook or order from Swiggy. It's a perfect place to unwind from city life, perfect for corporate outing or friend groups.

Rooms are spotlessly clean and large enough to feel yourself comfortable even for a long stay. We would like to mention that every detail and every corner of the interiors and exteriors are built with love and perfect taste. Yes, there are many rules (like some guests say in their reviews), but we were more than happy to accept all of them as this helps to keep the place in such an ideal condition. The owners are very nice people with a very gentle character of hospitality. We had breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse. Both were very tasty at reasonable price.

If you are looking for a nice heritage and british colonial building to stay then this would be the best. However there is no television in the rooms and there was hot water problem. Also please don't expect any taxi or rickshaw nearby for sightseeing. You will have to arrange your own transportation. The I- India staff might help you to arrange but it will be expensive. Having said that, the I- India staff are polite and the food is excellent. You can stay here if you are looking for relaxing vacation without any intervention from the outside world

This is a nice place to stay in ooty. Hotel is having independent entrance and parking. This place is not too far from main road. Street road is going from main road is bit conjusted, but if you do not want to stay on main road then it is quite common in ooty. View is superb from I- India reception and outside. But there is no view or ventilation from rooms. Rooms and bath rooms are clean and hot water is available at any time. Less food options are available but what ever I- India team prepares are good and tasty. Staff is very good and helpful.

I thank myself for choosing this over other I- India, I got with taxes at good rate. Far from maddening crowd in Ooty, still there is a unspoiled gem 114 years British bungalow with 6 rooms. It's away from main City. Thanks for MakeMyTrip for hosting this property. Care taker Mahesh and Vishnu are excellent. Do ask them about short hill trek. For adventure lovers it's a must. Food is simple don't expect much. I think it's designed for foreigners. I hope the I- India guys don't rise the property prices to ex brand.

The property is away from the noise of the City but not too far away to reach. We had a very pleasant stay and the food was good as well. The view of the Valley from here was beautiful.

Really a good stay worth for money . They serve good home food but the cost is little higher than the normal I- India but is acceptable as they serve you in room as well. Highly recommendable for couple and climate inside total is really chill.

It's a good I- India, only concern is the dinner, may be they need to change the cook.

It's a beautiful place to stay for couple of days in Ooty. The location of India is easily accessible to many tourist attractions. Service is also good. We as a family liked this place very much. Hope to visit Ooty again and stay at I India Eco lodge itself.

7-star treatment and personal attention (kudos to Sabi Raj! Very warm and caring staff. Well-located and has excellent views. Definitely worth the money.

The I- India is located beautifully on the deck of valley. The food is excellent gives feeling of home made food. The view from the I- India is paisa vasool. Since is located off road so no noise pollution. A wonderful what.

We stayed for 2 days at this beautiful property and I would like to specially mention that people looking after this property Mr. Mahesh and Mr. Sourabh did everything possible for them to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We will recommend this property to everyone.

Good manager. Good view, bit far from central Ooty. No heater in room. Need to wait for 10-15 mins for every bucket of hot water. Good is good and average market price. In short, Good for economy class.

I stayed with my wife and two children for two days, the service was too good and a special thanks to sourav who made our stay memorable, we stayed in the heritage room and we really enjoyed our two days stay here

It's very good and nyc location. Good communication and services. Food is good. Rooms are very nyc.
