IORA Retreat Kaziranga

The property is well located with very easy access to the central, western and eastern zones of the kaziranga sanctuary. The IORA Retreat Kaziranga appreciates safari tourism and makes full efforts to help guests. When we had an early morning safari they packed the breakfast for us so that we would not go hungry. The food was wholesome and adequate. The cuisine in their multi-cuisine restaurant is really of an excellent quality, both in taste and quantity. The property is beautifully landscaped and and at this time was a riot of colours with flowers of so many varieties in full bloom. The staff, and housekeeping especially, is very courteous, helpful and fairly efficient. The rooms are of a big size and my only complaint was that the lighting was less. Hygiene and safety standards seemed okay but decent toiletry would be appreciated instead of refill tubes for every thing. But on the whole it was a good experience that i would not mind repeating.

It was a pleasant stay at the iora the retreat kaziranga for my family. Rooms were spacious and clean with all the basic amenities. Breakfast had variety to choose from. Children play-zone in the yard was a good place for my toddler, he enjoyed a lot. Perfect place for couples, families or singles for a leisure trip to pamper ourselves. A decent size swimming pool for those who love to dip and cool off the summer heat. For those who love flowers and birds, this is the right place to engage yourself with the nature very closely. And don't forget to get an ayurveda massage to distress yourself which is reasonably priced. Jungle safari can be done which can be arranged from the front desk. Over all a good and excellent stay with my family, decent staffs, lovely food. Will definitely visit again. Btw mm t price offer was cheaper by 1k as compared to direct booking at the IORA Retreat Kaziranga.

Great rooms, and really comfortable beds. View from the balcony is beautiful too. Very attentive staff who’s very helpful and hospitality is top notch. Food at the restaurant is especially good with a wide range of selections from either indian cuisine or oriental cuisine. I’m malaysian chinese and i was incredibly satisfied with their oriental dishes. Both restaurant and bar are reasonably priced. The IORA Retreat Kaziranga also helped us arrange 3 safari jeep rides and we went to central, western, and far western regions in 2 days! the guide is really knowledgeable and speaks good english and we saw many many animals and the rhinos and elephants were the highlight of this trip to kaziranga national park (too bad we didn’t see tigers) thanks so much iora resort for making our trip so memorable and the best one in india yet!

Our 3 night stay at iora was truly a pleasurable experience. Everything about this resort just ticked off all the boxes. Proves that a not so mainstream brand can also deliver an ace product. The architecture of the property is firstly, a testament to how a property well designed can make all the difference. Generous walkways, lush gardens, structures that aren't concrete eyesores. The pool a generous 70 footer. The rooms are large n spacious with a king size bed and space for an extra bed, without any sign of being cramped! the food at the restaurant, particularly the indian cuisine, very good. And lastly, the respite needed from the enduring kaziranga safari tours, the service supplements the comfort of the property with courteous n caring assistance at the drop of a weary traveller hat!

We had a great and lovely experience staying at iora. The location is perfect, amid-st a forest, just a few minutes away from central entrance to kaziranga and away from the highway so it was quiet and peaceful. The area is huge and perfect for families. And the food! oh i have to comment on the food. It was just delicious. There are two restaurants and we tried the food from both. Bhatbaan, which serves ethnic assamese cuisine is a must try. The staffs were very nice and polite too. Truly a wonderful experience. The only negative feedback i have is the swimming pool. It is not properly maintained as well as everything else. But all in all, we had a great time.

The food of the resort is horrible, we ordered kungpao for our brunch, and what we got is a vegetable stew, and even on complaining about it, the kitchen staff was not at all responsive, the food is overpriced, as you will be charged in excess of the usual for normal dal, chawl & potato fries, breakfast was horrible, the sambhar and chutney for the dosa served at breakfast were just like liquid drinks, and moreover the resort is surrounded by tea gardens and fellow travellers expect that they might get tea from those gardens which are fresh and have a authentic assam tea taste, but instead you will be served with the machine tea all the time.

Yesterday’s was my second stay in this beautiful property amid the nature and greenery surrounded by kaziranga national park. The staff members from every field are very cordial and helpful. Food was too great. There are two restaurants in their premises. ‘bhatban’ is the name of the restaurant where traditional and ethnic assamese food is being served, whereas the other one is a multi cuisine restaurant. One must come and visit iora the retreat to get the vibes of nature with all modern amenities. I truly enjoy every time i visit this property. And last but not least, the property is too clean and well maintained.

The property is really beautiful with greenery everywhere and also the rooms have a real rustic vibe to them, went to the complimentary breakfast buffet which was really well prepared and loved the pool where we spent almost 4 hrs there. The only fault i found was they charge money poolside for smoking and also for swimwear which seemed unclean and also really unhygienic to share undergarments. They charge a hefty amount per room so i find it really unreasonable that they charge extra money be it 100rs poolside and dampen what could've been a perfect staycation at kaziranga.

Awesome food, great hospitality and excellent staff

Location is quite good, rooms are spacious and well maintained. Service and attitude of staff is at par with 5* IORA Retreat Kazirangas. Food spread especially in the assamese restaurant is wonderful an area of improvement could be facilities fir kids, the game room was in a poor state of upkeep.

Stay was perfect. Room was adequately big for 3 adults and 1 kid. Property had a very natural ambience. Restaurant menu was good for dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful. They babysit-ted out kid while we enjoyed a peaceful dinner. Breakfast spread could be more.

Safe, clean and hygienic stay. Happy with the hospitality and convenient to reach. Just near the highway. Thank you. Recommended.

The jacuzzi was not allowed to be used as it was not working. The reason was really vague as the guy told there was not enough water in it.

Stayed at iora resort to celebrate my wife’s birthday on 4th january. It was our first stay at the resort, although we have visited the restaurant several times in the past. We were highly impressed with the cleanliness, excellent staff behaviour and services and the best part was the sumptuous food and cocktail. Do try their north east chill i cocktail, next time you visit. We will revisit again.

Clean and comfortable environment. But not value for money, a bit costly comparing the same class IORA Retreat Kazirangas nearby.

My friend in Guwahati recommended this resort to me, saying it's one of the best resorts in Kaziranga. And it turned out to be a real good one.. true to expectations. Check in and check out were real smooth affairs, food was great, rooms very comfortable and the staff in the dining hall were exceptional. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Planning to visit again, soon👍
