ayodhya, which i had booked for a seven-day family trip. unfortunately, the stay at this property was far below expectations, leading to an incredibly frustrating experience that not only ruined my vacation but also left me questioning the standards and quality of properties listed. i had planned this trip with my family of five, hoping for a religious and cultural exploration of ayodhya, a city of immense historical and spiritual significance. however, the state of the jagdamba hotel completely detracted from the experience and made it almost impossible for us to enjoy our stay. ### booking overview and initial expectations as a family of five, we booked a room at jagdamba hotel with the understanding that it would meet the basic standards expected of a hotel listed. our expectations were grounded in the assumption that the property would offer a clean and comfortable space for us to rest after a day of sightseeing and religious visits. unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, we began to notice a stark contrast between the description and actual condition of the hotel. ### room condition: unhygienic, dirty, and unacceptable upon checking into our room, we were immediately appalled by the state of the accommodation. the room was not cleaned properly, and it was immediately evident that basic hygiene was not a priority at jagdamba hotel. the floors were not swept, with dust and dirt scattered everywhere. it was evident that sweeping was considered an unnecessary task, as the entire floor had visible dust and grime. to make matters worse, the bed linens were not cleaned. the sheets appeared to have been used and not replaced, with stains and signs of wear and tear. we had specifically requested a clean, comfortable stay for five people, but it seemed that even the most basic housekeeping practices were not being followed. in addition to the unswept floors and unclean linens, the room had a strong, unpleasant smell of pesticides. this odor was overpowering and made it difficult to spend any extended period of time in the room without feeling discomforted. the presence of such a strong chemical scent was concerning, as it seemed to indicate a lack of proper sanitation practices or proper care of the property. ### inadequate bedding and basic amenities i had specifically booked this hotel for five people, assuming that basic accommodations, including sufficient bedding, would be provided. to my surprise, the hotel only gave us two blankets, despite the fact that we were a group of five. when i raised this issue with the staff, their response was completely unsatisfactory. they did not offer any additional bedding and suggested that i simply share the available blankets. this is completely unacceptable for a hotel that claims to cater to families or groups. this lack of consideration for guests' comfort is concerning, especially when traveling as a family with children. the minimum expectation from a hotel of any standard should be to provide clean, adequate bedding and ensure that every guest is comfortable during their stay. jagdamba hotel failed in this fundamental aspect. ### room shift: even worse conditions i approached the hotel staff, requesting a room change, in the hope that the situation could be rectified. while they acknowledged the issues with the room, they suggested shifting us to another room. expecting a better experience, we agreed to the room change. however, when we moved to the other room, we were greeted with even worse conditions. the second room was more poorly maintained than the first, with similar cleanliness issues—dust on the floors, unclean bedding, and an overpowering smell that was even worse than the first room. the second room seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. the sheets were stained and appeared to have been used by previous guests, with no effort made to change them. the overall cleanliness of the room was appalling, and the strong chemical smell of pesticides was again present, making it unbearable to stay there. it was clear that jagdamba hotel was not maintaining a basic standard of hygiene, and even after requesting a room change, we were subjected to the same dismal conditions. this level of negligence is unacceptable, and i truly did not expect such an experience from a hotel listed. ### impact on our trip and family the unsanitary conditions of the hotel completely ruined our trip. we were in ayodhya for religious purposes, and we had planned an itinerary to explore the city and its sacred sites. however, the constant stress and discomfort of staying in an unclean, poorly maintained hotel overshadowed any potential enjoyment of our visit. we spent most of our time trying to manage the situation with the hotel staff instead of focusing on the purpose of our trip. moreover, the state of the hotel created an atmosphere of frustration and disappointment for my entire family. we had been looking forward to this trip for months, and instead of enjoying the spiritual and cultural significance of ayodhya, we were left dealing with an unclean and unsafe living environment. this situation led to unnecessary stress, which could have been easily avoided if basic cleanliness and hospitality standards were maintained by the hotel. however, my experience with jagdamba hotel has raised serious concerns about the standards of properties listed. i understand that you cannot personally inspect every hotel listed, but it is clear that properties like jagdamba hotel, which fail to meet even the most basic hygiene and comfort standards, should not be featured. i am extremely disappointed that a property like this was listed without a proper quality check, leading to a completely ruined vacation for my family. ### request for immediate action in light of the aforementioned issues, i request the following: 1. **full refund**: i expect a full refund for the entire amount paid for this accommodation, as the hotel failed to provide the services and conditions as promised. 2. **review of hotel listings**: i urge to take immediate action to review and reassess the hotels listed to ensure that only properties that meet basic hygiene and service standards are featured. this would prevent future customers from facing similar issues. 3. **compensation for disrupted trip**: given that the hotel’s negligencef significantly impacted our trip, i also request compensation for the inconvenience, distress, and disrupted vacation. i hope that will take my complaint seriously and take the necessary steps to ensure that no other customers have to endure a similar experience at jagdamba hotel or any other properties of similar poor standards. i look forward to your prompt response Had a great experience. Felt just like home. Locality nearby homestay was not so good but facilities inside it are quite satisfying.

The homestay was very good and have a lovely staff who can assist anytime for support. The location of the homestay is also in a favorable place where one can get online food delivered and one can visit temple without any hassle as there were share autos available all the times. They also provide homely food in good rates.

Pros: ritesh ji is a good host, warmly welcomes guests and is of very helping nature. Stay is closer to ram mandir and nearby to road, so convinient for travels. Rooms are basic with basic facilities, good option for short budget stays. Cons: there is issue with flies and rats especially at night. Only a few rooms have ventilation others have none.

The stay was too good. Situated a bit inside so good from traffic irritation. The rooms are too clean and the manager also was too kind and served us every tasty food and beverages at ver reasonable costs. Being a new stay , makes it too good and is completely air conditioned👍. I prefer this stay on my next visit to Ayodhya. The manager also has best routes and map of visitors spots . Safe and preferred stay at reasonable price 🙂.
