Jeevan Cool Homestay | Cottage & Villa

We started from Bengaluru at 6AM, had breakfast on the way, visited Sakaleshwara temple, Manjarabad Fort, had lunch and checked into Jeevan Cool Homestay. It is on the highway, lot of greenery, no other buildings nearby, makes it perfect for a real cool stay. It has got one separate cottage and 3 independent rooms with attached bathrooms. There is huge space for parking and campfire. Dining area is very spacious with good views all around. The covered terrace offers indoor games. The property gives real good vibes with everything being new, serene and clean; hosts Mr Umesh, Mrs Umesh and their sons Dheeraj and Dhanush are just a call away for catering to any of our needs or to clarify on anything, much appreciated. We visited amazing Bisle view point and Kukke Subramanya in the evening to be back for a good night’s sleep. We woke up to melody of many chirping birds outside; washed our car that got dirty during the rains of previous evening trip. We got sumptuous breakfast in the form of neer dosas, akki rottis, chutney, sambar, ginnu (milk pudding – one shall ask for more of it) and tea. We were off for a day trip to many viewpoints, water falls, temples, hilltops, all in drivable distance, but need quite some footwork at each of the places visited! Evening strolls in the silent coffee estate attached to the homestay with 2 small ponds was really refreshing – one could go for stroll or a trek in the estate anytime of the day! The breakfast of next morning was lip-smacking – set dosas, idlies, chutney, raw jackfruit sambar, carrot halwa, on demand ginnu (again 😊 ) and coffee. There are spices available at the Homestay - we bought good black pepper, other items of tea and coffee seemed higher priced than MRP, which we bought nonetheless for variety. It was time to pack off to newer destinations, overall stay is memorable, would like to come back, hopefully with larger group to better enjoy and utilize the amenities. Hadn't been expecting too much from sakleshpur, but fortunately found this beautiful property listed on mm t just a few days before our intended trip. Went with my parents, husband and our toddler, and this turned out to be the best possible stay we could have asked for, since we were looking for something not too far from bangalore, but also amid-st nature, and this stay also provided many indoor games for time pass in the evening. Our baby was highly engaged and had fun both indoor and outdoor. Food was great as expected, as mentioned in other reviews too. Situated in a coffee estate the stay itself was a tour for us, as it came with great view of hillocks, variety of vegetations, and scenic terrace corners. If you're aiming for a quick trip to sakleshpur and don't have time to drive further up to more scenic places , then 100% do book a stay here,

Our host umesh anna welcomed us at the entrance and guided us to the property. When enquired about places to visit umesh anna suggested us to take a jeep (the best suggestion rs 3500 per day - money well spent) some highlights about the property: awesome view outside, dedicated parking space, clean washroom and room, accommodates 4 persons, safe feel, dine with an amazing view, hot water 24/7 available for bathing, kettle on request, ro drinking water, & inverter. Some suggestions: an induction stove wud have helped us more though umesh anna extended help in terms of heating food, and a curtain to separate kitchen area from sleeping area would have given some privacy especially for ladies to change clothes.

We were not sure what to expect when we booked at Jeevan Cool Homestay. Right from the beginning, Dheeraj courteously messaged me asking food preferences and approx time of arrival. We arrived at the Home stay to a very warm welcome by Dheeraj parents, Mr. and mrs. Umesh. Aunty is an awesome cook. She dished up local delicacies for us. I wish I could learn from her. They have also aesthetically designed their home to give visitors like us security and privacy. All in all, it was a lovely, memorable, and delicious experience for us.

Great experience at the homestay. Staying for the first time in amid-st coffee plantation. Place is kept clean and spacious with many extra beds. Some indoor games were kept and we end up playing carroms. It is conveniently located outskirts of sakleshpur to visit the nearby hiking places. We had opted for dinner there and food is average. Breakfast is vegetable rice. Host is very friendly and informative. We did a short tour of the plantation and bought some spices from them.

We had a great time here. Our hosts were very courteous and accommodating. The place is serene, isolated and peaceful overall. We were served with authentic tasty food for dinner and lunch. Refreshing tea and coffee were served too. They put up a campfire for us as well which was really nice. Sight seeing activities are spread out across Sakleshpur, so be ready to drive quite a bit to get from one spot to another.

The place has 3-4 rooms and the owners stay in the below floor. All the food provided was home food and malnad style. The food was excellent and tasty. The estate is very peaceful and you can simply sit and gaze at the mountains surrounding the estate. The rooms and washrooms were absolutely clean. No wi-fi. Anyways wi-fi makes no sense since you are enjoying the nature there.

Everything is perfect here. The location, the hosts, the food all of it. Anyone planned for a visit to sakleshpur this is a must stay place. Food which has aunty's so much love in it is the yummiest i ever had(swear being a foodie. Uncle is very kind and affectionate. Dheeraj is a life saver and the best host. Loved everything about the stay.

It was a nice stay and everything was good. There were no issues regarding the stay.

We stayed there for 2 days. First day was at the cottage area where the location and the room were kind of okay but then we upgraded to the luxury room. The luxury room had a good area and a perfect view.

It is situated at an excellent location. They provide buffet for dinner and breakfast. Location is easily accessible. Tasty home made food. Rooms were clean. Excellent stay

The stay was wonderful. Pros - * good place awesome vibe * owner was friendly * games and bonfire * situated away from the crowd, very peaceful cons - * no food was provided, they only provided breakfast which was a bit expensive * nearby places have no good restaurants even in near 15km radius hence it was difficult to get dinner

I Am lucky to find this home stay in make my trip. I really felt like home, with good food and their hospitality. Wish to visit again. Requesting for a attached bathroom at least by next time.

Very homely people and the place is very pleasant. If you're opting for outside food, you need to travel 7 km for veg-food and 13 km for non-veg food.

Great hosts and the place is extremely good with coffee plantations. Breakfast is made in home, and it is really good. Would have loved more if we had a dinner option available in the same place, nevertheless a great stay. This is my 1st home stay and it was a great experience. Thanks to umesh sir for all the efforts to make us feel home.
