General Terms and Conditions
- MakeMyTrip will host the show ‘Knock Knock’ on its platform, which will include auctions, quizzes, lucky draws and other games as MakeMyTrip may deem fit.
- Participation in the show is free. Users after accepting these terms and conditions shall be enrolled for the entire season of the Knock Knock Show. Knock Knock Show enrolment is account specific.
- The Knock Knock Show will have various episodes and each episode shall have elements as per the discretion of MakeMyTrip.
- Any product/service made available by MakeMyTrip on the Knock Knock Show shall be subject to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy of MakeMyTrip.
- By participating in the Knock Knock Show, the user agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in addition to any other Specific Terms and Conditions as may be applicable.
- License: Subject to these T&Cs, MakeMyTrip grants a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use this website as expressly permitted herein. MakeMyTrip hereby grants the user a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, limited license to view or print the content on this site without alterations, for personal, non-commercial use only. The user agrees not to interrupt or attempt to interrupt the operation of the website in any manner whatsoever.
- User agrees not to distribute (in any medium) any part of the content of this website.
- User shall not distribute, exchange, modify, sell or transmit anything from the website, including but not limited to any text, image, audio and video; for any business, commercial or public purpose.
- User agrees to follow all instructions provided by MakeMyTrip which will govern the way such user may use the website.
- There may be a number of proprietary logos, service marks and trademarks displayed on the Website. MakeMyTrip does not grant the user a license, right or authority to utilize such proprietary logos, service marks, or trademarks in any manner except for searching or procuring any services or products of MakeMyTrip.
- All users expressly agree that their use of this site and/or its contents and services is their total responsibility and at their sole risk.
- MakeMyTrip reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the access to the website and the services offered on the same or any portion thereof at any time, without notice, for general maintenance or any other reason whatsoever.
- MakeMyTrip may periodically make improvements or changes on its website at any time, without any notice to the user.
- MakeMyTrip reserves the right to change these terms and conditions. The user is responsible for regularly reviewing these terms and conditions.
- The terms and conditions herein are subject to interpretation as per the laws of India, and the parties shall refer any unresolved disputes to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi.
- Force majeure: MakeMyTrip shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to any cause beyond its control including natural disasters, earth quakes, floods, fire, explosion, accidents, epidemics, quarantine restrictions or any other act of public enmity including but not restricted to any business compulsion or shutdown/breakdown of website, block of passage, revolution, riots, civil commotion, hostility, sabotage, quarantine restrictions, act of god and acts of government, strikes, embargoes, go-slow, lock-out, closure, theft, dislocation of normal working conditions, internet or network non-availability, accident, war, riots, civil commotion, political upheaval, break-down of machinery, any terrorist activity, any natural calamity, adverse weather or climatic condition, or any other causes or conditions beyond the control of MakeMyTrip. Whether directly due to, or in consequence of the aforesaid causes and the existence of such causes shall operate to extend the time of performance till the cause of delay shall have ceased to exist.
- Any misrepresentation of any fact or particulars (deemed material by MakeMyTrip) shall result in disqualification and/or the forfeiture, withholding, withdrawal or reclaiming of any product/service auctioned.
- Any participant winning under any of the above will be e-mailed the details of the package and the cost at which he has won it. There will be an expiry period of 8 days with each package.
- The participant who wins under any of the above would be required to submit a copy of his ID proof (with address), a photo, and preferred dates on which he wants to travel. (via an e-mail id provided in the previous e-mail)
- Subject to receipt of the details of the winning participant, a representative of MakeMyTrip shall call him/her and help in selecting a flight and a hotel for the trip. Customer might want to take a flight from his hometown and hence a price difference might occur. (As the participant is winning this at a discounted price, the choice of flight offered is at MakeMyTrip’s discretion). Also, there will be few blackout dates which we would want to avoid.
- Travel bookings against the prize(s)/bid(s) won/procured under the show should be made within 14 days of receiving the details of such prize(s)/bid(s). The travel period shall only be 21 days post the date of booking and within the next 6 months. The winners/procurers shall solely be liable for payment of all the expenses/taxes/statuary payments to be made towards availing the prize(s)/bid(s) won.
- The outcome of the auction, quizzes, lucky draw or/and games shall be system generated and shall be binding on all participants. No objection to the same will be entertained at any point in time.
- The products/prizes/services won and/or procured through the show are strictly for personal use and is extendable to friends and family only. Any commercial use, including but not limited to by Travel Agent, of the same is prohibited and would amount to legal consequences.
For Auction (My Auction)
- Participation in the Auction is voluntary and shall be deemed void where prohibited. User must be 18 years of age and must have a valid ID proof (with address).
- Participation in the Auction is subject to ‘General T&Cs’ and these Terms and Conditions (‘Specific T&Cs’) (collectively ‘T&Cs’). In the event of any inconsistency between the Specific T&Cs and the General T&Cs, the Specific T&Cs shall prevail. Entry into this Auction is deemed acceptance of these T&Cs and any amendments, additions, replacements, variations and modifications hereto, and shall be final and binding in all respects on each participant. Amendments made to the T&Cs will be posted on this webpage. By entering the Auction, participants agree to be bound by and to comply with the T&Cs. Non-compliance with or breach of any of these T&Cs may disqualify a participant at any stage of the Auction, and any prizes won may be forfeited, withheld, withdrawn or reclaimed.
- MakeMyTrip reserves the right, at any time in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute, withdraw, add or alter any of the products/services offered for bidding without notice to the participants.
- All bids placed are legally valid bids and are to be considered as bids from the bidder himself. Once the bid is placed, the bidders cannot modify or withdraw the bid for whatever reason. The highest/lowest and the latest valid bid on the Auction shall supersede all the previous bids of the bidder.
- Participation and bidding in the Auctions on the website shall be treated as conclusive evidence of the fact that the bidder has reviewed the description of the product/service to be Auctioned and is satisfied in all respects regarding the quality, quantity, taxes and duties, and other extraneous factors and the principle of caveat emptor (let the bidder beware) that may apply. It shall also imply that the bidder has carefully gone through the terms and conditions, including amendments, if any, prevailing at the time of the Auction. No objections or complaints will be entertained once the bid is placed.
- MakeMyTrip does not give any warranty or guarantee of the quality, quantity, measurement, and condition of the product/services and about its ‘end use’ or fitness for a particular purpose.
- The highest/lowest bidder does not get any right to demand acceptance of his bid/offer. Seller/buyer reserves the right to accept/reject/cancel any bid/offer, withdraw any portion of the scrap/residue/assets at any stage from Auction even after acceptance of bid/offer, issue of delivery order/purchase order without assigning any reason thereof. In the event of such rejection, cancellation or withdrawal, seller/buyer/ MakeMyTrip shall not be responsible for any damages/loss to the successful bidder on account of such rejection, cancellation or withdrawal.
- Every episode of the show will have Auctions for multiple travel products, the number and nature of which shall be the sole discretion of MakeMyTrip.
- For each Auction, top bidder(s) will be selected and the name(s) would be displayed on the screen once the Auction is concluded.
- The details for fulfilment/redemption of the products/services won through the Auction will be shared with the top bidder(s) within 24-48 hours.
For Quiz (My Travel Quiz)
- Participation in the Quiz is voluntary and will be deemed void where prohibited. Participant must be 18 years of age and must have a valid ID proof (with address).
- Participation in the Quiz is subject to ‘General T&Cs’ and these Terms and Conditions (‘Specific T&Cs’) (collectively ‘T&Cs’). In the event of any inconsistency between the Specific T&Cs and the General T&Cs, the Specific T&Cs shall prevail. Entry into this Quiz is deemed acceptance of these T&Cs and any amendments, additions, replacements, variations and modifications hereto, shall be final and binding in all respects on each participant. Amendments to the T&Cs will be posted on this webpage. By entering the Quiz, participants agree to be bound by and to comply with these T&Cs. Non-compliance with or breach of any of these T&Cs may disqualify a participant at any stage of the Quiz, and any prizes won may be forfeited, withheld, withdrawn or reclaimed.
- MakeMyTrip reserves the right, at any time in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute, withdraw, add to or alter any of the prizes offered without notice to the participants.
- Each episode will have question(s) and each correct answer(s) will be entitled to INR 100 My Cash as a prize, which will be credited in the Participant’s My Wallet on the MakeMyTrip platform within 24 hours. Users will have to respond to the question(s) within time as prescribed.
- The My Cash earned as a prize against the correct answers will be valid for consumption on the MakeMyTrip platform till the next episode, post which it will expire.
- Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and non-cash prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. MakeMyTrip accepts no responsibility for any tax or other liability that may arise from the prize winnings. MakeMyTrip has the right to substitute any prize with a comparable prize of equal or greater value to be awarded in lieu, subject to any applicable law.
For Lucky Draw (My Jackpot)
- This lucky draw (‘Lucky Draw’) is organized by MakeMyTrip (India) Private Limited (‘MakeMyTrip’).
- Participation in the Lucky Draw is subject to ‘General T&Cs’ and these Terms and Conditions (‘Specific T&Cs’) (collectively ‘T&Cs’). In the event of any inconsistency between the Specific T&Cs and the General T&Cs, the Specific T&Cs shall prevail. Entry into this Lucky Draw is deemed as acceptance of these T&Cs and any amendments, additions, replacements, variations and modifications hereto, shall be final and binding in all respects on each participant. Amendments to the T&Cs will be posted on this webpage. By entering the Lucky Draw, participants agree to be bound by and to comply with the T&Cs. Non-compliance with or breach of any of these T&Cs shall disqualify a participant at any stage of the Lucky Draw, and any prizes won may be forfeited, withheld, withdrawn or reclaimed.
- Participation in the Lucky Draw is voluntary and will be deemed void where prohibited. Participant must be 18 years of age and must have a valid ID proof (with address). (Residents of Tamil Nadu are prohibited from participating in the Lucky Draw)
- MakeMyTrip reserves the right, at any time in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute, withdraw, add or alter any of the prizes offered without notice to the participants.
- MakeMyTrip will endeavour to hold the Lucky Draw on and at the advertised date, time and venue electronically as advertised, but reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to amend the advertised date and time.
- The name of winner(s) will be disclosed after the episode.
- The details for fulfilment/redemption of the products/services won through the Lucky Draw will be shared with the winner(s) within 24-48 hours.
- Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and non-cash prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. MakeMyTrip accepts no responsibility for any tax or other liability that may arise from the prize winnings. Prizes are subject to availability and MakeMyTrip has the right to substitute any prize with a comparable prize of equal or greater value to be awarded in lieu, subject to any applicable law.
- Winners of the Lucky Draw shall be required to make the payment of applicable taxes including but not limited to any statuary payments as may be applicable towards availing the prize won.
