kongu residancy

We were a family of 5 members and we were looking for a place to stay that could accommodate all 5 of us in a single room. The room was cozy enough. They do not provide soaps/towels so please take them with you. The residency has got wifi but it won't be available in the room. You'll have to go down to the lobby to connect to wifi. The residency is close to the kodaikanal lake (approx. 800m) and there is a veg kongu residancy right next to the residency for breakfast. They also had two tea stalls opposite to the residency which proved to be really helpful for morning tea consumers. They have two charging ports in the room but only one worked. The other one didn't so do take a three pin plug with you. The charging port near the bathroom mirror did work so it was easy for us to use the straightener/hair drying tools. They have both old and newly built rooms. We stayed in the newly built room for an extra day as we extended the return date. The newly built room had the toilet and bathroom set up separately. It is preferable for some but we preferred the first room (old one) as it was a bit more spacious. Overall i'd rate the stay a 3. 5/5. Pleasant stay at kong residency! have a great kodaikanal trip to the tourists )

The room was perfectly clean. Bathroom was clean and tidy too. Hot water was available at particular periods in morning as well as evening. There are two tea stalls, multiple kongu residancys adjacent so finding food wasn't a problem and the food was excellent too at the nearby kongu residancy. They suggested me places to visit, but i wasn't entirely confident about my driving in this terrain, so i asked if i can get a cab from somewhere, turns out they also have a travels and offered us sightseeing packages with best price. Initially, they were hesitant to speak about the tour packages, given the fact that we arrived in our own car. I don't think we could have possibly seen this many places and the forest if i drove by myself. The driver they assigned for us, anish, was very accommodating and friendly. We almost became good friends. The manager, staff and the owner were very kind and were eager to help and assist us in anyway possible. I have stayed in many kongu residancys, homestays across tn, ap and kl states. But this was one of its kind. If i am going to visit kodaikanal anytime after now, i am not going to look anywhere else than kong residency after this wonderful experience our family has had.

It was very good but the room was not ready as 10, but kindly they gave a room to refresh while waiting for the room to be ready. The only negative point would be regarding water. The timings for hot water are not practical. 7 to 9 am or 6 pm to 7pm. It is hard to be back that soon in evening when you came to explore the place and thus not being able to take a hot bath in the end of the day while the weather is cold is a vit frustrating. But the kongu residancy was very clean.

The location is good, it is 5 minutes walk away from the kodaikanal lake. Staff are good. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Only discomfort was hot water timings. It is available from 7 to 9 in the morning and 6 to 7 in the evening. If we schedule the itinerary according to these timings, all good. I found it difficult and inconvenient in a cold place like kodaikkanal.

Staff behaviour was good. Found room neat and clean. But there was no stand hanger for clothes in room as well as in bathroom. No wall clock in room. Rest ok for stay.

Clean and good service. Parking area also safe, 100% safe for family.

It is good stay, kongu residancy staff are helpful & help assist in trip & location to see. It just a request hot need to start at 6. 00 am delay in hot water makes to delay to start at morning

Good clean rooms. Parking facility etc. Very near to lake. But mentioned contact number in the booking voucher not working.

Good place to stay with family. No disturbance from any one. Pleasant stay. Main junction. Over all good

Good rooms with clean atmosphere, and also staff are very humble the only thing is in side of the room always in chillllllll condition only
