Krishna almaty gardens are 5 kms away, bijapur is 1hr/70kms away, aihole is 1hr/40kms away, so this is centrally located. If u have own vehicle, best place to stay. Google map stops working a km away from the KSTDC Hotel Mayura Krishna Almatty at the base of the hill. So bit difficult to find if u reach very late in the night. But the road is straight and only one way till the KSTDC Hotel Mayura Krishna Almatty with police posts on the way, so the road to reach the KSTDC Hotel Mayura Krishna Almatty can be asked. Food is good for lunch n dinner. Staff serves well. Last order by 9. 30pm. Free break fast on order with limited options of idli, bada, upma, halwa, not a buffet spread. But food is tasty. No room service. This is a govt kstdc facility, so don't expect too much of facilities. Room is very large and fairly hygienic. But service can b improved. For example, i had to ask for towels, extra pillow as these were not provided by default. Tv remote was missing and could not b found or replacement provided fir my 2 nights of stay. Staffs are good n helpful. Like any mayur kstdc KSTDC Hotel Mayura Krishna Almatty it has a good small garden n landscape in its garden. It has cottages and rooms with balconies facing the day, u can book ask for such rooms. I recommend this KSTDC Hotel Mayura Krishna Almatty, good value for money n safe place to stay with family.

We were on our road trip from b'lore and planned to take our first break at solapur, however while browsing the net we came across kstdc's maurya krishna - we liked the view and decided to stay here instead of solapur even though it meant we had to drive 3. 5 hours extra the next day. We were not disappointed, the manager was courteous and suggested we take cottage no. 3 - wow it a the best view of the backwaters, the dam and the bridges on the river. The staff were very polite & helpful, the receptionist requires a special mention - he's knowledge of the surrounding areas and cities helped us plan our trip for the next day. The cottage though basic was spacious and clean including the rest room. We were informed the best time to visit is during the rainy season - all the dam gates will be open and the river would be full. Would definitely recommend this place.

I have never seen any KSTDC Hotel Mayura Krishna Almatty in my entire life who do not have room service, when asked very rudely says we do room service only till 9pm later you have to come and eat in the dining area. Irony is they dont do room service after 9pm and the last order they take is 9:30pm so they will push you to complete your dinner by 9:30pm or no food is available since this is a remote location. No respect to customers, sensed that govt. Attitude while communicating to staff. They just start with saying no for anything we request. Much more downside is not having bar.

We have booked ac delux room. We got rooms in distance floor of the building which is having best view of the river and a dam. But initially they offered me cottages by mistake which is not up to the mark. But immediately they changed the rooms realizing i have booked ac deluxe room. I think room rent is little more compared to their KSTDC Hotel Mayura Krishna Almattys in other destinations. No tea coffee sachets and kettle provided in the room.

The location has breathtaking views. From the room balcony, almatti dam and the backwaters can be seen. Our room had one small balcony and one big balcony, where an evening can be spent by looking at the nature. Rooms were spacious and clean. The cot can be bigger. Food was decent and the restaurant had limited offerings. We ordered for paneer and they provided gobi as that was available. There is no room service. Tea/coffee has to be improved.

It's recently renovated KSTDC Hotel Mayura Krishna Almatty and it's clean and spacious and very good view point from ac cottage 3 and 2 from balcony. Good for photoshoot near KSTDC Hotel Mayura Krishna Almatty and rock garden. Cons - location little inconvenient if you are usually public transport. Auto don't come to KSTDC Hotel Mayura Krishna Almatty as it is located on top of the hill and nothing surrounding it. Room service not available

Pros - 1. Fantastic location, especially the cottages overlooking almatti dam & mughal garden - cottage no. 3 is the best 2. Friendly helpful staff cons - 1. Maintenance & service can be better 2. Limited staff, especially in kitchen & dining - fortunately occupancy was very less when we visited & so not much problem 3. Though menu lists lot of options, actual availability of breakfast & meals is very limited

I was there with my family. The KSTDC Hotel Mayura Krishna Almatty is neat and clean. More specially the manager shri ramesh sir is very cooperative in nature. The almatti dam is visible from the cottages. The entire area is neatly maintained. I suggest it is best destination for short term trip with family and top of that the hospitality of kstdc KSTDC Hotel Mayura Krishna Almatty is excellent.

Good service, good environment, overall superb

A great place that is new and has clean big rooms. Highlight are the views os the horizon, river and dam. Can be midpoint to visit both bijapur and hampi. Far from bangalore ensures it's not crowded most of the time.

Our stay was so wonderful. Clean spacious rooms and lovely the 360 view of the dam. So scenic. The menu for good is limited but very tasty food. The service was 5 stars
