It was quite a relaxing stay for one night. We had taken two deluxe rooms in nehru nilaya. It is an old fashioned bungalow with a beautiful garden all around it. The sunrise and sunset points are within walkable distances from that place. There are also places of historical and religious significance including a large nandi idol near a cave structure, shri yoganandishwara swamy temple, the source point of polar river and many other things. The KSTDC Hotel Mayura Pine Top Nandi Hills has 3 restaurants out of which one with the windows facing the sunrise viewpoint is quite well maintained. We went by our own car and parked it nearby. The drive up the hill is quite picturesque and the road is also well maintained; there are around 35-40 turns including hair-pin bends. The wind is quite strong and hence appropriate clothing like wind-cheater and hoodies are helpful. Please also carry umbrellas in the rainy season.

Very peaceful and serene. The morning walks are really nice. Staff is super courteous and helpful. Monkeys are a menace. There is no room service, so you need to keep walking to the restaurant for anything and everything (or set a deal with the staff, i guess. No wifi. Very basic amenities. I booked seeing the room description as gandhi nilaya (new block. There was nothing new about the building or the room. For the setup, the room was overpriced. The old block and nehru nilaya looked much better and were recently renovated. This block does offer a fabulous valley view, but you can't step out before 6 pm as the monkeys will come attacking otherwise. Overall, i enjoyed the stay. Just that with all the inconvenience of monkeys and room service, the room seems overpriced.

I would say that the place should be must visit list for weekend. We stayed in sun rise view point accommodation which is just below the restaurent. The stay was good. Bed is big enough for 2 adult and a kid. Room equipped with ac and small refrigator which we didn't use. As the room is just beside the public sunrise view point, you may expect lots of noise and shouting during early hours of sun rise. Food served at lunch and dinner is good but the quality of breakfast is below average. Don't choose buffet breakfast as it cost more plus no buffet is served. You have to choose from the menu only. No pet bottle is allowed so do not carry when you check in. Overall pleasant stay with decent accommodation.

Loved the stay there, going to the see spot in the morning was not necessary. Each and everything was visible from the room itself, loved the way staff behaved, very calm and understanding, trying to help every-way possible. Definitely a bit costlier but the view was worth it. Two things i didn't like was the bathroom was leaking a bit and door was a bit jammed (mostly because of the weather). But room was spacious and clean.

We stayed for 1 night in gandhi nilaya. Although the room was average (there was no electric cattle, no additional amenities ) entire location especially balcony view did complete justice for premium pricing. Food was good, they had varieties option in reasonable price. Only cons we have experienced there were plenty of monkeys who disturbed guests and snatched hand bags, hence one need to be cautious.

Pros: great view; good size room; there is a living room next to bedroom. Cons: poor service; 4-5 min uphill walk to the cottage from the car park place; though dinner was delivered to the room, for breakfast one has to go to the restaurant which was quite crowded; since the walking path is next to cottage be prepared for people staring at you in the room since the window glass is not tainted
