KTDC Garden House

The KTDC Garden House is situated on a hilltop overlooking the malampuzha dam. The slopes are covered by a green envelope and give a serene feeling. The KTDC Garden House is a short walk away from the dam, the snake park, the gardens and the gondola ride. The room was large and the bed was a king size and comfortable. There is a restaurant with a limited menu but one needs to place orders in advance. Room service is available. The KTDC Garden House also hosts a beer parlour which can get noisy at times. The surroundings need to be kept clean and routine maintenance is required in the room - the sliding door to the bathroom was getting stuck. The commode seat was not anchored properly and kept moving around. The master power switch in the room kept tripping. Despite the small glitches, the stay was comfortable and value for money if one books through travel apps.

My family stay at ktdc malampuzha in november was a pleasant experience. The KTDC Garden House's ideal location provided a serene environment, far from the hustle and bustle of city traffic. The spacious and clean rooms offered a comfortable retreat for our family of four. The staff's politeness and friendly nature made us feel welcomed. We are especially grateful for the KTDC Garden House's flexibility as they kindly allowed us a 4 hour extension due to our delayed train departure. The menu and taste of the food could have been better though. Adding more variety and ensuring easy availability of food items would have enhanced the overall charm of the KTDC Garden House's service. Despite the minor limitation, our overall experience at ktdc was positive and we would consider returning in the future.

Location - away from town but easily accessible from the highway, and walking distance from a major tourist attraction in palakkad. Very scenic location. Plenty of parking space. Rooms are basic but clean and mostly spacious. Excellent view of hills and the malampuzha dam from all windows. Kitchen has limited choice but most items are prepared well. Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall great value for money if you need a clean place with basic facilities and scenic, quiet surroundings.

With the help of the google map, we can find out the exact location. We felt a drive through a forest. At last we reached a hill top with a beautiful dam views in one side and hills with fod is in another side. Rooms and bathrooms are more spacious and hygienic with all facilities. Good air condition system in room and full time hot water facility also available. Good and friently way of room service. Tasty and hygienic food service in room and restaurant.

Positives are size of the room, price, proximity to dam and ample car parking space. In rainy season the KTDC Garden House itself would provide a good view of malampuzha. The building is a little old and so are the furnitures, facilites in the KTDC Garden House. The KTDC Garden House has a restaurant that has a set menu like veg meals for lunch and chapathi for dinner. The staff behavior was good enough and prompt.

Booked for my weekend stay and ktdc never disappointed with the location and facilities. Spacious rooms which are well maintained and friendly staffs. Good dining hall with basic menu thats ok as food was served are fine. Good parking space and enjoy dam view and hills around. You can go for it when planned to stay with friends / family / couples. Overall satisfied with the stay at ktdc.

This is a wonderful place to stay, with large, neat rooms and a beautiful view. Though they do not have s large contingent of staff, the location more than compensates for it. However, travellers are advised to tell the staff beforehand in case they require food, because food is paired strictly on the basis of prior information to avoid wastage.

Very good, large and clean room. The staff is excellent. They don’t do laundry, but helped to get our clothes laundered. The manager made sure we got what we needed for breakfast each day. The food choices may be limited and dinner needs to be pure ordered. Never stayed at a better state tourism development property elsewhere in india.

The KTDC Garden House is a good choice to stay in. The room was good. It was spacious and well-maintained. The washroom was clean and hygienic. It was Worth every penny spent.

Location is near to malampuza dam walking distance, but away from palakkad city. Very limited food options with restaurant, so need to depend on swigy / zomato. Very big room, clean, neat, provided all amenities like 3 star except hot water kettle. Staff cooperative

It was so calm and peaceful place view from the KTDC Garden House was so beautiful. They have a bar and provide good food.
