except that it is main Kumarakom area where the luxury brands are present, KTDC GATEWAY is set in the most scenic spot - bang on the Bund with the lake waters lashing its compound and the Thaneermugam barrage providing a backdrop. The lake side rooms were well appointed - clean, nice bathrooms and with good bed and linen. The staff courteous and ready to help. The food was nothing to complain about, breakfast was a good spread with the fruit platter missing.

Fantastic stay. Rooms are well maintained. The resort itself is a tourist place. Beautiful greenery and backwaters. The restaurant is small but tasty and hygienic food available. Overall a pleasant stay. Definitely recommended.
