Kurumba Village Resort is a perfect getaway for nature lovers. The property is located in a serene location surrounded by hills and forests. The staff is courteous and friendly, always ready to help. The food is delicious with a good variety of options. The infinity pool and waterfall are the highlights of the property. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained. The property offers various activities for both adults and children. The only downside is the approach road to the property, which can be a bit difficult to navigate.

Excellent location, nice view of the hills
Yashavantha Kumar
I stayed in this resort with family, It was an awesome experience. The resort is 36 Km from OOTY towards Mettupalayam, down the foot hill with water stream flowing around the resort property. The room was spacious with private balcony (In fact every room has it). Our room balcony had excellent view of small waterfall, it is just close and hearing the sound of flowing water. I did not like the in room coffee/tea maker, the table was very low-lying and difficult to prepare coffee/tea sitting on floor. In room some places I saw the cobweb specially on table/bed lamp and in bathroom lamps. The resort have to take care of cleaning the room properly. The bathroom was specious with view of the nature from glass window. I din't like the way they separated wash basin and bath tub with single large fixed glass (Ideally there should be sliding glass door). Due to this water splashes out of bathtub while bathing. The resort is surrounded by forest, so expect the insects entering the room when lights are on during night time if doors are kept open. It is an excellent place for nature lovers (bird watching), I watched Malabar Whistling Thrush, Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Malabar giant squirrel, Jungle Fowl, Scarlet Minvet, Malabar Hanging Parakeet, Oriental white Eye, Yellow Bulbul, Yellow Wagtail in close proximity). While sitting in balcony, monkeys will arrive, so avoid eating food in balcony. They did not harm us, but sitting next us while taking photos in balcony. The restaurant is very nice with excellent view of the mountain. We had nice tasty food all days in resort. Our room was far from restaurant (few other rooms also), but it was nice to walk hearing the birds calls. The resort is far from most tourist locations in Ooty (For someone just want to stay in resort and relax this is good jungle choice). Looking at the facility, location I feel cost is bit higher when I compare with other resorts I stayed. I enjoyed the morning walk in forest assisted by resort guide, unfortunately we could not find Indian Gaur but just saw the foot print. I was expecting cold weather like Ooty, but it was not. Overall it was nice experience.

First don't trust your Google maps of this place, it will show we are arrived say little distance before itself. Better call to Resort wherever you have a signal, they will guide you properly. We reached the Resort from Ooty, they guide nicely and starting it was very difficult to find the spot but its in middle of the hill and middle of the hairpin bends. Watchman will greet you and you need to drive some 750 meters down the hill besides the main road of the Ooty and Mettupalayam Road. Scary road to reach the Resort, because if you find any other vehicle, it will be difficult for both to cross that road. No board for display, its forest department order, so Resort people can't have boards of resorts too. Warm greeting in parking, leave your luggage, they will take care and it will be safely reaches your room. Traditional way of welcoming, wearing some garland not fresh I felt. You can go ahead to reception, submit your document and one representative will take us to room. Either by walking or battery operated car. Representative will explain about food timings, activities timings, pool stuff, property walk details etc. They will give you a complete schedule of your stay in a print out one. Location excellent, rooms excellent, cleanliness excellent, food good, its open area, so monkey might come inside, still one watchman will be around us, he will make sure no monkey will come inside, activities good, they need more people like Dinesh, who can explain about plantation, property and different activities, pool excellent, Jacuzzi suite excellent, Kurumba cottage average because of mattress and small library, otherwise it will be poor.
In lap of nature

Resort is located below conoor, 90-120 mins from coimbatore airport and 80-90 mins From Ooty. A 700 metre trail off the main Road leads to the resort which if you don't follow Google map can be easily missed resort is spread not on a plain or valley but on a hill slope so it is spread both horizontally and vertically with some floors at bottom of that slope and some and reception at top. It is devoid of a lift facility and only has one operational biggie, those who cannot do up down regularly should stay in suite 119, 120. Rooms- big with all modern facilities. clean suites are exceptionally large. Bathrooms- big, neat and clean with all accessories. Food - all 3 meals excellent, delicious with an expansive spread and good service. Activity area - at par with a luxury resort, with something for toddlers as well. Weather - for all those wanting to feel a chill of hill Station, those will be disappointed. Although pleasant but not same as the one we experienced in Ooty. Staff - well mannered, courteous, cooperative. Things which can be annoying for some : No bar license with the resort, bring your own. Lots of monkeys - although not troubling but not a pleasant site with kids but I guess this has to be accepted for a resort right in the middle of forest. Room service and biggie takes time. Infinity pool - not heated, but still manageable as temperature not that low here. Overall experience very good. Will definitely recommend to stay here for 1 or 2 days additionally if travelling to Ooty.
The rooftop dining experience was the highlight of our stay
Venkat Ramakrishnan
We had a very pleasant stay at Kurumba Village Resort. The staff are extremely courteous and ready to help. The food at the restaurant and the snacks at the tea shop were excellent. The highlight of our trip was the roof top dining. It was an amazing experience in itself - We wouldn't mind going back there just for that. The rooms are spacious, thoughtfully designed and very well maintainer. We were surprised to know that the resort was 16 years old - the rooms felt brand new. The resort is in a spice plantation on the side of a hill. In addition to well maintained path ways they also have a cart service to go up and down. They have a river flowing nearby where you can go for a bath. They also have a pool, a game room and other fun activities at the resort. There is no mobile network at the resort but they provide Wi-Fi. You can stay away from the bustle of city/traffic and enjoy a pleasant stay in the midst of nature.
Very good for a day or two

We traveled as a family of 3, having a kid of 3 years age and stayed at the super spacious 1000 sq feet family suite. It's worth the money you pay. Food quality and spread ranged from average to good, but the service people tried their best to ensure comfort. I would like to mention Syam, Dhanalekshmi and Charlie who were super awesome! The lawn at the Kurumba Village Resort (25 kms Away from Ooty) was big enough for our kid to run around with a beautiful backdrop. The climate at the resort is moderate and not chilly like one would find in Ooty/Conoor/Kotagiri, but was pleasant enough. Overall the experience was good enough and we would recommend this Kurumba Village Resort (25 kms Away from Ooty) for anyone who likes nature for a days stay.
Excellent forest Resort to spend holidays,
Imran Ahamed
Room was good enough with large size, attitude of Resturant personnel's was great never mention no to any request. Food quality was great with many options. Whatever request made it was prepared. Worth to go with full board meals. Reception was helpful. Nice swimming pool and game area. Natural waterfall within property was accessible. Evening snacks was good. Everything was great, recommended for couples and family. Room lights are dim to avoid attractions of flies so prepare kids to accept dim light. Lots of monkey within the property, just need to carrying food items hidden/covered. Room calling bell decibel to be reduced. Good luck.
Scenic Resort with best in class hospitality
Mallika Fernandes
The place is in the valley at the foothills of the Nilgiris with every room having amazing forest views. The hospitality was great with attention to detail. The ayurvedic spa staff were quite experienced and we'll trained. Food was delicious. We tried the tree top dining experience which was out of the world. Special mention of chef Murali who served some exotic dishes and took care of culinary variety over 4 days we spent here. There are entertainment activities every evening like Tambola, folk dance etc. The location of swimming pool is perfect facing the forest and mountains. Overall great experience.
Weekend with family

It was just before the start of school, we wanted to make a short trip. We were looking for a place which was quiet and had some thing for the kids to get engaged as well. The Kurumba village resort looked good about for that. We had a good time there with the kids engaged in magic show and other adventure activities. The stay was good and the staff made sure of that. The only downside was the food was good and not excellent as I would have liked it to be in comparison to the Resort itself. Otherwise it was a time well spent.
Astonishing

Amazing property and hospitality but needs better hygiene
Akshat Mor
We had an amazing stay at Kurumba Village Resort. The view of the mountains and waterfall fro our duplex suite was heavenly. The property and hospitality are on point but the cleanliness and hygiene maintained at the property is poor and needs to be worked on urgently.
