La Kupar Inn

Stayed with family and friends during the last week of March 19. Conveniently located near main highway, away from the city in a village (in fact the advisory mentions that this is a village area and you are requested to not to make noise and not to venture out after 11 pm). It's a serene place, the property is well maintained decorated with beautiful flowering plants and decorative lighting. It's not a very big place either. Just a couple of rooms and is a family owned property. There is a small garden outside where there is a swing and where they put up a bonfire for all guests every evening. The reception hall doubles up as a dining hall as well. Rooms have balconies from where the views are good. The room size is ok. Food is just ok, neither great nor bad. Overall a nice and comfortable stay. However, it did seem a bit overpriced. The price was akin to a professionally run bigger La Kupar Inn with better amenities.

We will remember La Kupar Inn Cherrapunjee for its amazing hospitality, nice clean homely atmosphere inside the La Kupar Inn. Sharing an anecdote here - We checked in to La Kupar Inn after doing double decker root bridge trek which is a good test of physical fitness. When John (manager of La Kupar) came to know about this, he immediately arranged for hot water compress for our tired legs.. We are delighted to get this kind of homely care, this gave us a lot of comfort that night. John is a gem of a person. He also helped us with next day site seeing itenary for Cherrapunjee which was very valuable. Food in La Kupar is very homely, we tried a local dish - doisher chicken which tasted lovely. John runs the show with two other staff - kudos to all 3 of them for the great job they are doing. Please keep it up. I will definitely recommend La Kupar Cherrapunjee to others and will stay there if we again visit cherrapunjee.

This La Kupar Inns locates in the city of Cherrapunjee. Easy access to sights if you have a car 20 min to longest fall in asia. And 30 min to start point for double decker root bridge pass. Mr John who was at reception was very helpful. He was able to suggest us where to go and what time we should leave. And thanks. To him our stay was very comfortable. It has all the basic necessity, of course you can never compare with 5 star La Kupar Inn. Overall if you are looking for a decent room for you to relax then this is nice place. One thing can be improved is bed. It was very hard like wood.

La Kupar is aptly situated to most of the tourist spots in and Around Cherrapunji. The place is cozy with basic amenities that befit a nicely maintained home stay. Rooms are neat spacious, bathrooms are clean and the food is simple yet deliciously cooked home style. The owner Mr Bansan and manager Mr john are wonderful hosts who take good care of you along with their spirited staff. La Kupar is a must visit with your family and friends at Cherrapunji. You won't regret your choice at all

Location of the La Kupar Inn is very good, almost in the heart of town. Food is nice. The way La Kupar Inn served the food is amazing, every food item was served in hot pot. But order food in before time only. Hotel staff seemed very polite and courteous. Very much greenery Around the place. While entering the La Kupar Inn it was raining too heavily and some scenes of movies flashed to me, a small old La Kupar Inn, heavy rain, very few persons etc. Overall a very nice experience it was.

The property is centrally located in Sohra, was easy to find. The place is not modern or stylish, but they more than make up for the lack of style with their service. The service was so good. All the staff members were very pleasant and helpful, special shout out to the staff at the reception. They made our stay memorable. Also, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the food was homely and tasty.
Loved their big spacious rooms. Ours had a balcony as well.

Located just outside the sohra village, the La Kupar Inn is relatively small and cozy, but really nice. The rooms are very well lit and spacious. We had opted for an extra bed, which was immediately arranged by the staff. The staff is really helpful and sweet. We had our dinner and breakfast at the La Kupar Inn (you don't have an option anyway, sohra village doesn't have many restaurants) and the food was amazing, with standard pricing. The stay was worth it.

We stayed at La Kapur inn for four nights. The room was big and very clean. The service is really very good and the staff is very nice. They immediately attended to our needs. The food served by them is also very good. They had campfire most evenings and it was nice to meet different people staying the La Kupar Inn . The owner also helped us plan our sight seeing day trips and gave our driver directions to reach the destination.

It was a pleasure to stay at La Kupar Inn. All the staffs were very helpful and were prompt at their service. I will definitely recommend to my friends and all other travellers who have a plan to explore Cherrapunji, please do stay at this La Kupar Inn.

Beautifully located surrounding hills. Rooms are fantastic .. Service excellent ... Strongly recommended to visit ... Only thing they require to give TV in all the rooms. Manager Jon is very good as well as the owner of the La Kupar Inn.

Stayed for 2 nights. It was a clean La Kupar Inn with service oriented staff with a positive attitude. Felt very much at home with the service. Food was specially cooked and was served warm.
Very clean and professionally managed. The staff Ria and John were very friendly and managed all requests with extreme care.

We had a very good experience during our visit to sohra. Sohra has very few accommodation options and la kupur provides a great experience. Don't expect anything luxurious. The local food was very delicious. Ample parking space. Close to the town and places of interest. John helped with planning our itinerary and informed us about very unique and interesting places which are not listed in platforms.

Friendly staff, great views and peaceful location. Rooms are large and come with a balcony to relax in. Located in a small village but just off the main road. Dining room is spacious and has great views of the outside. Food is one of the main recommendation of the place. One must try excellent local Khasi dishes.

Loved the hospitality of John and team. Very prompt right from knowing likely time of arrival, prompt service without reminders, soothing food, ample car parking space, and great help with local sight seeing plan. Rooms were spacious and good views. The bonfire arranged without unnecessary song and dance was a welcome social setup in the evening. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Cherrapunjee

We were 3 families who stayed in this La Kupar Inn for 2 nights. It is a small La Kupar Inn but very well maintained. Mr. John was a wonderful and cheerful host and he was very helpful. Breakfast was very limited but good. We had vegetarian dinner in the La Kupar Inn and it was good. They had lots of board games and the kids enjoyed playing them. Overall very good stay.

A very nice property which is very well maintained. The garden is nicely laid out where kids can run around and have fun. They have a campfire in the evening where one can sit Around and enjoy oneself. There is also a swing which is great for the kids. It's a very basic room with a slightly small bed though, which can never really hold a family of 3.

If you are vegetarian then you feel some trouble because there is less food options for vegetarians and feel smell of pork meat every where but except this that place is awesome, full of adventures specially this La Kupar Inn staff help you in every ways ...

Yes, the receptionist were very genuine and honest, we had very nice experience there also we extended our stay. Hospitality is great here.

Staff was very cooperative especially the manager, would love to visit again in Cherrapunji. Food was also very good. Location was awesome along with the weather conditions service was up to the mark.
