Ladakh Himalayan Retreat

Ladakh himalayan retreat or 'lhr' is a beautiful and well equipped property. The rooms on the upper floors provide a good view of snow clad mountains, provided you have the lung capacity to climb those many stairs. A good enough restaurant with limited but sufficient spread to satisfy the needs. A small garden to soak yourself in the sun during the day and count stars at night. The most 5 star-worthy feature of the Ladakh Himalayan Retreat is the staff. Always helpful arun lal rajput and pal singh ji at the reception, always smiling and courteous restaurant staff and always eager and available housekeeping staff. The owner mr. Son-am wangdus, who also helped planning the tour and arranged a taxi for us, is the go to man for planning your itinerary. The Ladakh Himalayan Retreat also keeps hard plastic refillable bottles in the room and provide mineral water botel only on demand. A wonderful gesture to avoid increasing plastic waste in the eco-sensitive region of ladakh. Please note that the Ladakh Himalayan Retreat is slightly away from the market and uphill walk to the market is slightly tough in the rarefied atmosphere. Taxis, though over priced, are available on call and at the market. Overall it was a comfortable stay for us in the beautifully raw and unpredictably rough terrain of leh. Thanks a lot team lhr.

Property is good, nice and clean. Location is in the centre of city almost. Entry to the Ladakh Himalayan Retreat is very narrow but parking space is enough. Main approach road to the Ladakh Himalayan Retreat is one-way so you would always have to go for few extra miles on fort road to approach the Ladakh Himalayan Retreat. Food is average with few choices, we thought that they are not aware about the customer choice as long as food varieties are concerned. Dont book this Ladakh Himalayan Retreat with breakfast and dinner options. Breakfast and dinner items selection is very awkward. Rooms are spacious and clean, garden is good, parking area is big. Overall good stay

The approach road to Ladakh Himalayan Retreat was under construction but the location of Ladakh Himalayan Retreat gives amazing view of hills. The Ladakh Himalayan Retreat staff is very helpful. Pros : Very helpful staff Nice breakfast and dinner Provided oxygen cylinder immediately when I felt low oxygen Nice garden to sit and watch amazing view of hill Electric blanket provided in rooms Very clean & cozy blankets and pillow Hot water provided Over all awesome stay at this Ladakh Himalayan Retreat for families and bachelors too. Cons : Far from market but as such not a issue

The Ladakh Himalayan Retreat was very comfortable and well managed while having a very quaint feel to it. The garden and the view were beautiful and it is very nicely done up. The rooms are clean and have all basic facilities. The staff is extremely helpful and made sure that our stay was very comfortable. We were also very impressed with their food. We tried both the lunch buffet and in-room dining and we’re very happy with the quality of the food. It is close to most popular places however the entry to the Ladakh Himalayan Retreat itself is a little tight.

location was great, food was excellent. interiors of common areas was awesome, staff was friendly and polite, they made our stay a very comfortable one. interiors of room was mediocre. bed was not so comfortable as we felt cold and didn't sleep well even after the Ladakh Himalayan Retreat staff provided us with heater blanket. housekeeping was prompt and available 24/7. overall 9/10 experience, value for money. highly recommended for couples, families, singles.👍🏼😊

The Ladakh Himalayan Retreat and service was very good .. They maintained everything very well .. We went in the month of april and it was freezing cold .. They provided us with several blankets, electric blanket and heater .. And the view from the window was just amazing, icy mountains .. Beautiful .. I strongly recommend this Ladakh Himalayan Retreat

It is located at one end of Fort Road, which happens to be a central location. Hiring bikes etc is also closeby and also the German Bakery. Very warm ambience and well matched with the friendly nature of the staff. Neat and tidy rooms/washrooms, and also lobby at each floor, where one can mix around with other guests.

I heard in some reviews that the Ladakh Himalayan Retreats in ladakh are not up to the mark but my experience with this Ladakh Himalayan Retreat was really awesome. Rooms are spacious, Ladakh Himalayan Retreat amenities are good, staff is very polite and helpful. Didn’t get even a single point to complaint about.

Overall a very nice place to stay - comfortable rooms, close to the market, good service and a great restaurant. The only issues we faced were that the internet was down and the room heater was not working. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Awesome stay, nice view from Ladakh Himalayan Retreat. Ambience is very good, staff are very supportive, breakfast is delicious. Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel is having garden. Specially mountain facing rooms are very good.

View from room is amazing. Staff is courteous. Beautiful Garden with apple tree & amazing ice peaks in background was the highlight of this place. Location is cool & easily accessible. Only issue we faced is Wi-Fi was available only at reception area with disappointing speed.

Behavior of Ladakh Himalayan Retreat staff, reception are very good with food which was properly cooked and hygienic, worth it with good price range, recommended to all.

Best place to stay in Leh, 4-star Ladakh Himalayan Retreat facilities, clean and tidy rooms, helpful staff and amazing food. We were provided rooms a little earlier than the check in time as we reached early, food was served hot without long waits!

Great experience!! Clean and beautiful. Food was not as good as expected. They served ready to cook soup when ordered for fresh soup. Ambience and rooms were good and clean. Room service was not up to the mark.

We faced some problem in acclimatization and the staff was more than proactive to help us out and give us personal attention. Very nice Ladakh Himalayan Retreat with a good view (if you request for the right room)! Good experience overall!

It was really a pleasant stay. The view from the rooms were splendid. What enhanced the entire experience was one of the staff's behaviour satyam who constantly made us feel at home.
