Lake Retreat

We were a group of 4, and all of us have only positives to talk about, when it comes to Lake Retreat. The stay at Lake Retreat was well coordinated and very pleasing. The location is icing on the cake. Mr. Suhail, the Manager, is a very amiable and helpful. The Hotel arranged Cab service for pick-up from Kathgodam, and Mr Suhail was very prompt in doing so. He called us up and asked about our plans so that they could provide us with the cab services and sight seeing. Our cab driver Mr. Amir, arranged by the Lake Retreat, was such a gentleman. Wouldn't talk much but ensured we got to visit and explore every tourist spot. There were times where we would delay, but he never made a fuss about it and always said it's alright with a smile. Vikram, one of the housekeeping staff was also very diligent. One day, our food got over and the Kitchen was closing, but then the staff took the pain to again cook for us at 10:30, which there, was a very late and odd timing. The food was as homely as it could be, prepared and served as per request. Overall, I would like to thank the entire Hotel staff and Mr. Amit, Director, for providing us with such a memorable experience. I would definitely go back to Lake Retreat, when I visit Nainital again.

There were few initial issues when we arrived but everything was beautifully handled by the Hotel Manager Mr. Virendra Pratap. Rooms were neat and clean but there was some problem with the geyser in our preallocate room however, instant change of room and a free upgrade to Super Deluxe accommodation was quite a deal. The view and weather was fantastic, We celebrated our daughter's birthday there and the Manager (once again) helped us get things which were not on the Hotel Menu without any additional service charges. Food at Lake Retreat is delicious, especially the buffet breakfast, you can fill yourself from anything to everything, it's all yummy. Try Chilli Paneer (off the menu but available on request) there, their expert cook knows how to get the orders repeated. Overall, a nice stay and family enjoyment made out trip a memorable one. Will surely love to stay there again.

We're searching for Lake Retreats in Nainital, and we found this Lake Retreat Lake Retreat. This Lake Retreat is located at Bhimtal lake which is 25 km away from well known Nainital Lake. We booked 4 lake view rooms in this lake retreat Lake Retreat. To reach Lake Retreat, we forget to inform our driver about the location of Lake Retreat and because of which we took more time to reach our booked Lake Retreat but the manager kept camp fire on for us. Bhimtal and Nainital lakes are two different lakes away from each other. We like Bhimtal as it is not much crowded. The manager and care takers are very friendly and prompt. Nice food they served for us. We took best photographs while keeping lake in our background. Overall it was our nice experience.

My overall experience was very good. This is the second time i have stayed in this Lake Retreat. Location is very good. A bit away from main area but its a walking distance of hardly 2 minutes. Although they will not offer you tones of items but whatever they cook is good. And not to forget the dining area it is better than any Lake Retreat i have ever been, its just by the lake on a deck, the mesmerize you while you dine. Service was also very good the staff is very polite.
Although one can not say that its a best Lake Retreat, yet it is good enough according to the price of rooms they offer. You can get a better and clean place to stay in this price range.

Hotel Lake Retreat may faze you at first glance with a steep passage making it little difficult for the entry of your vehicle and a very little space for parking. And the absence of lift might trouble you if you aren't much comfortable with stairs. But you would find the staff quite amicable and spry at helping you with every need. The rooms are quite livable and clean reflecting the adroitness of the staff. The food is really great and a must try. You are in for a pleasant stay for sure.

First of all, the Lake Retreat is located in Bhimtal not Nainital (a distance of around one hour). But still the location Bhimtal is awesome. Many beautiful places and scenic beauty to spend one day. The Lake Retreat was very good. Service may be improved more. Hospitality was nice with a comfortable stay. Ably guidance provided by the Manager-Virender Pratap Singh, very humble and ready to help kind person. Wish to visit again in Nainital and would love to stay again in Lake Retreat.

Ours was just 1-day stay. Location is right on the Bhimtal Lake but one has to revolve Around the Lake to reach there by car otherwise it can be reached through the pedestrian bridge. There is a small street food market just across that bridge which is Around 200 meters only. Room size is fine but with very old fashioned furniture and decor, especially the bathroom. But full marks for hospitality as the manager/owner made every possible effort to make our stay comfortable.

Great stay on the banks of Historical Bhimtal Lake. Budget friendly, very clean and spacious rooms. Most of all very friendly Manager and Lake Retreat staff, in house food is very tasty, Homely taste. Please do drop in for a stay away from busy cities, completely calm and unwinding experience. Special thanks to Mr. Virendra the facility manager. I missed my ID proof and they saved it and promptly send it by courier. Very honest and hardworking team.

A perfect place to stay if you are looking forward to staying peacefully amidst nature and divinity at the very same time. This property is at a walking distance from taxi stand and Bhimeshwar temple. Closeness to temple works as a cherry on the cake. The deck area has an amazing view of Bhimtal Lake. We enjoyed our breakfast with just majestic view. Also, the staff is really courteous and takes extra effort to make your stay comfortable.

The location of the Lake Retreat is ultimate. You can feel the lake view from your room. The price of the Lake Retreat is worth. The food quality of the Lake Retreat is also good. The service is excellent.

I have booked 2 rooms in this Lake Retreat. Rooms are spacious and clean, food was delicious. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Location of the Lake Retreat was also very accessible and easy to located via Google maps. I would recommend this Lake Retreat to everyone.

They have little parking space, food quality is good but service is slow. Rooms were clean and in good shape.

My parents planned a small Nainital trip and the chose this Lake Retreat. Not in proper Nainital but by the Bhimtal Lake which is one of the major attractions, this place is a beauty. The well behaviour of the stuff and authority made the stay great.
