Nexstay Lakkidi Village Resort

This place is situated in good location near to Pookode lake & Lakkidi view point. The setting and surrounding of the resort is amazing, with a small stream flowing through it. Since I have couple of kids (8 yrs & 2yrs), their needs are taken care by courteous staff (milk during the night, even at odd times), indoor games, surprised to find tricycles which'll keep younger ones engaged and swimming pool. It's a calm & peaceful place, ideal for family & relaxation. If you are travelling from Bangalore, first cover decal caves on Day 1, if any energy left go for Pookode lake & view point & relax in resort. On Day 2 cover Banasura Sagar dam (40 mins from resort), Meenmutty falls, Karlad lake (boating & adventure sports). If time permits go for other places. For us, these were ample places to spend good time & relax. The staff helped me in finalising & optimising my travel time to cover places so that kids won't get structured. Food is also great in this resort. Overall a great experience.

Location - Location is very scenic. Surrounded by mountains and lot of greenery. There is a waterfall and a small water stream inside. Lakkidi view point and lake is very near from the resort. Lot of variety of plants, birds, insects there. Also lot of monkeys. There are 2 pools. Play area and indoor play area where they have table tennis, air hockey, carom, chess etc etc Only back is the approach road is not good from the main road. Rooms - we opted for a villa and it was good. Well maintained and spacious. SERVICE - Service was good. Staff was very helpful and polite. Housekeeping was also good. Spa services are also good Food. - As we went in off season not much food options were available. Complementary breakfast was also limited to very few items which were not that great. Lunch dinner was Ok, not to the level that we should expect from such a nice resort. Overall I would recommend this resort who wants to spend some quality time with nature.

The location is great, close to a couple of sightseeing places like Lakkidi viewpoint and Pookode lake. The view from the rooms is very pleasing (ask for hill view rooms). The staff are extremely courteous and helpful, special mention to Mr. Rohit. They are knowledgeable about the sight seeing places around and can guide very well too. THey can also arrange a cab/auto for sight seeing. The restaurant service is slow, but the staff make sure they take your order in advance (they keep following up, which gets to you sometimes). The resort also has a play area for indoor games, and an Ayurvedic spa, and facilities for a bon-fire. There are no facilities for trekking or other such activities in the resort (some resorts in the area offer that, too). The approach road is bad, the resort is about 500m off the main road so you need to ask around for directions. Overall, a very pleasant and refreshing stay.

The location is awesome albeit the approach is a mud road. Even that is a bit of a discomfort in a couple of patches, hopefully that gets fixed. The other thing that needs improvement is the food. It was average in my opinion with lack of choices and taste needs a bit of improvement. Power problem is another thing but I guess the resort is doing everything they can by having a generator. The property has a lot of jack fruit trees but we never got any dish that uses jackfruit. Even providing it as raw fruit in a fruit salad can be a winner. Room was really clean. Had a balcony that gave an excellent view of the greenery. You would love to just sit there sipping a cup of coffee early mornings. There is a children's play area and a hall with TT and carrom which can be a good entertainment. Overall it was a pleasant trip that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Since we travelled almost all the resorts in Wayanad district so we thought to try this new resort. It is near to Pookode lake and view point. From the road to resort is not a tar road but even small car slowly can go. Reception is OK. Dinner was good specially they given us fruit salad of Kerala style. About cottage. They got two room in one cottage with a common drawing room with sofa set. SO good for a big family staying in the same cottage. Swimming pool is small and indoor play room is also in the property. If you not visited Wayanad so you can start with staying here. Mist is only by chance you will get then I think it will be more beautiful. I can not comment on location of resort since I travelled more beautiful properties, but this is also worth to try for first time visitor in Wayanad.

We had a nice & relaxed stay at Lakkidi. We had booked double room villa. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the resort is also very good. The food was delicious and was always served on time to the room itself. Not too many options were available for breakfast but whatever was available was good. The walls were damp due to frequent rains and had fungus all through them. And due to the same reason it was smelling bad too. The swimming pool was very small and fit for children only. Also, it was not well-maintained. Other games like badminton, chess, carom, TT are available. But the sports materials weren't of good quality. The best part of the stay was the location. The bad part of the stay was that there wasn't much option for recreation activities for adults.

One of the best resorts I have visited, surrounded by hills. You will fall in love with the The greenery, the stream flowing right through the center of the property and the weather especially in rainy season. Though the resort is good 500 mts away the road is decent and a hatch back should not have any issues reaching there. The buffet/food was excellent and staff super friendly. Food was priced just right. Planning to go there during next extended weekend as I couldn't cover all locations in Wayanad. Would recommend to everyone. Also try the Kerala longest zipline ride, about 10 km from resort enroute to banasura dam is (Harrison Malayalam tea estate). That was a highlight of my visit.

Had an excellent stay! Good trip with my family. Room is clean and good service from the faculties. It's good for both relax stay and adventure stay !! Entrance road is mud path but was OK for us. Food was good and yummy! Definitely looking forward for another stay. No airtel service. Vodafone works. Pool is small but decent for a family of 4 at a time. Good ayurvedic spa available too.

Location is good, very near to Pookoode lake and Lakkidi view point. Cottages are very good, very spacious. Nice greenary around, small stream of water is there. Food is OK. Staff are good. Overall nice experience.

Great place for family groups. As they have double bedroom villas, you actually get village like feel. We reached very late at night around 10. 30. Still we had staff waiting for us to serve us food. Food choices very few, especially breakfast. Need lot of improvement taste wise too. Loved the place. Would definitely visit again.

Good location, away from the highway. Well maintained property. Food quality should be improved. Rooms and cottages are kept clean. Pool is nice but needs a little bit of attention. Dining area ambience can be improved with Kerala style architecture

Food was good, service was also good, and the staff were friendly. And the climate was waesome. Buffet was wide spread. And we relaxed very well. And. Our. Kids played. Very well in. The garden. And the front reception were friendly

TV was not working. Poorly maintained room. Very bad food for a very hefty price. No activity not even during Christmas.

Good location and nice view. Best for couple travellers. The food served was not up to the mark. Was not tasty and we expected more for the amount. They must have kept toothbrush and toothpaste. Good climate

Excellent place for family outings. Need improvement in restaurant. Menu is very limited. No seafood available in buffet. And more over lack of indoor games facilities. Best time to visit in rainy seasons.

Location of the Nexstay Lakkidi Village Resort was awesome. Overall very good experience. Want to go ahead with same property again. An excellent nature resort. All villas are surrounded by beautiful greenery.

Good rooms. We stayed in two bed room royal villa. Food buffet was very good. Service was very good. Location is in lakkidi. You need to take 800 m from main road through mud road but manageable for a sedan.

The stay was very good I checked in early morning and the staff was so helpful and polite. The ambience was also very clean The facilities provided in the room was excellent. Great breakfast. Thank you

Overall, it was a nice and pleasant stay. Really we have enjoyed. It is a beautiful location very good ambience. It's very neat and clean. Hotel staff were very cooperative, food was excellent, worth paying for SPA. The only thing which needs improvement is the road which connects to resort and Nexstay Lakkidi Village Resort entry signage board at main road is not visible.
