Maneuvering into the property is a vehicular adventure, with a snug approach road and a parking puzzle that demands a master's touch. The property, a vintage ensemble of 24 units, showcases ground floor units with a touch of spaciousness, perfect for group gatherings or for a conversations over a drink. The rooms, especially those on the ground floor, boast decent size, complete with two sofas, a small changing space, a cupboard, and regal queen/king-size beds. The entire place is powered by solar energy, and the rooms are cool with AC, but watch out for those miniature geysers – hot water lasts just long enough for a quick shower. Expect dental kits, towels, and a water bottle in your room. The staff, a friendly bunch with a dash of helpfulness, even includes specially-abled members, championing inclusivity. Despite its age, Lamel Cove's pricing is reasonable in non-peak times, but brace yourself for dynamic pricing during festivals or weekends. Yet, being a holiday haven, complaining is like sand slipping through your fingers. The beach access, from 6 AM to 6 PM, isn't exactly private; it's more of a communal affair with drainage outlets conspiring against the perfect beach stroll. However, sunrise and sunset views are spectacular, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a sea-facing sanctuary. Now, let's talk about the food – a delightful spectrum of cuisines served in the in-house restaurant, open from 10 AM to 10 PM. Sure, the sea breeze might slow down your order's arrival, but it's a small price to pay for an oceanfront feast. Mild in taste, the food earns a solid 3.5/5, sparing you the fiery aftermath. Unfortunately, the seafood variety is a bit shy. Feel free to bring your own drinks; Lamel Cove is chill about it. And yes, outside food is welcomed, but if you're hoping to reheat, you're out of luck. Safety is a strong suit – the property is secure, couple-friendly, and boasts dedicated parking slots. Transportation-wise, tie-ups with bike rentals are handy, but snagging one during peak times is a quest. Ola and Uber are around, but patience is a virtue, and autos can swoop in for a fee. In conclusion, Lamel Cove's top three pros: a decent sea-facing property at budget-friendly rates, tasty food options, and a staff as warm as the coastal breeze. On the flip side: narrow approach roads, lackluster exteriors, and a void in late-night sea gazing options. So, whether you're a beach enthusiast or just seeking a relaxing escape, Lamel Cove dances to its own old-world charm – flaws and all.

We booked this Lamel Cove Beach Resort based on availability, price and photos to be honest; thankfully it was a good decision. It came with minor cons and major pros ) cons: 1. Approx. 7-8 km from main city so if you don't have a vehicle, rs. 250-300 is gone from one side every time. 2. At least 'garden view' rooms don't have proper cloth hangers in washrooms, one available is at good height which is difficult for a short person. Pros: 1. Auroville beach is just behind it. In the morning they open side gate towards the beach and one can enjoy the sunrise with no difficulty. 2. Serenity beach is at walking distance ~1. 5-2 km. 3. Their dining area is rooftop again with full view of the sea (i have seen it open at night time only. 4. Clean and hygienic rooms + whole place. 5. Very helpful and courteous staff. 6. Decent no of food options to be ordered inside. 7. Auroville matri mandir is ~6. 5 km from here. I would definitely recommend this from stay perspective. Try to arrange a 2 or 4 wheeler if the travel frequency is more, and you are good! * additional: google shows a branch of cafe xtasi (which is quite popular here) 300m from it, but this cafe was closed few weeks back. *

It is my best stay in pondichery. Resort located just in-front of sea. 6 sea view room ( 3 fislrst floor + 3 ground floor ) we stayed in first floor room no 505 for 2 nights and few side sea view room available, we stayed 204 for 1 night. Unforgettable experience. My suggestion prefer 1st flour king size premiem room room 504 &505. You can hear the wave sound, very close to beach, else any room is fine. You will enjoy the beach bath as much as you can. Food is quality and tasty service is excelent. Cons : some leagage in bathroom splash gun needed to lock, unlock manualy and ac indoor unit also water leakage inside room floor in both my rooms, needed to fix. Overal experience - value for money, highly recommended to stay except saturday night. Saturday night rate almost doubled than previous day. My rating 9/10.

Hospitality was too good and staff were very friendly. Sea view from room was excellent. Ambience is good staff responsive room maintenance is clean food is tasty overall i give 5/5 rating the location is very nice, back side of the resort opens directly at beach so you can enjoy the walk during sun rise. It's alos near to auroville so you can enjoy the good at number of good cafes. The good thing is that, the location is unmatchable, if anyone is going to book a room, go for beach front ocean view one on the first floor, you will never forget the view, it's awesomely soothing. The location and staff behaviour i liked the most. Sea breeze, sea view and sun rise was very exceptional * walking in beach is good, beach looks to be mostly clean, some people were faeces in the morning * breakfast was ok,

I visited Pondicherry along with my spouse and it was a long weekend. We were looking for a beach resort for our stay and we came across Lamel Cove Beach Resort. On the plus side, the resort have an in house restaurant which offers wide range of food items. Chicken nuggets and Paneer khadai masala were just yum, guests must definitely try these two. Spicy food items from the restaurant have pepper in them contrary to what we have back in our home town Andhra, which is lots of chilli 😁. Room service guys were quite polite. Compared to other stays in Pondicherry, this resort has a parking lot which is a huge relief. As the Auroville beach is adjacent to the resort, we can expect an easy beach access. A little improvement is needed in the Power generator's performance.

I came across this property through youtube and found this is the cheapest resort you can get which is located very near to all the accessible market and right aside to the sea beach. The Lamel Cove Beach Resort staffs are very kind and friendly. They help to arrange rented bikes too. I am a 100% vegetarian, so i was wondering how's the food. But rest assured they sometime customized the food for my family. Price is very reasonable. So i didn't go outside for food, in the room itself i get the quality foods. Variety is less but for 2 days visit it is sufficient to have 1 breakfast and 2 time lunch and dinner. I had a very good experience and recommend to go for it.

We had an excellent 3 days stay at the lame l cove, location wise it's good as it's pretty much close to the auroville side and the french colony etc is a 20 mins drive later. You can easily rent bikes from outside the property, however we had taken our car and we had space for parking within the property. The resort is located opposite the beach so the view is impeccable and you can access the beach easily. The rooms were very clean and decent and the amenities provided were suffice. They do have a beautiful rooftop dining space with sea view access and the food we ordered was tasty. Overall a great stay and the staff was polite.

this resort is just behind the auroville beach. super comfortable stay we had for 3 days. the locality, rooms, service, facilities and food was super amazing. their roof top restaurant is super cool where you can enjoy your food with a view of the sea. the staff is wonderful here. the accessibility to all places, serenity beach, mangrove forest, french colony is easy from here, not too far. i am coming here for sure for my next pondi trip and would recommend this to everyone. in short, this is one of the best resorts i've been to till now. thank you lamel cove for the best experience ❤️

It was a good experience and comfortable stay. The staffs are friendly and highly attentive. The location is so close to the beach just 2mins walk to the beach. Best suited for family and kids will really enjoy the stay. They also have the better options for food.

It was clean, excellent room services and spacious room. Access to beach inside resort itself. Very safe place and enjoyed with my family and kids.

I stayed here with my family on weekdays and it was a good experience. Rooms were cleaned. We didn't expect that food will be that good. Place is next to beach ao you will get to see sunrise also garden view is same as in pictures. Sometimes you will have to struggle for parking as they have very conjusted space.

We stayed at the Lamel Cove Beach Resort for 2 days, it's a very good budget friendly beach resort which truly justifies its name. It has a private beach access operational from morning till 6pm which is otherwise mostly clean. The Lamel Cove Beach Resort staff are polite and punctual. The food is really delicious and sumptuous be it chinese or north indian or south indian cuisine.

Resort was good, amazing support staff. The view for few rooms are direct sea view and for few rooms it's a garden view. But overall good budget friendly place to stay. Aurovile is very near from the place.

Had a wonderful stay at this resort. Mine was sea side deluxe room and my room number was 405 which had a private balcony facing the sea and it was wonderful. I want to caution people that some rooms have the sea view from common passage. So try to be in a room which has sea view from private balcony. Food was not that great. I am from telangana and maybe i didn't like it. I would rate it 6/10 for travelling, there is bike rental right beside the resort.

Hotel location is excellent. Staff are hospitable, polite. Rooms are very clean and all ac, geyser etc working fine. Food in restaurant is quite hygienic and affordable. Overall very good experience.

The place is awesome. Booked an ocean view room. It's really good. Everyone must try. Room service is also very good.
