Lchang Nang Retreat- The House of Trees

Lchang nang, literally tree house is an eco-friendly resort nestled in the teggar village of nubra village. It is surrounded on 3 sides by himalayan, karakoram and saltoro mountain ranges. Entire resort runs on solar hence no heavy appliance like tv etc is available but who needs it either being in proximity of such exuisite natural beauty. It has nubra river near it and is situated along the ancient silk route and an ancient wall, resuscitated again, having stone plates inscribed with prayers and placed by ancient traders as good omen. The property is green, each cottage is given a private enclosed place in back yard with fireplace etc. Staff is very courteous and cooperative. There is no room service but you don't need it also as most of the time is spent in site seeing. Food is very tasty with amazing variety of baked items. One wonders how they manage it in such a far flung place. The manager mrs astha was cordial and looked after guests well. I gave some suggestions like providing additional curtains to cover windows completely, specially during nights and bathing stool in bathrooms etc. They also arranged a meditation on buddh purnima, a personal touch to stay. Overall a cosy, beautiful, comfortable and enjoyable stay

E absolutely loved our stay at lchang nang; the location of the property is great and the service is top class. It is the best place to stay in nubra (we tried a few others too. The room was great, had an amazing outside view and had a spacious backyard / sit-out area. There is so much to explore in and around the resort - we particularly loved the village-walk and the river walk. The property manager, ms. Aastha, is one of the most able managers you'll meet. She had proactively reached out to us well in advance to ask about our food preferences, etc. Once we reached the place, she met us and helped plan all the things we could do during our stay in nubra. Her staff ensured that we had a very comfortable and relaxing stay there. The rustic feels given to the rooms and the overall architecture made us feel very close to the nature during our stay at lchang nang. It is a fantastic property that i would strongly recommend. One minor thing the management can look into: the food and beverages seemed unnecessarily expensive, and the variety of food in buffet can be increased further. It is a beautiful resort that is managed by a fantastic team. Thanks to them, we had a lovely stay.

If you are looking for a place to be with yourself, a place to get away from your busy schedules and worries, lchang nang is a place to be. I have always wanted to visit this resort for years. I have read some great reviews about this place, and i have heard a lot of wonderful comments from my friends about how great this place is. To be honest, those comments and reviews are one hundred percent true. Something about this resort makes me feel at ease, relaxed and calm. Maybe it’s the location, maybe it’s the staff or maybe it’s everything. You can tell that whoever put this place together was so detailed and carefully curated every little thing you see throughout the resort. The room i stayed in was spacious and equipped with everything i need for my stay. I loved the outdoor sit-out where i normally sat to enjoy my book and coffee. The staff were wonderful. They were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also great. They have quite a variety of food selections. You must try their “waffles & eggs” menu! highly recommend this place for those looking for a peace and calmness.

This is my 2nd time in ladakh & i love exploring resorts. This so far has been my best premium luxury stay. The house of trees is a boutique property nestled in serene location away from the footfall of hunder. With a plethora of signature experiences, you’ll have so much to do. We ended up doing bbq & stargazing at dunes under starry skies. It swept off our feet! food is impeccable and pancakes have all my heart. Talking about the rooms, we didn’t expect them to be so warm and cozy. This resort provides you with the best of world-class amenities and multiple heaters in rooms & washroom. If you feel more cold, they have electric blankets as well to aid you. In terms of hospitality, you’ll get to experience welcoming staff who are always ensuring that you are having the best stay. Thanks to the manager, shabir, and the entire team for making our stay unforgettable. Initially, i had booked for 2 nights but ended up extending for more. Undoubtedly, my family will come here again on our next ladakh trip.

Surreal experience staying in this peaceful resort. Nestled in pristine side of nubra, this place is perfect getaway for nature lovers. Right from t the check in- staff makes u feel at home. Furtheron, the property orientation left us awestruck. You will find interesting details about its mindful construction and many curated experiences. We pre-booked picnic by siachin river and local culinary class & was amazed by them. Talking about food, it exceeded our expectations especially barley polenta ( best local dessert. The village walk to old house lets you know so much about ladakh culture. And our favorite part was having tea in our private sit out area in front of cottage and looking at beautiful himalayan ranges with birds chirping. Don’t worry about heating facility, their rooms are very warm including bathrooms. Overall a wonderful stay would love to come back, thanks to the staff for making our stay memorable and special mention of shabir who have been so kind and helpful.

The stay was good for a day. The service of the staff is exceptional. Solar powered retreat and close to Hot spring and secret lake. Also sand dunes at Sumur village is an added attraction for the location.

The Lchang Nang Retreat- The House of Trees us very beautiful, stay is amazing and night having bonfire and having couple if drinks and nice food. Very clear sky and watch stars.

The stay was comfortable, had all the amenities. They provide room heating and have heated beds. Shabbier guided us through the booking very well, and we had a warm welcome.

A serene and scenic resort surrounded by many trees and snow clad mountains. The view from the room is magnificent. Rooms are heated and has a outdoor seating, food is superb and brilliant! with many curated experiences, you will stay engaged. We booked picnic under the elms and chill by the fire. Thoroughly enjoyed.

The house of trees is an exceptional accommodation choice. From the moment i stepped foot the house of trees, i was greeted by friendly local staff who provided top-notch service throughout my stay. The rooms were tastefully decorated, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury amid-st nature with private sit out. The resort’s amenities, including heating facility, were excellent. Their signature experiences made our stay further memorable. The dining options were diverse, with a range of delicious cuisines to choose from. The location was set amid-st pristine nature. Overall, i had a luxurious and memorable experience.

What a beautiful resort with inspiring sustainability quotient. Especially the sit out area attached to rooms with scenic himalayan view is a highlight during our course of stay. But also the culinary highlights left a great memory, with great flexibility of choosing different menu options and we couldn’t help but chose lot many ladakh dishes. What’s brilliant about this resort is how experiential it is. We chose chef’s tasting & bbq at dunes - trust me! we were left with no words - beautifully curated by their experience team. A must visit!

Special appreciation goes out to the restaurant and front off staff for arranging a yummy cake for my father’s birthday which was a beautiful gesture. Overall the staff was accommodating, flexible and supportive.

Nice stay and the facilities were also nice. Room was very good but need to implant a central heating system. Rest everything was good.

The resort is the best luxurious place i have ever been in. I truly felt like home cu z the staff was amazing. Chef prepared very tasty meals. We had great time as the resort offers lot of activities and experiences like stargazing, bonfire, breakfast by riverside. We enjoyed our breakfast on the siachin river bank. It is on of the best experiences, i had in life. It was an awesome experience. Would love to visit again

Loved the place. The food they served was delicious. We got all types of cuisines there, local food is a must try when you are here. The view from the room and the resort was awesome. Great hospitality throughout the stay. The Village tour with Dolma was one of the best experiences. Staff is amazing and Shabir is one of the best hosts. It was one of the best places we stayed in Ladakh.
