Le CHATEAU

We stayed just for a single night. Below are the pros and cons: Pros: 1. Right in the middle of White town. This place would help in taking in the charm of old pondy. 2. The place has a old world charm and yet tries to be contemporary. It works. Cons: 1. No car park for the guests. We had to park on the streets under a tree. Being a car lover, it hurts to see ones car covered with leaves and bird poop. The service and attention to detail of the service staff is below par. At 6 in the morning they couldnt deliver a bottle of water, the reason - 'restaurant opens only at 7. 30'. This kind of summed up our experience as a whole. 3. The value for money quotient is below par too. With the rooms missing some basic amenities including a hair dryer. 4. There is no where in the room the Le CHATEAUs reception number is mentioned. The best place to do it is on the phone itself. I had to walk down and wake up the staff.

Vicinity to major attractions in the city is the major value proposition of the Le CHATEAU. Additionally well maintained rooms, good WiFi connectivity, and a warm staff are great positives for the Le CHATEAU. Unfortunately the Le CHATEAU does not do anything with these superb assets to drive better customer experience and finds itself in the middle category Le CHATEAU . However the Le CHATEAU has all ingredients to push itself into the next tier but the management is either too lazy or conservative or lacks ideas. Some examples of areas which can fixed quickly include quality toiletries, limited breakfast menu, and reserved parking. An average experience from a well maintained Le CHATEAU in the heart of the town was an anticlimax and my heart constantly yearned for more.

I had last stayed here in 2015, and I must say, it was a great place to stay then and even better a place to stay now. They have improved in terms of adding a bakery and restaurant, menu has more variety and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff is amazing, then and now, we recognized each other and we were shown around. If the staff hasn't changed in the last four years, the owner of the Le CHATEAU has to be doing something right. Everybody is courteous and always ready to help. It's a home away from home for me in Pondicherry. Thank you guys!

The location is awesome, right in White Town and just a 2 min walk from the Promenade Beach and surrounded by lots of cafes and shops around it. The staff is courteous and leave no stone un turned in there hospitality. The rooms are quite small and cozy. Its good option if you plan to roam outdoors all the time and come back only for sleeping. We did just that so had a great stay. All required amenities are available and the rooms are very neat and clean. The roof top Restaurant has a lovely ambience and we loved spending time there.

Le Chateau is a heritage setup but only from Outside with its French colonial styled bailing. Interiors and Amenities are modern. It is at a stone throws distance from the beach. The location is undoubtedly the best with all the major restaurants and cafeterias surrounding it. The Le CHATEAU has a bar on the ground floor, a roof top restaurant and a pub in the basement. The food at the restaurant is really delicious specially 'catch of the day". The owner is a warm person and the staff are warm too!!!

A charming little place in white Town. We stayed for 2 days as a family. The place is couple of minutes walk away from the rock beach in the french part of the town. They have their own restaurant in the terrace of the Le CHATEAU. The quality of food was great we had a lovely evening with some ho garden for company. Room recommendation do opt for the rooms with balcony. There's not much view, but the rooms are bigger with plenty of light.

Chateau was a nice small, cozy, traditional place. But it definitely has great potential to get so much better. This does not reflect that things are not to the mark, they are to the mark, but if improved slightly on smaller things, the place can get legendary. It is already perfectly located, improve on the food quality, in room entertainment and the place can get so much better.

It was a wonderful stay at Le Chateau which is very close to the beach. The room was rather small, but since I was a solo traveller, I didn't mind. It was clean and neat, bed very comfortable, sheets clean. Enjoyed complimentary cookies and chocolates in the evening, that was a surprise. The staff was good and polite. So no complaints. I fully enjoyed my holiday here.

I stayed in Superior Balcony room which was pretty good. The breakfast was good with variety and good quality. The room service was good and the staffs were friendly and helpful. The food from the restaurant was really good in taste and quality.

Pleasant and helpful staff. Ambience of the Le CHATEAU is good. Central location an easy access to other popular destinations in Pondicherry.

Probably the best location to stay in Pondicherry and above that staff is friendly and clean rooms.

Very helpful staff especially Mr. Emile and the complimentary continental breakfast was good with lot of options. They provided complimentary cookies and chocolates everyday. The housekeeping staff kept the room clean everyday

Le Chateau offers nice cozy rooms! The staff are very cordial and they make you feel comfortable. The rooftop restaurant is pretty great too both food wise and presentation wise. The location is a major plus point as one of Pondi's main beaches are just a 2 min walk away.

Worth staying. One minute walk from the Beach. Good breakfast and very friendly staff.
