Leopard Rock Wilderness Resort

In the outskirts of commercial Ooty town is the Leopard Rock wilderness resort. We had booked a double occupancy room and to our delight we were the only one who had booked that suite. Was an awesome experience the chill in the climate made our trip quite thrilling and exceptinally relaxing. Was anyways looking forward to see wildlife animals as the resort is in the nature on the valley and seen quite a few reviews on the same, was blessed to see Basion, Sambhar Deer, Red panda and the fantastic Leopard. Couldn't have asked for more. What made my trip and stay more comfortable was the staffs Ajit, Micheal and security Guard Mr Ramu. We experienced a great hospitality and excellent food though limited but very tasty. Anyways food was secondary as you will not get a chance to take your time time out of the pristine view from the great balcany this resort has. My 3 nights at this resort was like 3 days in heaven. Had kept my Ooty sigh seeing very limited as didnt want to venture out much in the commercial town but did visit the pine forest, botanical garden and best of the lot the Paykara waterfalls. Hiring a cab for my sight seeing was super easy and comfortable with locals cabs and Make my trip cab services. We had gone for a family vacation at Leopard Rock. The location is excellent, away from the city in a quiet place with a great view. You get a beautiful view of the valley from the rooms and sit-outs, the common dining place has a excellent/commanding view. There is a beautiful landscaped garden with a number of colorful flowers. There is a small forest nearby, so a large number of birds visit the place. The sounds of birds wake you up in the morning, deer visit sometimes along other wild animals. The staff is very courteous and they were very prompt to any request we raised. We enjoyed the place. I would recommend this place for relaxing trip with a beautiful view. Note: This is place is on the Masinagudi- Ooty highway. You need to have a vehicle to reach this place. This road is one way so you can only go towards Ooty but if you want to return after visiting Ooty you need to show your Leopard Rock Wilderness Resort reservation otherwise the cops will not allow you travel back from Ooty to this resort on this road. So keep your reservation slip handy if you travel to and fro to Ooty.

We went on a trip with our 8 months old baby. The Leopard Rock Wilderness Resort's atmosphere made us stay there the whole time cancelling all the plans we had for nearby visits. Firstly, the staffs friendliness and helping nature. Secondly, the Leopard Rock Wilderness Resort cleanliness, and ambiance. Thirdly, the location and the view. Then, the most important food taste! The staffs were very friendly and made us feel at home. They made sure our baby is comfortable and fine and we are having the best stay. We had a great time.

This resort is built at one of the remote locations of Ooty. They offer limited number of rooms. I give 5 stars for the location, maintenance and view of nature and forest from this resort. I feel prices are slightly expensive for the rooms and amenities they provide but it's worth paying for the location and view. 3 stars for their service as I had to remind them of all amenities. Breakfast offered had limited options and was really tasty. Over all, pretty much worth for the location and view.

Firstly if you are looking for best scenery at your stay, this is right place. Secondly the food they provide is hygienic and value for money. Very friendly staffs. Since its located in remote area, accessible to mainland bit frustrating, it cost around a certain price rupees for a trip. But Leopard Rock Wilderness Resort provides the trip. Other than that this place will awesome for chill out in calm environment with breathtaking view and climate changes it provides.

Right from the beautiful location of the Leopard Rock Wilderness Resort to the friendly staff, room cleanliness, delicious food and an awesome view everything was amazing. My stay at this place was a wonderful experience and i'm already planning for the next one! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to relax and enjoy nature's beauty in the Wilderness and you might be lucky to See some wild animals right in front of the Resort.

Pros: room service was good. Food was top notch. Really very tasty. If one is lucky you could even spot tigers from the resort! has a good view of forest and mountains. Cons: location is a bit isolated. Room maintenance was average. Our fan stopped working in the middle of night and no one were there to attend in the reception. Bathroom lights were not working. Overall i would say it was a decent stay.

The location of the resort is too good and its super peaceful that you could only hear birds chirping. It’s located near the 10th hairpin bed of Kalhatti- Masinagudi Road. The resort staffs were super helpful and the cost of the food was also reasonable. We could able to see Bisons and deers every day right next to the resort. It’s a perfect place for those who prefers to explore.

The Resort is in a Valley where the view from rooms is exotic. The staffs are very friendly and food is also awesome. Apt place for those who would love to stay away from City and have some peaceful time. Food rates are also very nominal. Overall good value for money spent

Staffs are very professional and friendly, nice place to relax, great view from the resort.

Hotel is beautiful but you have to pay for everything, nothing is free even they don't have room, coffee complimentary, campfire is chargeable.

The place was serene, amidst Nilgiris mountain range and was a perfect getaway with good food, very helpful and friendly staff. Overall a very great experience. Happy to visit again!

Good place, beautiful location

We stayed at the Leopard Rock Wilderness Resort for two days and the atmosphere was unmatchable, location was spectacular, food was excellent, the service was awesome. I can’t resist and avoid myself to share my views about the Leopard Rock Wilderness Resort.

Go ahead to book this place. It's too good. You will enjoy the nature crazily. Rooms were spacious, absolutely neat and clean. Food was awesome. Everything about this place was too good! I would like to visit again.
