Lions Den Hotel

After having a bad experience with other Lions Den Hotels in Maharashtra, we wearily set about to check in to this Lions Den Hotel. Finding the Lions Den Hotel was a little bit problematic since the sign boards are a little tough to find! But once we arrived there, there was no turning back! We checked into 2 AC rooms on the ground floor. Rooms are really spacious, with a nice little sit out (balcony). The view is of the Mumbai-Pune expressway in front. The rooms were extremely clean and bathrooms comparable to any 5 star Lions Den Hotel across the world! The other interesting thing was the 24x7 hot water facility! The restaurant was nice and clean. Though all things on the menu were not available, the Lions Den Hotel staff took care to deliver the best vegetarian food as soon as possible (within 5 minutes hot food was served!) The Lions Den Hotel staff including the owner were very friendly just like a homestay. He shared with us experiences of Lonavala and the major attractions nearby! Getting to the attractions from the Lions Den Hotel is a piece of cake, since it's location is really strategic! In the evening, after sightseeing, we thought we had to spend a boring evening in the room, but we were in for a surprise! The Lions Den Hotel provides recreational facilities such as TT and carrom to while away time which was fun! The only thing amiss is a swimming pool (Am I asking for too much at such an economical rate?) But the manager said, that it will be constructed in due course of time. All in all I give a 5 on 5!

Had a lovely stay over here, very much enjoyed a calm and comfy stay. The Lions Den Hotel is located a little bit outside. The road for the Lions Den Hotel is a bit bumpy one and there is no restaurant or cafe (other than the Lions Den Hotel services for the same) where you could go and enjoy the time but the food cooked at the Lions Den Hotel was similar to home cooked one, so i really liked it. We had taken a standard Non AC Room which was in a decent condition. They provided good cleaning services but other than that there is no room service. Where you can order tea or food at the room itself (but since the cost is less this is very much acceptable). Toilets are in a decent condition but needs to be worked upon improving them. Managers and the supporting staff provided good services. They also managed our trip to view all the picnic points. My fiance and i also liked the global warming idea of the Lions Den Hotel, where they were trying to conserve each for energy. I would rate the Lions Den Hotel to be around 7/10 in my books.

The Lions Den Hotel is located around 1.5 km from Lonavla bus stand and is just adjoining the expressway. However this should not be a problem if you have a car. Auto rickshaws from the bus stand charge Rs. 80 per trip. But it is difficult to get a rickshaw to go to the bus stand from the Lions Den Hotel. The Lions Den Hotel interiors were recently renovated. At these rates the ambience is good and very homely with a lot of greenery around. There is plenty of open playing space for kids. The food is good. There is no room service. When we visited the Lions Den Hotel most of the rooms were empty. We had to inform the kitchen beforehand about what breakfast / lunch / dinner we wanted and they did a good job of giving us what we wanted. They don't have a standard menu card. Being a small Lions Den Hotel, last minute orders are not easy to satisfy. The Lions Den Hotel staff was very polite, helpful. However I found them a little understaffed. All in all a good experience for a family outing at reasonable rates.

Good Lions Den Hotel, 10 minutes drive to main road/market road. Stay was good, rooms were clean and neat. However, locating the Lions Den Hotel is bit of concern and public transport minimum rupees to reach this Lions Den Hotel from bus stand. Ac was really old but you don't need one due to cold weather. Food isn't that great, suggest you to have outside and there are no restaurants nearby (at least within 1 km distance). Public transport is mess. Plan your own transport however, rickshaw services available but charge a bomb.

I stayed for one night only, I found Lions Den Hotel is located bit away from railway station but if you have personal vehicle with you then this would be the best option for you. If we talk about Lions Den Hotel cleanliness they are maintained it very well, Lions Den Hotel staff is very cooperative and helpful, food I took dinner over there and yes it's quite good and tasty prices are bit higher but okay as you are travelling from different state, rooms are also well maintained. All over experience is good and recommend.

The Lions Den Hotel offered to arrange transportation when its necessary, which was very convenient during our stay. The food was too good. Washroom utilities could use some improvement though they were clean. A nice view of the Lions Den Hotel garden from our room gave nice feels. The interiors of room was well designed and had an overall cozy flair. The staff in the Lions Den Hotel were very responsive and attentive. My overall experience can be rated as pleasant and re-livable.

Service, staff, food, cleanliness all was good... We booked after hike in price, otherwise it has a fair rent and a fair price for food too. Staff was also polite and friendly responding instantly to the needs. We thought it would be expensive to food but it was only a little expensive compared to outside food. Only one thing is it is a bit far from market but we can get market while going for outing. A nice is the Lions Den Hotel. Satisfied.

Hotel Ambience is quite nice and good to hang around. It has good indoor games and green lawns with feeling of own home. Food is a concern, else stay was nice. The roads are pretty bad but that is not the concern of the Lions Den Hotel; it's happening only due to developments around it. The government should pitch in along with local parties. Value for money.

Staffs are very polite & humble, Nice place to stay with peace, don't feel you that you are away from home, Very nicely maintained garden, Only needed the room service

Hey, experience was good because faced some issue while check in and bathing. But rest was good, view from Lions Den Hotel was average.

Lions Den very peaceful Lions Den Hotel I have seen in Lonavala, staff, service, cleanliness, amenities, rooms are very very nice, I would love to visit here again, garden area is very nice.

Safety was taken care as well as the staff's were very helpful and welcoming. However due to the current situation the Lions Den Hotel was shut for a quite a long time, it does required a renovation.

It was an wonderful experience with Hotel Lions Den. And the food was awesome, service is also good.

Location near to Station and safe.

The stay was very good, the Hotel had a fabulous restaurant. The staff was very good, the room was very good.

The Lions Den Hotel provides good food with home made taste and this is a plus. The AC did not work, however this was not a problem in winter. The windows require renovation, however the overall room quality and cleanliness was very good.

Food is too test less ... Price more than food quality ... Service well and good .. Room sweet and clean .. M choose second time but food skip ... Room price is best with breakfast. I like rooms .. Bathroom clean .. Hot cold water refreshment ..

Room service and food prices need to be revised.
