The location was good, but food (only breakfast) wasn't good even if they didn't provide water in the room. The blanket was very thin and single. For hot water, they didn't provide electric cattle. Breakfast wasn't hygienic. The room and bathroom were very spacious and good.

no amenities in the room. not even a bottle of drinking water, no toilet roll in the bathroom. room was big, and the balcony had a good view.

The rooms were too big and the view outside was so majestic... Best in budget. The receptionist bhaiya was so well behaved and helpful. Definitely consider this stay.

Pros: 1. Beautiful background balcony and mountain view. 2. Large Spacious Room. 3. Located near an elephant safari spot, nearby shops, restaurants and best cafes. Cons: 1. Frequent power cuts are available due to weather conditions of Kumily but no power backup available. 2. No Hot water in the room. 3. No other amenities like Kettle, Drinking water and other stuff. 4. No Plates even glasses in the room. 5. During my stay the TV was not working. 6. Steps are so slippery Overall My Comment is, if you are looking for a cheap stay and you are ok with the above cons the stay may be best for you.

Room and toilet is spacious and very good. Forest view from balcony is superb. This is more like a room in an apartment building. No other facilities are available. There are many restaurants and tea shops within 1km distance.

familyFound this place through mmt. It's basically a homestay of 3 floors, 1 room on each floor. The room size is gigantic, 47 ft in length and around 12 ft in width. Large bathroom. The ceiling height was also 12 feet or so. Big enough balcony, with amazing view of the forest and bamboo plantation. Breakfast was tasty, didn't try lunch/dinner though.

soloThe room itself is amazing and the views into periyar tiger reserve are stunning! well maintained and clean. Mr dipak also offers amazing home cooked meals. However, there is no covered parking - but mr dipak kindly offered to keep my motorcycle in a shaded spot.

familyNice ambiance. And beautiful stay near to the forest. The staf was very friendly and helpful to plan the entire trip where he arranged all the activities in thekkady for us. Our travel to thekkady was not very well planned before visit but lucky to have a person to help there.
