Beautiful Place, the first impression of this property will be simply wow! USP of this property is its location, not far away from the city but yet close to the backwaters! It's bang attached to the lake side with a simple garden, the first thing you see while walking in the property garden are these big boat houses crisscrossing, treat to the eyes. Property even has a small jetty where private boats come to pick you up. One stop solution for your Alleppy needs. Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner Anshad and Amina, a simple man with loads of local knowledge and passion to serve customers. We were not keen on spending our day in a Houseboat for which Anshad recommended us for a 2 hour round trip on a small boat called Shikara, he even took us to the local jetty a KM away in his car, negotiated the amount for us and also arranged an Auto for our return back to the Home Stay.. Amazing person!.. Loads of respect for him. Amina cooks delicious food and we enjoyed all meals we had their, I traveled with wife and 2 kids and all of us enjoyed our short stay there.. Am surely going back their again and again. Amina and Anshad go out of the way to make your stay comfortable. Hats off to these lovely couple. Lastly thanks to the great discount on MMT which makes it really affordable.. Hopefully they keep the discounts coming :)

The owners who live inside resort is the best part of my stay. The pleasant and helping behaviour of couple made our stay with family comfortable. The food served was of good quality and you can see in their kitchen how it is prepared. As it was Kerala Band that day, Mr Anshad went a step ahead helping us with giving his motorbike for reaching massage place. We spent two nights there but how time went we don't know. He arranged taxi for our onward journey on reasonable price. Our kids played in their lawn, swing ed in their resting swings. Food made was of home quality and less spicy as demanded by us. The other guests at home stay were also of family type that gave us extra edge for comfort. The location of home stay was out of town near a village and when we reached there it was night hence we felt very awkward but Mr. Anshad was in contact with us on phone from the place we started journey from Kottayam on the day before the Kerala band.

I stayed at the Lovedale Lakeside homestay with family for a day on Dec 17th 2016. Booking: Done via MakeMyTrip, hasslefree as usual. Location: Beautiful location bang on the west bank of the vast Vembanad lake. It is about 1 km from the main road (SH 40) and not difficult to locate. People: A couple run the homestay, they were very courteous and helpful with anything required. Room: We had an AC room on the 1st (top) floor that was clean and spacious, with all essentials. No TV though probably because this is a homestay - a place to enjoy local nature and relax. They have a dining area facing the lake. Food: Excellent homely food. Not expensive also. Overall, if you are looking to have a relaxing time by the lake with good food, this is a very good option, with true value for money.

Lovely scenery and it's an extended family taking care of you. It's a dream setup. Neat lawns over looking the Chinese fishing nets, boats entering and leaving the water ways, you get to ride the tourist boats from this resort. Boat jetty is 5min drive and there is a floating restaurant. The most important is your are care for by the owner and his family. Cooking, cleaning and serving is all done by them. With lot of care, love and happiness reasonable rates. Thank you uncle and family. Will visit again. If it's for sale. I would buy and make it my home. I don't think he will sell :-)

This one is a nice home stay. Mr. Anshad is a friendly person, who personally attended to our needs. Location is very scenic, right on the bank of backwaters. Final 1 km of approach road is a bit narrow but we managed to reach the place without any issues in our car. Rooms were neat and tidy, with AC. The garden in front of the homestay is well maintained. Food provided by Mr. Anshad & family was excellent. Overall, it's a nice place to stay for a family.

The location of this home-stay is near to Muhamma at a place called Puthanangadi and is on the bank of Vembanad lake. The location won't disappoint you at all. Occasional rain added more ambiance during our stay. It is a small property with two cottages and three rooms in the main house. The host is very friendly and helpful. Food is prepared as per request and was quite delicious (moderately priced). Pathiraamanal, Maarari beach and Kumarakom is nearby.

Good but water is unhygienic as the Lovedale Lakeside Homestay | Rooms & Chef is right near the backwaters. Room is average. But food is homemade and yummy. And the scenary and the garden is beautifulAwesome homemade food and environment is lovely. But water and room is not that good. Transportation difficulty is there. Boat can be taken near the Lovedale Lakeside Homestay | Rooms & Chef but is very expensive. Hotel is far away from allepey city

The homestay is located 6 km from main road. Not very difficult to locate with maps. The family there were very friendly and cooked amazing and tasty Kerala specialities. The view from the homestay is very beautiful. Clean and very spacious rooms. They also help in booking houseboats and plan other activities. Definitely and recommended place where you can spend at least 2 days without getting bored.

Excellent service and homely food. Very good hospitality. Very good view. Very helpful.

The host is very helpful in arranging reasonably priced transportation for sightseeing. Enjoyed watching Kingfisher dive to catch fish and Eagles flying around. Will definitely go back and spend more time. The fish fry was good Will recommend Marari beach nearby. Avoid coming to this place through Cochin because of heavy traffic. Use Trivandrum - Varkala - Alappuzha route.

The place is amazing. Location is serene. Hospitality was very nice. Food was very tasty and home made. Rooms are big and clean. The only drawback is shower doesn't have hot water. But apart from that the place is fab. Will visit again soon.

It was a great experience overall. We stayed here overnight Must admit Amina ( house owner) is good cook. Had excellent breakfast and dinner I thank them for the generous hospitality. You can also check with them for boat rides as there are cheap options available

Well I must say this is much ideal for peace seekers 15kms from alleppey ... Service is good .. Owner is chilled out man .. Lake is very cool and pleasant, food is very tasty and affordable .. Value for money.

One of the best home stay one would get in Alleppey. Location is something awesome as it is the water greets you at the doorstep. Hospitality and food are another reason that makes the stay pleasant. House boats do come to the home stay to pick you up which is unique to this place. Definitely a memorable place to stay.

U will not feel stay away from home. The very good location-perfect place is adjacent to Allepey Lake. Food homely whatever you got is cooked by the owner. No many options on the food menu. The heater is not properly working.

The location of this place is amazing, combined with a warm host makes the stay memorable. Anshad and his wife treated us like guests. The food served was excellent and the boat ride arranged by Anshad completed our Kerala experience. I'll definitely go back to this place. For more than a night.

Lovedale lake side homestay is far from Alleppey railway station but if you have come for a holiday for relaxation, this would be a good option for stay as it is very close to lake. Food served is good in quality and rooms are also very clean.

Worth staying for the facilities. Good food. Loved the hammock. Great place! The vembanad lake is a treat to the eyes. On call availability of boats is also really helpful for travellers. I recommend this more to the bachelor friends who want to have fun and relax!

Located little far away from the city. But the location is good. Rarely Houseboats pass by the location. The owners were really helpful and friendly too. Rooms were spacious and clean. Don't expect luxury stay. It's a place for those who wants to spend some quality time with family and without doing anything else.
