Madpackers Manali Rooms|Dorms

I stayed at madpackers female dorm. It was my first solo trip and i was extremely nervous. The second i entered the place, the view from there was startling. Going on from there, the people and the vibe was just immaculate. It was genuinely peaceful and people were also working from there. Every morning i'd wake up into a charming group of people ready to absorb the mountains. I loved the company of vandana and minal who were hosting us there, they were really sweet and helpful and game night with minal was just incredibly fun! being in old manali, it's the best for solo travellers looking for the manali trance they stepped in for! (beware, autos go there on there own whim so you might have to get accustomed to daily hikes. The food was okay okay, chi was amazing, and the whole set up is really aesthetic and open. The bathroom was a bit smelly, could be cleaner. I also had a roommate who asked for a new blanket and was told we can't possibly wash them every day by the staff so that was a big red one. Take your own towels, toothbrushes and everything. They have 2 soap dispensers, 1 for bath and 1 for handwash. Also get your own lock for your locker, although no need. People had their laptops lying around and whatever and everything you think you lost never actually leaves the property and minal made sure to get me my leggings back all thanks to the local worker kamlesh who always greeted me with a beaming smile. Oh and i also got the privilege to make a painting as they had everything handy for art over there! had a splendid and the most peaceful time. Also, their wifi password will be the reason why you'll keep extending your stay- beware!

Property 5/5 hosts 5/5 experience 5/5 amenities 4. 5/5 food 4/5 vibe 5/5 i had a very pleasant stay at mad-packers manali, the property offers you a beautiful view of the mountains, it is peaceful and has its own orchards so feel free to enjoy fresh fruits. Bathrooms, rooms and common area were neat and clean, good internet speed and lovely vibe. The hosts arun and minal are very friendly and make you feel welcome. They also suggest you good cafes near by, places to visit and even plan for small experiences like evening hike(if there are enough people. Vibe of this place is very good, fellow hostellers party almost every night and you get to meet a lot of good people. Their cafe which was shut for renovation has started so now you can enjoy food at the property itself. The hostel has cameras installed so you needn't worry about safety of your belongings. The location being old manali offers you lot of good cafes in a 10-15 min walk. The property is directly not reachable by any vehicle so you might need to walk for 5 mins from the main road, but its worth it considering you get a lot of peaceful space once in the property. The only con i felt was that room didn't had fans(which i guess is true for most old manali) so in summer for few days it was bit hot. Overall a very fine experience to stay at mad-packers manali, definitely will choose it again. As i mentioned the vibe was very friendly and so were the hosts. Recommended for worcations and stays.

Visited manali last week and i wanted to stay and relax at a place which is away from the city. Booked this place at okd manali and literally had one of the most amazing stays here. Mad-packers is little away from manali mall road so you’ll have to get an auto if you want to visit the mall road. Also you can cross the forest which takes less time. The property has an amazing view of the hills which is refreshing. A beautiful backyard with nice seating where you can chill. They have a common lounge area where you can chill too. Rooms are neat and tidy. Spacious rooms and beds were spacious too. They maintained really good cleanliness in the rooms as well as in the bathrooms. I’ve been to couple of bag-packers hostels but their level of cleanliness had been the best. Want to appreciate kuldeep for his great hospitality. He’s friendly, kind and very helpful so if you need anything or any info about the city do approach him. Definitely going back to mad-packers whenever i’m in manali.

It was an awesome experience. Calm serene and happy place. The staff was so welcoming and gave us travel tips too. Breakfast aloo paratha, corn flakes, bread, masala tea the menu satisfies the appetite of wide variety of guests and it gave us the home cooked food vibe. We could go for a trekking expedition to jogini waterfalls with all inmates of Madpackers with Sushant guided us and we could thus connect with old Manali, natives, short cuts, secret forest paths and bonus save a lot of taxi fare. The journey was beautiful our guide was friendly was taking care of all with great responsibility. Prime cafe shopping streets in walking distance and the property has mountain views good landscape. The rooftop terrace was used as yoga/meditation space. We loved the place and its ambiance. Will sure stay at the same place in our next Manali visit.

It was an amazing experience to stay at madpackers Manali. I was traveling solo for the first time and was a bit scared to be honest, but I found another home there and made lots of friends. I never felt like I was away from home because of the love and care of all the staff working there. I was planning to stay for a week but then I extended my stay for 7 more days. The peace of mind I found there is inexplicable and I would go back to stay there again and again.. Much RECOMMENDED if you're traveling solo or with friends, it's a cool and trendy place to stay where you won't feel lonely. I miss all of you- Kuldeep, Vandana, Tanu, Meenal, Rachit, Kamlesh bhaiya, Man Singh Babu bhaiya.. Thanks for making my stay memorable and showing love and compassion. You guys made my first solo trip magical.. Love you all 💖

Amazinggggggggg! madpackers manali host miss minal pant a carries such beautiful smile creates a positive atmosphere in the hostel. She is very helpful. Amazing at her job and will assist you in everything. Mad-packers manali is located in one of the best location. Once you wake up you see the mountains and that's one of best views and will refresh your mind. Amazing food and quick service. I decided to stay for 2 days and ended up staying 15 days and wasn't ready to leave at all. You will find amazing people, crazy movie nights, bonfire and game nights. Kudos to mad-packers team truly deserve 5 on 5

The dorm was clean, beds were great with 2 blankets and even the staff were really good. I was solo so i had a comfortable stay. Best part of the stay is the view of the snow-clad mountains just in front of the balcony. During my travel manali was snow covered which made it difficult to reach the hostel but on normal days it would be easy to locate. Other hostels are also nearby so good location.

So, I was injured when I reached Madpackers. The people working there helped me and took care of me. They provided me the bed even when I came there early. I had an amazing time there, made a lot of friends. We had fun and it was one of the best trips I have ever had. I would recommend solo travellers to pack their bags and go to Manali and stay at MADPACKERS ❤️

I didn't stay too Long but the cleanliness and ambience was good. The breakfast was nothing great though. The girl at reception, Aishwarya was helpful. It's hard to locate though and they need to put signboards on the way.

My stay at the hostel was genuinely enjoyable! the communal atmosphere made it easy to meet awesome people, and the friendly environment added a welcoming touch. The positive vibe made it a fantastic choice for travelers seeking a social experience. I'd definitely consider staying there again. I am missing staying there.

The property was a little bit far from the main City, but the market was nearby. Rooms were neat and clean. Staff was very polite and cheerful. All the basic amenities were there.

The stay was newly constructed and has a walk for 5-10 min from the main road. The property has a wonderful view of the mountains. The staff were very helpful & especially great thanks to minal for always being there to help us out.
