Magnolia Estates & Resort

I visited Magnolia estate and resorts for 4 days in may 2019 along with my family. The plantation cottage that I stayed in was very elegant and spacious with 800 set of space. The room decor including the aesthetics was exquisite. When we entered the premise we were asked to Park the car at a designated place near the entrance and were then escorted to the reception in their own car. When we quizzed on this we were informed that as cycling was being undertaken by the inmates, the vehicles from visitors were not allowed inside near the cottages. We thought it was quite a novel Idea. Having spoken of cycling there were various other activities like fishing, bird watching, trekking, plantation walks, indoor games like carrom, tt, badminton, basketball, throw ball, snooker, billiards. The lounge area in the club house was very spacious which also included a library. This had a good mix of books of many genres like science, fiction, epics, novels including books for children. The in-charge Shaji is very courteous and wears a smile on his face each time he is spoken to. One can enjoy all this all day with coffee or tea just a call away which comes all free. All in all we had a wonderful time at this Resort. My sincere advice is to enjoy the stay at the Resort without having to Resort to site seeing which can be kept for another day when you visit Coorg on another occasion.

We had stayed at Magnolia in end of May-2023 for 3 nights. in that time we really enjoyed the serenity and the luxury of the estate. This is the perfect place to rejuvenate and refresh yourself. We stayed at the Plantation cottage which was a very spacious and comfy room with a mesmerizing view of the plantation. The room service was very fast and reliable. The factors that need to be taken into concern are the regular power cuts in the evening and the fact that there is no network coverage in the rooms. The food was very good, healthy and did not cause any problems. Deb from the Indian restaurant was a very friendly and helpful person. We personally liked the Peppervine restaurant (Indian). Apart from the other activities the Plantation walk is an awesome experience mostly because of the guide Punith who was a very caring and jolly person. He had a great knowledge on all the plants and explained the local delicacies made from them. We were lucky to see a few coffee flowers as the harvesting and flowering of the coffee takes place only in December-January. Overall, the misty mornings, the pleasant afternoons and the rhythmic sounds of insects in the night was a cloud nine experience

We stayed here in this estate just for a night as a break on our way to Wayanad. Breath taking scenic beauty welcomes you as you enter the property. Very neatly maintained and the mother nature at its glory! Very co-operative and friendly staff. The van service to commute around the property is very swift (as you have to park your vehicle at the entrance and not allowed inside the property). The food is also good, must try local cuisine! We being fitness enthusiasts explored the whole of property jogging around and cycling. The fresh air and lush green surroundings will rejuvenate your each senses. The cottages are huge in size and comes with a touch of rural architecture. Bathroom can be improved in terms of bathroom fitting and fixtures. All in all we had a very pleasant stay and recommend for a family vacation.

We stayed there for three nights. The location is situated near a hill adjacent to the forest. The Resort is inside a coffee plantation with an excellent forest view. We were blessed with a pleasant weather during our stay, first day it rained a bit and was mostly cloudy, second day was sunny during the day and cloudy in the evening. In the morning we had bird watching and plantation walk in the Resort. We didn't have time for fishing and trekking, since we were travelling to Madikeri which is 30 km away. Inside the Resort kids played snooker, table tennis and badminton which were well maintained. The food was a little let down, the first dinner and breakfast were buffet and the quality and spread was poor, the second day it was ala carte and was much better. Overall it was a great experience and worth the price.

The magnolia estate is a lovely and a sprawling coffee plantation. I stayed at this quiet, charming and serene farm for three nights. I had taken a large, comfortable and well- appointed cottage which afforded a breath-taking view of the brahmagiri range of the western ghats and the vast strech of unspoilt, verdant and luxuriant forest. This gave one the feeling of staying in a forest. I should like to specially mention two persons : mr pravin, manager and mr puneet, club- incharge who were very affable, cooperative, informative and generally attended to our needs promptly and made us feel at home. But, nevertheless, i would like to voice a slightly unfavorable note as regards the quality and variety of food which requires improvement as to taste and appetising-nature.

We stayed in magnolia resort for 3 nights in may-2023 & we loved the time spent there. It’s a beautiful property inside a coffee plantation. Whole day & night you can hear either the chirping of birds or sound of some insect. You can go for plantation walk (arranged by resort) or on your own, go for cycling, play some indoor games. This place is around one hour drive from coorg. There are big rooms with fan (no ac) which are very comfortable. Two restaurants server indian & italian food. Food taste was good, though we felt buffet cost was little high. Staff was very helpful. They have shuttle service inside the estate. Over all a very good place to spend some quiet time among nature.

It seemed we are in natures lap. The location of the resort is excellent with dense vegetation surrounding the property. The behaviour of the support staff is courteous. Food is good and perhaps more variety could have been better. The club house has all facilities for indoor sports and is worthwhile to spend some time there. It has value for money. I would definitely recommend the resort. The only bane is mobile connectivity; especially if the service provider is vodafone. There is no wi-fi connection in the rooms. I would suggest the management should charge extra but provide wi-fi facility.

Check in to Check out - all time very nice feeling. Worth to stay there. Price of food is high but worth as well. Location is very nice. Good hospitality. All staffs are very polite and helpful. Mr.Praveen manager of this resort has taken care the guest very good way. All cottages are rightly arranged in the property. Given proper heritage feeling. Two small lakes are centre of attractions. Nice food preparation and good dining facility. Definitely will visit next time. Anytime you can visit to This resort entire 365 days …jogging, cycling, bird watching, fresh air, etc all there …

Really enjoyed the stay, gr 8 location, clean and well maintained cottage, a nice resort for family outing

Was there only for 10hrs, but could experience nature so closely. Vast area with all the required activities. Take a tour of the property walking with high heel boots as there are leaches. Food was ok. Breakfast was better than dinner. Will recommend to anyone who needs little wild nature stay.

Good service, food is good but there is scope for improvement

Generally people ignore Virajpet but trust me nothing goes similar to this resort. A big green property of 73 Acres with neat and clean ambience with so cooperative staff and calm and quiet atmosphere. They have really great clubhouse as well.

Must visit, if you love the greens. Great property right inside a coffee estate. Cottages are overlooked by a nearby hill, which also deflect a misty ambiance to the cottages. Photos don't really do justice, you need to visit to understand. If you are into one of those hectic Resort entertainment schedules, then this is not for you. If you like light trekking in nature, then look no further.

Did stay with my 2 daughters. One 3 year old and elder one 10 yr old. Both enjoyed the coffee estate experience. Very peaceful location

Free from City noise. Excellent location. Food options can be better.

Magnolia exceeded the expectations by their hospitality. The staff were courteous and polite, rooms were clean and spacious. Food was served fresh with 20-30 mins wait time. Both their Indian and Italian restaurants served nice food. The lakes they claim that are in the property are just ponds 😀 still we could capture some nice pictures nearby the ponds.

The property is well maintained, food is good, swimming pool is quite small. Quite often we found noone manning the restaurant and the club house.

Located far from the City, it's a serene and a perfect get away from City hustle bustle. Rooms are huge and amazing! Views are amazing! Club house is equipped and well maintained. Special thanks for Mr. Prashant at the restaurant for serving us
