Straight forward coming to pros 1) the location was fantastic. 2) the view from the room, property was breathtaking. 3) room service was great. 4) all the staff were great with smile on their faces everytime. Coming to cons 1) the food was below average. I would rate it 1 to 1. 5 star out of 5. They should need to change the cook i bileve. For one instance i ordered 2 rag i roti, it took them ages to give that. All other people had finished their food till that time. And when it was delivered it was a white co-loured maida rice flour roti. When we asked about it they servers had no clue about that. Gravies were bland. Choices are limited. I understand the fact that on top of such places delivering everything is tough but whatever they have written in menu at-least they should deliver it correctly. 2) 2nd horrific thing was big spiders, millipede, centipede, crawling on our pillow, bathroom near headrest. We booked premium room with balcony view but that was horrific experience because of these creatures. We were afraid to sleep, thinking when it will crawl in our ears. 3) one more thing i noticed was premium room had problem on their roof. At night in spite of having blankets and all our head and face use to feel fog in our head. So atlas t we had to cover our heads to sleep. This problem was not there in the cottage room as we had booking in that also but we faced this in premium room inspite of paying premium charges for that. 4) geyser capacity is very less. It takes around 15 to heat and within 2 min hot water ends. Again we have to wait for 15min in bathroom for hot water. I believe they can make a centralized hot water for the property. In short premium room experience was not at all good. The best part was the view, location, property and their staff.

Me & my wife planned for 2 days of stay from 24th till 26th oct but we extended & stayed 5 days. All because of stunning view of kanchenjunga and hospitality offered by Magpie Chestnut Resort Pelling staffs. We would specially like to mention the name of mr uddeshya gurung, the manager of the property. He is so active and helpful in all matters which really pampered us & made our stay like home. He was always there at our service almost 24x7 whenever we needed. The Magpie Chestnut Resort Pelling itself is a place from where one can do photography throughout the day. Good for couple and the best for elderly people who can't move much, can very well enjoy the property and mesmerizing view of the mount kanchenjunga. We will strongly recommend all, if anyone wants to enjoy pelling and scenic beauty of kanchenjunga along with stay like home, please book this property. We are sure, you will even extend your stay.

The view is excellent, place is serene and peaceful. Would recommend for those who need sometime with family in peaceful surroundings. Food is excellent, so is staff. Very helpful, smiling and ready to serve. We reached late and kitchen was closed but they managed to make some tasty Sandwiches and Pakora for us. Sound proofing is an issue as all conversation even across the corridor were audible loud and clear. Internet connectivity is big issue, mobile network was not working properly and wi-fi was also not working. No place for driver to be accommodated was another drawback as it is quite far from town. TV was also not working due to clouds. In short if you need a break from mobile, internet, TV and want some quality family time it is an excellent place to be.

Amazing experience we stayed here for 2 nights - and right from the time we checked in to the time we checkout, the staff made every effort to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Location of this property is amazing and atmosphere is very quite and relaxing. Food is great. They have limited staff but they work so hard to put things together which is hear-ting to see. Would like to specially thanks manager 'udeshya' and his staff - barsat, bikram, minmay ( kitchen), bishwajeet, minmay ( front desk manahher) for their amazing hospitality. All these people work very hard and very well mannered. Would highly recommend this property.

Nestled at the foothills of the Kanchenjunga, this resort was hidden away from the small town of Pelling, very peaceful and picturesque. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful resort, we booked a villa which had a big balcony where you can sit and enjoy the view of the Kanchenjunga snow covered peaks. We ate all meals at the resort which was very delicious also the staff was so helpful and friendly. Pelling was the highlight of my trip to Sikkim because of such great stay and hospitality of the people. I highly recommend you to stay at Magpie Chestnut Resort as it was value for money as well.

The Magpie Chestnut Resort Pelling is slightly off the main upper and low pelling area but it’s worth the extra drive. Unlike other Magpie Chestnut Resort Pellings in pelling this one looks like a small resort with ample space to walk around and explore. The rooms are spacious and have all the necessary facilities. The staff is warm& welcoming and the food is nice too. You can get up and take a nice walk around the resort in the morning and catch exceptional views of the mountain ranges.

Magpie Chestnut is an one of a kind property in Pelling with superb view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Its more of a resort with nice 2 storied cottages and lawn. Spread out property which is unique in Pelling since almost all the others are Magpie Chestnut Resort Pellings with standalone buildings. Situated right on the valley. Excellent staff and great food. Service wise also is good but could be a touch better. Overall a very good stay indeed in one of the best properties in Pelling.

The Magpie Chestnut Resort Pelling is absolutely amazing. Rooms are nice, staff is very helpful and friendly. Views are priceless. There's no central heating and the room heaters are small, so it's a bit chilly. They will give extra blankets though. There is nothing outside, you can't go to a restaurant by walk. The cab and the driver they arranged for the sight seeing was very good. They charge extra 1000 bucks for bonfire, which i think is a bit steep.

If you want a great view of Mount Kanchanjunga, this is a place to stay.

The location of this resort is beautiful land one can view Kanchenjunga in its full glory from the room windows. The rooms are clean and Magpie Chestnut Resort Pelling staff is courteous. The food is tasty and there is much variety in breakfast. We had a delightful and memorable stay in this Pelling Magpie Chestnut Resort Pelling.

Hotel location was very good, u can see kanchan junga from Magpie Chestnut Resort Pelling. Food was good and service is good. Water guiser installed is of very small capacity and need to fit big one.

Very good location if you're looking for unparalleled mountain views. It's 1 km away from the main market area. The Magpie Chestnut Resort Pelling staff were very helpful and organized bonfires and barbecues every evening during our stay here. There was good music as well. The food was brilliant. Only complain is with respect to the housekeeping staff. They take their own sweet time.

The best part about Magpie Magpie Chestnut Resort Pelling was the super close and clear view of Mount Kanchenjunga! If in Pelling I suggest you to stay here! It would be a bonus if they start the fireplace as well!

the Magpie Chestnut Resort Pelling location gives direct unobstructed glimpse of the Knchenjunga peak.Weather is much better and cleaner than Gangtok .Staff was good and cooperative . Restaurant menu was good considering Pelling to be like a small village. Bathrooms need some improvement ..

Following to be noted 1. Location. Location wise the place is great. You get a direct view of the snow clad mountains 2. Food needs a lot of improvement. 3. Room rooms are clean and tidy but room heating facilities are inadequate for month of nova dec. Hot water supply needs improvement
