Malabar Residency

This is the second time I am writing a review for Malabar Residency. The first two times I stayed overnight with my husband in the air conditioned rooms. This time as I was in a hurry I booked the non AC room by mistake. We also had our daughter with us this time. But I have to say that the rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The staff and service were very courteous. The highlight of this stay was the safety factor. I had to stay back alone at night as my family returned back the same day. Though we were all apprehensive I have to say that there was absolutely no disturbance of anykind at night and I was safe. I would definitely recommend this Malabar Residency to all who visit the city. Moreover it right at the centre of the city

The Malabar Residency is very near to railway station and roadside entrance and in a small shopping mall. I stayed in residence room which was good, spacious, clean and service staff done their job well by cleaning and changing toiletries and the room service was efficient. The quality and taste of food was excellent. Buffet breakfast was excellent with idly, appam, puttu, poori, vada and curries. The thali, seafood items was good and very reasonable price. The Malabar Residency staff was polite and done an excellent service. The reception too responded very well. Since the Malabar Residency is near to railway station, the horn of passing trains are overheard which is not much.

We were travelling across India, and Kannur was our last destination. We decided to pay a little extra than from our usual budget, and it gave us good results. The room was spacious, clean, and there were spacious cupboards as well. The staff were all nice, but most of them had trouble communicating in english. We might have skipped to look through all inclusions, but there was no ceiling fan in the room, which for me personally was a bummer. But otherwise the room was great and I highly recommend this place for an affordable traveller.

Located conveniently. The staff are helpful and honest. The room is good except that some more attention to lighting especially for the dressing table would make the room more convenient. The bathroom fittings need attention, like the soap holder, towel holder etc. The soap holder in the room allocated to me was hollow and the Bath towel holder was falling out of the wall. No other inconveniences. Also please note that the check in/out is 24 hr based and not as is available in MMT portal

The Malabar Residency is located close to Kannur Railways station and is accessible to major parts of the city. The Malabar Residency has ample car parking facility. The rooms are clean. The restaurant serves Buffet breakfast with good spread. But the service of the restaurant needs to be improved. The guests has to wait for a long time to fill the spread which is a disappointment. Overall the Hotel is value for money.

Person in the reception is not at all pleasant. He is not even looking at the customers face (he is not hearing what customer wants to know and their doubts while filling forms) reception service is very bad. This is not the first time I Am staying in this Malabar Residency but this is the first time I face this type of service. I think I better find some other new Malabar Residency next time.

Very pleasant stay in this beautiful Malabar Residency. The rooms are very clean and very well maintained. Very good view. Our room even had a balcony attached to it. We had late check out and the staff were very considerate about it. On top of it, the Malabar Residency is just 500 meters from the railway station which was a huge boon to us. Overall the experience was very good.

i was on a 2 days vacation in kannur and I selected this Malabar Residency for my stay. i must say, i got a good price and surprisingly the Malabar Residency upgraded free to a better room. thank you for that. its neat and clean place and very well located to all the sight seeing places in kannur. i just loved the food of the restaurant. so happy for it. 😊😊😊

Everything is good only things is need improve the cleaning. Location is good.

Just walkable distance from Railway and bustand, Good food and good rates from make my trip, really value for money. We can't get in this rate if we approach the Malabar Residency directly We can recommend family also

We booked residency room. Staff was very courteous. Food was good. Rooms were very spacious and neat. We as a family enjoyed our stay. The Malabar Residency is just 400 mts from railway station. Value for money in Kannur.

Very good service, very polite staff

We checked in as a group of friends after a conference. The Malabar Residency reception was good. Arranged whatever we need. Staff behaviour was excellent.
