Mantra Resort is a spacious property located on a hilltop with a beautiful view of the Bhatghar Dam Lake. The location is peaceful and perfect for a family or friends' outing. The food is good but expensive, and the rooms are spacious but not well-maintained. The property has many amenities, but most of them are chargeable. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the service can be slow at times. The road to the property is in bad shape, and the property needs maintenance. Overall, it's a decent place for a one or two-night stay.

A magical getaway

Found the property on the map while looking for a quiet getaway. It is indeed a superbly located getaway. Visited in peak monsoon and found the property in a mesmerizing environment of rolling hills covered in greenery and clouds. It is accessible only through winding tree-covered country roads in a reasonable state. Add to that brimming Bhatghar lake that lets you experience a visual delight like nowhere else. There are activities on the property to keep you engaged. Apparently there is a lack of serious footfall and therefore the maintenance somewhat lacks. Notwithstanding this aspect alone, the staff right from the general manager to the last person is extremely accommodative and responsive. Rooms are well maintained. Don't expect the immaculate layout of box properties, but if there are issues pointed out, it is immediately attended to. Didn't have light for 45 mins during the day. Rang up the housekeeping and I was assured it would be restored in 5 mins. Actually it came in 3 minutes followed by a visit by an apology manager housekeeping himself. If you are fed up with maddening crowd and traffic of city, love nature, country roads and quietness, this is the place to go to. Reasonable priced superbly served restaurant on property. Experience is lasting. Precautions. Talk to the front office before setting your route. By default Google map takes you on such a merry go around that you start having doubts. The place is isolated. There are issues in the connectivity of Bsnl and Idea numbers. If you care for street food, take some selected munchies because there are no street vendors anywhere near.
Great stay

Well, I am a not a great review writer but thought of at least thanking the Mantra Resort team for a wonderful experience that we had during our 2 nights 3 days stay. I found the property while surfing the net for a good weekend getaway. Looked at the reviews, property pics and decided to give it a shot and voila hit the bull's eye. I have two sons aged 13 and 8 years. As a family, one of the biggest challenges is to find a place where you can keep the young guns busy especially the hyperactive ones. This problem was taken care of by the big gaming zone at the resort where kids can spend hours playing multiple games/activities (Includes, carrom, chess, badminton, archery, pool table, gun shooting, box cricket, trampoline and many more). Rooms are decent with the facility for the kids to sleep in the drawing-room. Go for a trek at 7 in the morning, have a dip in the pool, have fun with kids in the water park. Three restaurants serving great food. One is pure veg. restaurant service was really good with the restaurant manager Mr. Bishnu taking care of all our needs especially food for kids which he ensured was non-spicy and prepared to their liking. Spend the evening in disc after a couple of drinks from the adjoining bar. Sing a couple of romantic Karaoke songs and wind up the great day. We also took the Kerala massage which was amazing and took away all the tiredness from two days. Thanks, Mantra team. It was a great stay and wish you all the very best. Please do bring adventure activities like zip line, Burma bridge, etc as well. Look forward to visiting again soon.
Decent stay but it can be better

Firstly thanks to MMT, stay was good but few things should be improved firstly the roads are too bad once you get left turn for the resort, I like food quality and proper arrangement of the tables and buffet there was no chaos (generally we face this issue) but it was well-organised also welcome at the reception was very warm staff is good. But I have few suggestions. They don’t give proper information about the timings and location of the games etc. Intercoms are not working in the rooms and most important thing is in the game zone area everything is chargeable even if you want to jump on the trampoline you have to pay for it. Bat and ball. Basketball snooker everything is payable. No lifeguards or any guide at the swimming pool and slides. Slides are not working they became completely dry you can walk on it. Lotus hall is closed. There are timing for the food after that you can’t get anything from the restaurant. You’ve to carry some eateries with you.
Solitude amongst wilderness

Had been there this weekend. It was raining heavily. People from several corporate teams crowded the swimming pool, water parks and the activity places. We stayed away from the crowd in our cottage. Drove down the hill towards the waterfall that we could see from our cottage. A peaceful experience altogether. There is a car (Maruti Eco) which ferries you from the lounge/restaurant to your cottage. We had our own vehicle. Food was not tried, because on medical grounds I had to make it on my own, so I carry travel multi cooker and make it if electricity is available but as per their menu card, simple dal costs high amount and a tandoori roti also. For room service you wait for another 1 hour and shell out more for just these 2 orders. So at the price my wife had a bowl of pulses and a roti. We found ourselves totally in-house due to heavy rains, so had nothing much of the activity of our age (50+). Overall we enjoyed in the wilderness.
Excellent location for nature lovers

When you take exit from highway at Nasrapur, the ambiance changes. It was drizzling. The trees, plants and grass was lush green. When you take exit from road to Raigad/Torna Fort towards Mantra. The roads are narrow but motorable. You climb uphill. The nature around you takes hold of your mind. The journey is beautiful. The resort is spread over large area. Our rooms were away from main reception. Even before taking procession of rooms, we had our lunch. And started walking in rain towards a water fall. It's about 2.5 km one-way walk. We enjoyed it. We checked in to our rooms after 4 pm. The cottage was very spacious with a good decor. However, you need a vehicle to easily travel around or be ready to walk. Our one night two days stay. We enjoyed it. With lots of activity like karaoke, movies and leisure talks.
Very big resort and pleasant experience

Very good resort. It's a huge resort. You have to go by car from your cottage to restaurant. Cottage rooms are huge in size and can accommodate up to 5 people easily. All activities and games are nice. You can play lot of games including ATV ride. Our package included pure veg rajasthani food which was simply excellent. They arrange for jungle walk at morning. Very polite and cooperative staff. If you are only 2 people then you can book Chavani single room instead of cottage. They are cheaper and near to restaurant and game zone area. Overall very big and nice property with natural surroundings. It's around 1 hour drive from Nasrapur. Road is manageable and not very bad but totally lonely. Avoid traveling past 7 pm. You should ideally check-in at 4 pm.
Resort on the shores of Bhatghar Dam Lake
Mudera Cariappa
This property covers a large expanse of area on the hill slopes overlooking the Bhatghar Dam Lake. There is a small pool and a water slide, though the water quality was not very good. There is ample space for walking around and being one with Nature. The rooms are clean and spartan. The staff is pleasant. The food is palatable. Dont put too much emphasis on the buffet. This resort will be transformed in its settings in the monsoon and immediate aftermath. It's under two hours away from Pune and is a good day picnic kind of getaway spot for groups.
Be careful for admission
Samrat Nandi
While we have been to the property before and it’s a cool, picturesque and beautiful place to be, this time the experience was marred as suddenly the Mantra Resort staff started billing for all the food service in spite of booking it all meals inclusive. Upon showing them the booking voucher for the above understanding, the Mantra Resort management bluntly denied the agreement stating they don’t accept booking meal transactions. Be careful for future booking.
