Maplewood Hotel & Spa

The Maplewood Hotel & Spa is a bit far (5 km away) from the main market (MG market), but it proved to be an amazing place to stay. I stayed there for three nights and enjoyed every moment of it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Anything you need, just call them up from reception and they will respond immediately. Food is very delicious and they also customise it depending upon requirement (for eg. More spicy or less spicy). Inside the room, they provide blanket, quilt, cupboard, table, chair and single seat sofa. In bathrooms, they provide geyser as well. Deluxe room had balcony attached as well to enjoy the view. They also provide room heaters at a rent of 300 per night. Overall, a perfect place to stay without any hassles.

Pros: 01) Very nice location. 02) Polite and helping staff. 03) Good rooms (but not very spacious). 04) Got complimentary Breakfast. Cons: 01) Wi-Fi did not work at all so I used my Mobile data. 02) Quite far from the city (but I was happy to opt it). Conclusion: It was good value for money. Secondly, you always have to book cab to roam around and cab will charge you same standard fare irrespective of pick and drop location. Therefore I saved a few bucks instead of spending those in some worthless Maplewood Hotel & Spas in main city.

I got a great deal from Make My Trip and I booked a standard room at MapleWood Resort. The resort has a nice ambience with a homely atmosphere. We got a nice clean room with a panoramic view of the mountains which was a treat to our eye. The hospitality of the staff was amazing right from our check in to check out, they took care of all our needs. The food was delicious and the service was prompt. Sitting by the place in the evening was indeed an amazing experience in this Maplewood Hotel & Spa.

I'll summarize experience as follows: 1. Good location, not very far from main city Gangtok but away from traffic clogged roads. 2. Ample parking space. 3. Very clean and spacious rooms and bathrooms. 4. Very cooperative staff. 5. Nice food. 6. Close to tashi view point and the roads which take you to tsomgo lake, nathula pass, north sikkim (lachen, Lachung). 7. We also checked suite rooms, which are very much recommended for couples and families. 8. Overall, value for money, just go for it.

The ambience of the resort is purely fabulous.. The staff a extremely gentle, helpful and cooperative. Stayed as promised by MMT. Food is great in taste. And the menu options are quite satisfactory. Location, room service, interior, everything of resort are very nice.
The room was very beautiful, spacious, the interiors were nice, the view from the balcony was breathtaking. The location of the resort is very good so that you can enjoy the beauty of Gangtok, it's mesmerizing. The room service is very good, the staff is very nice and makes you feel at home and attend to every need of yours. The food price is a bit high but it won't bother you when you get such good service.

The location of the Maplewood Hotel & Spa is away from MG Marg or Bus Stand but except this thing all the other things like service, behaviour of Maplewood Hotel & Spa managers and workers are great. After all foods and decoration really impressed us. This Maplewood Hotel & Spa is also good for relaxation. If you want to book an Maplewood Hotel & Spa little bit outside from main city, I think this will be the best Maplewood Hotel & Spa.

It is located 5 km away from the MG Market of Gangtok, this is the only drawback. Room is spacious, clean, geyser is present in bathroom. Staff are very cooperative. Room service is available. Overall cheap and best.

Nice stay. We had with family at Gangtok. Service needs to upgraded seems to be shortage of man power Food is good Location is perfect, if your are planning to North sikkim Price is little costly compared to service provided Overall the stay was good .

I am a vegetarian, for that for food I had some issues, otherwise it was good, like it was clean and hygienic, outside view was very good, the bathroom was excellent, all the other facilities were there like wi fi. The lounge was also good.

Room was very good neat and clean specifically we got no onion no garlic food with great taste room service was also good. Lady owner was very co-operative. As the name suggests resort facilities were available. Family tourists can enjoy.

Value for money. Rooms are clean. People should know the difference between a resort and Maplewood Hotel & Spa while giving review. I say location is good as a resort. Overall if I visit again in Gangtok I would like to stay in that resort again.

Cheapest rates for a luxurious stay. Welcoming staffs. Excellent service. Great room service. Great view from my room. Very friendly staffs and helping staffs.

Location of the Maplewood Hotel & Spa is bit concern, as extra Rs. 500 required for per day travel to moving around near by M. G. Marg market. Food is good, but bit spicy. It will better to get breakfast close to 7 o' clock.

All the moments spent here in Gangtok and its surroundings were fantastic and resort experience was also fabulous. Hope we will visit this wonderful place again and again. Thanks Sikkim and special thanks to the lovely people's.

Best locaton, jolly nature and helping staff, all facilities, tasty food. Great mountain view, a little far from crowd which make it special, resort is perfect for couple and family stay. Highly recommended.

The Maplewood Hotel & Spa is quite a bit far from the main city, but awesome view and awesome area. Staff are really good the owner specially is very friendly. 6stat. Next time when I visit Gangtok will definitely prefer to stay at the maple wood resort

We had hassle free stay at the Maplewood Hotel & Spa. Best part is food. Hotel staff and owner are very co-operative and helpful. Location is calm, peaceful but away from main city, MG market taxi fare will be around 600/-rs to and fro. Though the Gangtok is cool place but Maplewood Hotel & Spas should provide ceiling fan or AC for room ventilation.
