Marigold Sarovar Portico, Shimla

Amazing time spent with complete peace and leisure. starting from excellent food by Chef Anil, Sujata and Dhani Ram, it was a package worth every dime. the front desk staff, housekeeping was prompt and took extra care of children and their entertainment. children had fun in Play zone and the staff took extra care to ensure full entertainment with Music and KARAOKE on demand. the best thing about Resort was the comfort ensured by GM Mr.BK KAUSHIK and the room upgrade which they ensure subject to availability. that prompted is to extend our stay for further 3 days. Not to forget,the stewards in the Restaurant Carignano and their Captains ensured your food reached you fast and simmering hot. yummy dosa, uttapam, coconut chutney and Masala Tea , butter chicken, garlic naan. perhaps any words stop short of the real praise they deserve. Chef Anil made ultimate vegetable cutlet and amazing pastries for my children and those who want to enjoy DHABA FOOD can also visit a roadside restaurant "PUNJABI RASOI" en route to RESORT, JUST 1 kilometre away. altogether a fun trip too go sightseeing as the Resort is centrally located to reach SHIMLA MALL ROAD, KUFRI and Talai Mata temple. special mention for stewards SHIVAM, DEEP , RAMESH & Amit. supervisors Sanjay always ensured HOT MASALA CHAI 😉🔥☕☕and Shishupal Ji gave a food hamper as a parting gift full of juices, donuts and muffins 🥞🍩🍘. full marks to all

Facility was good. I booked a mountain view with balcony and private sit out. The restroom was super clean. Restaurant serves delicious food. In-room service is quick. They will provide the toiletteries only when you ask for it. My room was eligible for a 3 person occupancy however i got the rollaway bed only upon request. They always considered the room as meant for 2 people and i always had to make a call to have them send me an extra tea cup or a glass. That was a little irritating. Food is pricey however it is tasty and served in large portions. I couldn't use their heated pools because they are available only until 6 pm so be mindful of that if you have a busy schedule and cannot return to make use of those. Be wary of the fact that when you book the suite with mountain view and balcony showed photos with 2 double beds however i didn't get that. Also, balcony is not usable bcoz of the monkeys. They do come for a visit in the mornings to the balcony.

Overall a pleasant stay. Peaceful place with good mountain view. Surprisingly our room had a bath tub. Seemed a newly renovated room. It was spacious too even with an extra bed for the kid it had ample space. Ala carte menu food was really good. Had alfredo pasta for kid and noodles and manchurian for us. Buffet was a touch disappointing in terms of spread. Bakery options weren’t that good. Enjoyed their poori subzi on day 1 and ch-ole bhature on day 2. They gladly provided a custom parantha for the kid. Service and hospitality was very good. Mr hardik from front desk was very helpful. Beware of monkeys in the morning, one of them photo-bombed us ! recreation facilities need improvement. There was no-one to assist on it. Some activities to engage kids should be there.

The Marigold Sarovar Portico, Shimla. Is top class, proper 4 star property, their restaurant also serves delicious food. The rooms are very well maintained. Except for the cottages which although are very spacious but the toilets and fittings are old and dated. A few cons are its far from mall road so you need to have your own vehicle otherwise you are stuck. Taxi charges are expensive. Secondly there is nothing else to do around the Marigold Sarovar Portico, Shimla, its secluded so if you need a little hustle bustle in evening then this Marigold Sarovar Portico, Shimla is not for you. Thirdly their restaurant is overly priced. Who pays 150rs for a roti or naan? but since there are no eateries outside you are stuck and have 2 use their restaurant.

Stayed there with my family for 5 days. Room was clean and big. Minor improvements needed in terms of service like had to ask for items like dental kit, slippers repeatedly by calling. Breakfast lacks variety and needs improvement. Bakery items were stale. Quality of tea coffee and beverages could be better. View from mountain view rooms are excellent. You can see snow capped peaks too on clear days. Payment terms need to be clear. Spa services were mentioned that 30% discount. Upon completion we were told that it’s only for a specific item. Felt this was unprofessional for a 4 star property. Stay was comfortable. Overall services could be better and more professional.

We stayed there for 3 nights at end of march '24. It was an amazing experience. Good stay for families who have kids along-with them. . It has good playing area and a heated pool. The only thing is that the food is costly, so i would suggest you to take dinner inclusive in your package. Over-all the experience was very nice, and the staff is very cooperative. They have outsourced taxi service too and they take you to and fro to shimla & other places (they will charge accordingly. But it's a must stay property. You will have a good time.

We have 4 night booking at the Marigold Sarovar Portico, Shimla and the stay is really good, rooms are really neat and clean, food is also nice, they have very nice play area also with a very beautiful view of mountains. Only we are dissatisfied with the taxi service that we availed from the Marigold Sarovar Portico, Shimla itself. We have book can for 2 days, 1st day taxi driver is good but the 2nd day taxi driver is really disappointing, if you are charging more than the normal charge the guest should be satisfied with the service.

Went with my family of four. Earlier we had booked another property (achman nature valley resort. In our first day, we had harrowing experience. So next morning i booked marigold sarovar portico and checked in on 18th june. It was very refreshing and happy experience for me and my family. We enjoyed our stay fully. The staff was very courteous, responsive and welcoming. The f&b service was excellent. The cleanliness, upkeep and housekeeping was very good. Overall a perfect holiday with no shortcomings.

I would give 10/10 to it. From service to food to staff, everything was good. The aura and the environment is so perfect, you won’t be going out the property. At the Marigold Sarovar Portico, Shimla, they provide travel service as well to nearby places and adventure stuff as well. If you are planning to visit shimla, must book one day visit to the property.

Awesome place to stay. Good service staff, very caring and always indulge in doing something extra for the guest. Loved it.

The room was good, very clean and the property is well maintained. The property is situated at a peaceful place.

Location and food was excellent. But actually/play area was not properly operational. They had pool table balls and toys for kids but no body came to issue them even after 2-3 follow ups

Was a good stay at marigold portico mashobra, the staff was very cordial and the service was apt. The restaurant food was just about average. Overall had a good experience at the property.

Excellent property and amenities by sarovar group and the view and food provided the location all are terrific.
