MARUTHAM VILLAGE RESORT

It was an excellent stay at the resort. It was my second time there and we thoroughly enjoyed the activities planned at the resort. People are very hospitable and amicable. The folk performance was the biggest highlight. Only drawback which can be corrected is that it would have been great if the swimming pool was temperature regulated.

Very good place to spend time with family and friends. Peacefull and calm stay. Other activities make you enjoy more and more

The stay was pleasant, and we enjoyed it a lot. The room and bathroom were clean and well-maintained. The food was tasty, and there were plenty of activities for both adults and children. The staff were very helpful and friendly. However, a few areas could be improved. Some amenities listed were not available, such as the electronic safe, work desk, and hair dryer. In-room dining was offered, but the menu was not provided in the room, so we had to visit the restaurant to check the available options before ordering. Although the food was delicious, it felt slightly overpriced. Overall, we had a great trip, and it’s a lovely place to stay with family and friends, offering many activities and a beautiful, nature-friendly environment.

We had a wonderful stay that truly transported us back to the charm of village days. From the refreshing pumpset bath and serene waterfalls to the nostalgic Thallu Vandi shops and hands-on pottery sessions, every moment was a delight. The village dance performances and early morning walks through the fields added a peaceful rhythm to our days. A special mention to the farm animal experience—my child was absolutely thrilled! It was a beautiful opportunity for us to reconnect with nature and explore authentic village culture together as a family. Thank you for the warm hospitality. While the food and beverages felt a bit on the expensive side, everything else made it a must-visit for anyone looking to escape city life and spend quality time in a rustic, soulful setting.

Marutham Village Resort offers a refreshing countryside escape located roughly 50 km from Chennai. The resort immediately gives a peaceful rural vibe with its lush green paddy fields and serene surroundings. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick, thanks to the courteous and efficient staff. The rooms were comfortable, though regular cleaning could make the stay even better. Children will love the activities here, from playing cricket and shuttle to exploring the open spaces. Watching cattle, ducks, and other animals adds to the unique village charm of the place. The swimming pool was decent and kept clean, providing a relaxing way to unwind. Traditional food was tasty but priced a bit on the higher side; the management could ensure matching quality for the rates charged. A major highlight was the traditional folk dance performance, which gave us a wonderful taste of Tamil culture. The pump-set bath experience was another delightful touch that made the stay more authentic.

I am taking this moment to write a review for Marutham Village Resort. The property was really authentic as it was shown. The food and the service was really excellent that the service people so kind enough doing things before hand. There were facilities that was missing in the resort and I would give a full on full.

It was a good experience of staying in marutham resort with the village view. Food and hospitality also very great.

Wonderful experience. Slow down a bit and spend two nights here instead of one. You will not regret it. Each and everything - from the rooms to the outdoor sofa settings to the activities and the performances - its carefully thought through and curated. If you want a break from the fast paced life, come here. Give your phones and other gadgets a break.

Room is neat and clean. Facilities are good and activities are good. Enjoyed pumpset bath and traditional dance in the evening. Food is decent and there is room for improvement.

This farm stay here admist the paddy fields was amazing. Calm, green, and so much more, things you never get to experience in the city life. The morning walk along the fields to a nearby lake was great too. Taking a dip in the pumpset tank was a great experience too, you get your own time slots. And the food was great too, it was all veg for me this time, and every dish was perfect, guess I'll need to visit here again to try their non veg dishes too. Staff are super helpful, polite and courteous too. Recommended!

Very beautiful stay. Clean ,warm and friendly staff,all activities were child friendly .will definitely try to visit again.

Property was well maintained and activities were engaging for kids. Following are the list: Tamil folk dance, pottery making, ancient board games, craft works, archery, cricket, badminton, table tennis, feeding cattle (cows, goat, duck), milking cows, swimming pool with manmade waterfall, bullock ride, pumpset bath, kids play area,mobile truck (thalluvandi) for evening high tea and snacks, Madurai special veg and non veg dinner, cooperative staffs, complimentary breakfast.

We had a very pleasant and peaceful stay with my family the staff were very friendly good ambience.

Rooms could have been little better..They need to prove food quality and variety for the amount paid..The service is not upto the extent.

The staycation was really nice. The staffs were super supportive. The experience was very different in a complete village theme concept. We enjoyed all the activities and especially it will be more entertaining for the kids. Food was nice and the water in a swimming pool and pump set was super clean, overall a great weekend getaway spot.

The resort is ideal for going with a group of people, for 1 night. Beyond that it can get boring. The rooms were clean and functional, but there were lizards, flies and ants inside rooms. Wifi did not work inside the room. The taste of food was good but the variety of food could have been more. Overall , this is a decent option for a 1 night getaway from Chennai.
