the stay was great at Mary land... good rooms great view very good experience

Room service could have been better. Had to contact front desk multiple times to get all accessories like bath towels, tissue etc. otherwise rooms are very neat and comfortable

Location , stay, rooms, where great...the restaurant was good as well.. I assume the room service and resturant timings were affected by Diwali holidays.. else everything was good..and to our expectation.

Cleaning needs improvement as we saw dust everywhere and dust below cot . Also mattresses not clean

We had a wonderful two days stay with our family here in Maryland Church View Suites. It is centrally located and easily 6 min walkable distance to the main Basilica shrine and 2 minute distance to morning star church and the large Sacred Heart Statue. There is a beautiful huge mural sculpture of The Last Supper at the reception which is a beauty to see. The rooms are very spacious and so comfortable and clean and a large washroom. All the staff are wonderful and so sweet and obliging from the reception to our room service. We enjoyed the food in their restaurant Samudra and Mr Sridhar is so kind and courteous always welcoming us with a smile and recommended the best dishes to eat there.. we had all our meals in their restaurant and didn’t need to search anywhere else as everything on their menu is very delicious and fresh seafood.. very reasonable priced and good portions.. special thanks also to Veera and all the other staff in the restaurant for looking after us so well. All the rooms face the basilica and it is so peaceful. We truly enjoyed our pilgrimage there thanks to the wonderful staff in this hotel and we highly recommend staying here while coming to Velankani. Will surely stay here whenever visiting Velankani again.

The location is accessible and food was good with good service .the reception side they have to improve

We stayed here for one night in July 2025. It’s a very nice property, within walking distance of the Church of our Lady of Good Health. The room is big and spacious. Washroom was clean and well designed. The ground floor restaurant Samudra serves tasty food in tidy elegant ambience. The reception and hotel corridors have a warm, open feel. Overall, it’s probably the best option for stay in Velankanni for family.

Check in is good but washroom are very bad . Bedsheets are not cleaned room are dusty

Located close to the shrine, a well maintained hotel, with clean rooms, excellent service. The restaurant was the best I have seen in that area , and I would definitely recommend this place while visiting Velankanni.

The worst hotel in a holy place. Rooms where not cleaned before we checkin. It was completely having cigarette smell. The towels, pillows bedsheets where the worst was stinking very badly. My daughter is 4 years old and was having difficulties with the bedsheets pillow she was not able to sleep. The night shift receptionist THE I FORGOT HIS NAME where unprofessional. No tolitors was given. Breakfast was worth less. We get good breakfast by the roadside. There one guy for night shift who provided bad service whenever we asked him for anything he refused to do it. Denied saying its not available. WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.

Had a great time and lovely service, we really had a good stay, highly prefer for families as we don’t want to worry about anything except booking this suit... finally our trip became a blessing as stay is an integral part... thanks to Mr. Richard from front office and house keeping manager Mr. Venkat and his team... will prefer again to be here whenever we need to see Mother Ave Mary at Velanakanni

The property location is good. The stay was pleasant and the staff too were friendly and the food is great. This was our 2nd time staying at the same hotel. We highly recommend this property

The toilets was not clean it was dirty. Should maintain the property very bad

room service does not provide water bottles every day and sufficient bathing soaps. early check-in is available, which is good for many who reach velankanni morning time. food quality is good, cost is high for the quantity given.

Good hotel with all amenities in a proximity distance from the church! The food was also great, they also provide 24hr check in and check out which I found as very useful.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel, which is vastly overhyped and fails to deliver even the basic standards of hospitality. Despite its reputation, our stay was marked by poor service, unhygienic conditions, and discriminatory behavior that left us feeling deeply unwelcome. Though we are Tamilians, the hotel staff quickly identified that we were not from Tamil Nadu and began treating us differently. This kind of behavior was both disheartening and unprofessional. It felt like we were judged and categorized based solely on the language we spoke or the way we looked. This bias has no place in the hospitality industry. We had booked our stay for two nights , expecting a comfortable and decent experience. Instead, we were given an old, poorly maintained room with soiled bedsheets, stained towels, and a disgustingly dirty bathroom. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned or prepared for guests. For the price we paid, this level of quality was absolutely unacceptable. We were so disappointed with the room condition and the attitude of the staff that we decided to vacate the hotel after just one night. However, the most frustrating part of the entire experience was that we received no refund, not even partial. We raised this issue with MakeMyTrip, through whom we made the booking, but they also failed to support us or help secure a refund. This left us feeling cheated and helpless. To make matters worse, the hotel restaurant charges exorbitant prices for basic food items. We were shocked to see 100 ml of milk priced at Rs. 63. The food wasn’t exceptional, yet the prices were unreasonably high. Please avoid this hotel at all costs. It appears they are taking advantage of pilgrims and travelers coming to Velankanni to visit the church and meet God, which makes the situation even more upsetting. This is not just poor service—it feels like exploitation.
