Matheran Green Field Resorts

Good things: the Matheran Green Field Resorts is neat and clean, with good amenities like a geyser, hot kettle, toiletries, and good staff. Being a weekday, we were the only couple, but there was nothing to be afraid of. We were out in the Matheran Green Field Resorts area at 10pm too. Being inside a forest area, the atmosphere was pleasant and there was no noise at all. Badminton, carroms, cricket playing facilities available. There is no monkey nuisance inside the rooms. The food served that we ordered was good, w. R. T rate, quality and quantity. The staff was really helpful. Things to improve: cleanliness of surroundings and adding more amenities like swings, sitting areas, and plants as there is a lot of space available. Cleanliness of restaurant and food served and plates as i found some insects in the plate. For the rate at which i got the room, it was worth the stay.

They should actually build big fence around the resort as it’s in between the forest and people get attacked with wild animals. Also, the way to reach the resort is also extremely dark and scary. Security can be tightened only if bigger electric fences are built from starting point of the road & around the resort. Food and hospitality are way to good and gives you homely feels. Frequent powercuts are happening and as it’s a no automobile area even generators don’t work for longer time due to shortage of diesel. If people are adventurous this is a go to resort but if scared of wild animals & dark then should take a back step.

I book this Matheran Green Field Resorts after confirming it's pet friendly. This Matheran Green Field Resorts is a bit far from the main market which gives this place plus point. As no disturbance from outside. Also surrounded by trees which is beautiful. Note: you can bring pets but it's your responsibility that other guests/staff will not be getting disturbed bcoz of you/the pet. Likes, - location - food - hospitality - washroom -pet friendly dislike, - rooms (need more cleanness) - view from room(this can be considered if you are booking a basic room only) -bit overpriced in my opinion. Overall, i'll give 4 out of 5

best resort with lots of memories. it's my second time visited green field resort.. entire staff was very humble and polite. and being a couple the staff never felt us feel uncomfortable 🤗. resort is located little bit in distance from market . but trust me it's the main key features because it's very near to eco point you can enjoy sunset there and come back to your resort in 2 minutes. resort is located in dense forest so you'll feel very fresh also sounds of birds makes ur morning awesome 😊 thank you green field resort. hoping for next trip soon..

best resort with good surrounding and very polite and helping staff 🥰. people's say it's far from matheran market but in real its key features that it is little bit in distance from market. i stay there for 3 days. and there is no single negative point which i can say. they arrange bonfire 🔥 at night with proper dinner outside your room. breakfast was also good which was included in my package. they serves 4 types of dishes in breakfast everyday. thank you green field resort for making my vacations 😊 so good. will happy to visit again.

We stayed in green field resort for 2 nights. The stay was great. The location of the resort is quite near to many tourist points which makes it the favourite. The rooms are very spacious, and have all the necessities. The breakfast was also fresh and hot. Since the place is away from the main market it becomes a little difficult to find the place, but you can always ask the local shopkeepers and they can guide you to the place. Overall, if you are looking for a peaceful stay with spacious rooms in matheran, this is your place.

Our stay at the resort was decent and comfy. But we faced the issue in reaching there. As there was no hoarding or barely any instructions were given on the way. We couldn't reach by phone as there's no network. Local people also don't know that this property is greenfield as before it's name was something maria. The location of the resort is very nice and the stay was comfy but if the proper maintenance would have been there then we would have enjoyed it more.

The resort is very apt for a relaxing stay, located a small walk away from the market area. Rooms are well maintained, clean bedding, bathrooms. Food was of good quality. Can improve on room service. Also a suggestion for all resort owners of matheran that they should safeguard the natural beauty of the place and take care of the flaura and fauna as without the trees and the forest atmosphere the place provides, tourists may not visit.

Situated very close to echo point. This resort is in the lap of nature among-st dense forest. Many attractive points are nearby this forest. Slightly away from the main market area but perfect for those who are looking for some peace and quiet environment.

Quiet and serene place! courteous staff! got executive room which was clean and better than expected! food was scrumptious!

The resort was pretty decent, with spacious rooms and in house dining space. There was frequent powercut during our stay. Although they have power backup, but due to some operational difficulties, every-time power goes off, they take 15-20 mins to switch on the power backup, and you have to be in drak till then. Resort is isolated from rest of the market and Matheran Green Field Resortss, and hence quite peaceful.
