Mayas

We booked a suite room for our stay and were allotted the antique room. I consisted of two rooms, bathroom, balcony and the bed room was pool view as promised. The rooms had a real antique touch with old age zamindari furniture and old photographs of Kolkata (then calcutta). We enjoyed taking a dip in the big pool and helped ourselves with a couple of drinks. In the evening we enjoyed a walk in the lawn and idling in the couches before returned to our nest for dinner. The main disappointment during the stay was food. Lunch was good but after that everything was average. We ordered chicken pakora, fish fingers and onion pakora for evening. The fingers were stale and the onion pakora were onion rings dipped in besan and deep fried (nothing like piyanji). Dinner consisted of dal, chicken n roti and was average. The biggest disappointment was breakfast. I was so used to being served buffet breakfast in resorts that was crestfallen when we got 3 pieces of bread with an omelette. Overall a nice stay sans the food.

This was my 2nd trip to Shantiniketan and was special as it was a surprise trip for my partner as it was his bad. May a's was breathtaking. It's a plush resort amidst wide natural beauty. All the rooms are theme based. Beautifully decored with all kinds of state odd art facilities. Take a Bath in the clean blue pool or plan a barb q. Or just stroll through the resort boundaries. You want be disappointed. The staffs are the best part of this boutique Mayas. They have a solution to anything u want. Lunch menu is average however snacks and special orders are lip-smacking. It's a 15 minutes drive away from Sonajhuri hut and 20 minute from the university. Having your own car is an advantage. If u want a peaceful, filled with nature stay. This is it.

It was a tryst with literature, nature and awesome weather. The resort is very well done up, rooms have beautiful interiors. Our room had typical Shantiniketan printed leather wall art. We took the super deluxe room, which is good for two. Even one extra person would cramp it. The views are terrific, not from the room as our room had windows opening in the passage. There are open sitting areas on each floor, like terraces where you can sit, relax and enjoy the view. The breakfast is limited to two white bread toasts and an omelette, not even tea coffee. Anything else has to be either haggled or paid for. Also, this resort is located 7 Km from the main road of Bolpur. A vehicle is a must, either own or rented. In all we had a pleasant stay.

Received such a warm welcome so instantly fell In love with the place. It’s not five star but has a lovely energy. The staff are mostly local…simple, obliging and try to accommodate as far as possible. The food is excellent. The Roma are quite nice and provide for all the basic amenities. The pool is decent and there’s a lovely terrace on the 3rd floor. I used it for yoga practice and my regular workout, early in the morning and again to just chill late in the evening. Not located close to the town (about 15 minutes away), you would need your own transport to reach there. They also have cycles.

Dear may-as team, this is an appreciation letter to express my appreciation for the quality of service we both received throughout our stay at the may-as resort. It was a good choice, we enjoyed the peace and quiet that was offered in all the facilities. The team was very good and they behaved very well. The hospitality was also excellent it has been a pleasure for us to stay at the mayas resort, and we will recommend it to our friends and family. A heavenly place made in the middle of nowhere with a few villages dotting the area besides lush green paddy/yellow mustard crop according to season all Around n water bodies at regular intervals. Mayas is just out of the world. So well designed n made which takes care of all your needs. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, cycling. Etc. Besides amazing n yummy food from a well equipped kitchen and staff which is ever willing to serve you with a smile. A must stay place if one is visiting Shantiniketan n Bolpur.

The location is very good, away from the crowded places of main town. The area is surrounded with greenery and monsoons really elevated the experience. Parking space is good at the resort and staff helped park properly also. The staff were wearing masks and using sanitizer, along with maintaining social distancing. Very good arrangements and the hospitality was very well appreciated. The safety protocols were well maintained. Overall, a good experience!

stay was great. specially their ambience and room decoration. but i feel their room service is not up to the mark. they should work on this. power back up is slow. we got frequent power cut. and the price of the foods are little high. but the quality was really good. staffs are polite and helpful. for the peaceful ambience i will recommend this place.. wow. one more review then discount 🤣 do you guys think we're chutiya !

Resort is well maintained. If you want a peaceful & silent place then must stay at mayas. Staffs are very friendly & well behaved. I will revisit again if i come back to bolpur.

Had a memorable stay at mayas. Liked the ambiance, jacuzzi, swimming pool and the tranquility. Staffs were polite and responsive to our needs. I booked ‘aqua suite’ and i think it is a bit overpriced. Expected more food items in complementary breakfast considering the price.

It was a nice and relaxing stay as it was away from the hustle and bustle of city, amidst a serene village. Advisable to those who are travelling with their own vehicle. Top floor has an amazing terrace with green grass mat attached near the room. Rooms are beautifully decorated and neatly kept. Very nice behavior of staff. Overall, experience is excellent. Ideal for couples, family and friends.

Excellent sanitation and awesome room

Loved the morning swing, warm, and helpful staff. Clean and calm surrounding. Amidst paddy field was cherry on the cake for the view.

It was a very good stay. We went there during winter. Staffs are very cooperative. Foods were awesome. They are having pool and parking.

Location is marvelous in the mid of the village, lovely view.
