Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino

I recently Stayed at Mayfair Gangtok, and while the overall experience was pleasant, there were a few aspects that left me disappointed. Let's start with the positives—the ambience of the Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino was delightful, and the property itself was truly remarkable. The view from the property was absolutely mesmerizing, offering a breathtaking sight that added to the charm of the place. However, I must express my dissatisfaction with the hospitality and the staff's level of courtesy at Mayfair. Throughout my stay, I encountered multiple instances where the staff fell short in providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their lack of courteousness was evident and left a sour impression on me. It's unfortunate because the property has so much potential, but the staff's attitude dampened the overall experience. It is disheartening to encounter such poor hospitality, especially when the rest of the Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino offers a pleasant environment. Despite the drawbacks, Mayfair remains a beautiful place to stay due to its amazing ambience, stunning property, and breathtaking views. However, potential guests should be aware of the staff's lack of courteousness and be prepared for a less-than-ideal experience in terms of service. In conclusion, if you're seeking a visually appealing and tranquil getaway, Mayfair might be worth considering. Just be prepared for a potential letdown when it comes to the hospitality and the staff's level of courtesy.

The rooms are wonderful. Loved the double protection at the veranda - there is no way that any insect can come in. The bathrooms are so opulent you would want to sit in there and dream for a while. We had taken two rooms - one of the washrooms had some leakage issue - but they rectified it soon. On the first day there was some power outage but once the lights came the ac did not auto switch on. Maybe it is a one off incident. The food is awesome and the buffet spread is more than decent. However, on the last day the breakfast plates - i smelled at least 5 plates - were all smelling of eggs. They did get fresh plates, but henceforth they should take care of it. Also, if you take packed food, in case you are going for a day trip, don't expect much. So, do tell them beforehand if you want anything special packed and they will do the needful. Special mention to arup and sheetal. They are efficient and wonderful human beings. Also do look up the agm, zeeshan ali. He will always be there to help you. By the way, their pool looks very tempting but you can't swim in the cold ( by the way, their spa has also moved from the original spot to a villa. They have elevators and golf carts to take you to the location spot and the spa treatments are very good, so don't miss it. But it would have been nice had the Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino informed about all the construction activities since there is some dust flying around.

I stayed in this Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino from 23-6-2023 to 27-6-2023. The restaurant staff is excellent, especially ms. Renuka and mr. Arindham. Their hospitality is quite appreciable and i liked the way of their service. But the housekeeping and the reception staff is neither co-operative nor helpful. Their service are not up to the mark as we expect from the mayfair group of Mayfair Spa Resort & Casinos. In other Mayfair Spa Resort & Casinos of mayfair, i was provided with unlimited complimentary softdrinks but here they gave a limit of 2 cans a day even after continuous reminders each day without bothering that we were 3 people. This kind of service is not expected when you are staying at a Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino of such high standard. Otherwise, the Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino is extremely good in all other aspects. Moreover, i would like to conclude that i'm giving them 4 stars just because of the excellent service of the restaurant.

When we arrived at the Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino, we were given a room in a building that was partly under construction. My sister was traveling with her twins who are 11 years age. The man at the front desk asked for extra charges as the booking was done for two adults (which is the default setting ). We did not ask for an extra bed and we offered to pay extra for the child’s breakfast. But the front desk person was adamant and not ready to consider. We had to spend hours requesting for a room change as the smell of the fresh paint and fumes was bothering all of us. After a lot of time spent speaking to the front desk staff, we were allotted a beautiful villa with a private jacuzzi. All in all a great experience but after a lot of back and forth with the staff. The Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino is awesome and so is the architecture. The decor however is very tacky. Almost looks cheap. It’s probably one of the best properties in Gangtok.

Impeccable service standards, right from check-in. Right from the bar to the restaurants and especially the room service, thank you so much for making the trip special! I'd especially like to thank the following members of staff; Bar: Rahman, Gobhardan and Abhishek Chetri. Room service: Chungchung, Bhimkumari and Tara. Restaurant: Bijay. Reception: Mirza, Abhijeet and all managers on duty. In short, these are just a few of the names, every member of the staff and crew is exceptional with an incredible customer-centric attitude and infinite resourcefulness. The property is exceptional, the buffet is interesting with a lot of options. Both the staff and managers were proactive in their zeal to celebrate my mother's birthday and even sent in a cake personally to make it all the more special. Thank you so much for the amazing experience!

I had a family trip for 2 days stay at this property. Its an excellent property with well maintained facilities. If you are a nature lover you must visit this property. Hotel offers complementary high tea to all guests. The staff was just excellent and senior staff was interacting with all guests about their experience at the Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino ( which is really nice. This place is about 10km from city center hence you must hire cab to reach to city. Hotel has a nice cab rental service which is decent and their charges are comparable with market with nice services (which i availed as well.

The Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino is very nice, though it is around 8km away from the city centre but it's absolutely fine as you can get a cab very easily. The rooms were nice and large and were clean. Service can be improved overall in terms of time it takes. The food over in the buffet is good but a bit more options would be welcome. There is a paan store and atm which are very handy and for people with enough time in gangtok to spend can go for casino as well. Property is beautiful in terms of landscaping and overall upkeep.

I stayed at mayfair gangtok for two days 23rd &24 th nova 2021. I had gone there with my best friend. We had a wonderful experience. The ambiance and service were excellent. The Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino staff was very helpful and friendly and all had a cheerful smile on their faces. My birthday celebration just became unforgettable. Thank you for the amazing hospitality.

The name says it all. Cannot say anything bad about if. From check in to check out. No complains at all. The Casino is Worth it

Nice stay. All services are available at just one call away. Property is well maintained. But it is almost out of main city. Little bit higher temperature than main city. 12 kms away from mg marg.

Best stay ever. I was here with my wife for a day. I would say if you coming to Gangtok, stay in Mayfair ❤️ This place has my heart.

A very different experience from any normal Resort but it comes at a price, food is overly priced could be a little less. Rest an awesome stay and property.
