Megapode Resort

This was my first visit to Andaman while booking Megapode Resort. I was got confused with some negative reviews but when I read them I realize 90% of the review were related to house lizard and mosquitoes in rooms but believe me Megapode is located around a lot of trees, basically it's a little jungle which gives you peace and comfort. So anyone can expect few insects but you can find more insects in our cities than there. And now on food, we eat in many places in Port Blair, Havelock, Neil Island but Megapode food is the most delicious Megapode staff are very helping, even their reception staff is also very very cooperative because when we reach Megapode we decided to add changes to our trip and want to stay in Havelock. So when I talked to them they said as per policy we can't give you refund but we can adjust your amount to book Resort in Havelock Island so that what we want that saves us a lot of money. Just if you want to stay in Port Blair just stay in Megapode property they are perfect for a family.

It's a hilltop Megapode Resort so the bay view is just amazing. I didn't expect it to be so beautiful. We booked 2 semi deluxe rooms for 6 people. Huge thanks to Monisha and Pranav sir for making the trip so easy by making the entire itinerary on spot. They were always available on call for everything. Definitely try the Veg Biriyani over here and book the package which includes breakfast because breakfast was very tasty. The other food items can improve though. I would suggest that stay in this Megapode Resort even if it's for one day. It would be worth it. MONISHA and PRANAV sir thank you SOOO much. Looking forward to visit this Megapode Resort again in upcoming years for a tour of North Andaman which according to the local people is way more beautiful than South Andaman. Here during my stay in Megapode nest, I found it really cozy place. Property is worth a while. Views from the rooms are fabulous & eye catching. From the balcony you can have sea view ,which is mesmerizing. Nature gave this place a cuddle in his arms. The natural ambience of this place along with lil chirping of birds makes it the most amazing place in port Blair to stay. I hv enjoyed rain here which makes this place an abode in heaven. Food served here is mouth watering & tastes the same as in mainland , specially for North Indians. staff was cool & supportive , as I was having an infant with Mee too it felt like home here. I must admit everyone shd try this place once in port blair.kudos to the property & staff ✌️

We stayed here for a night in a semi deluxe room. Property is located on a small hill and has some great views of the sea. Food is good. Lot of options for having lunch/dinner. However, breakfast spread is very small. Our check in was smooth. They give vouchers for wifi for each person. But the data they provide is very less and gets over soon. Air-tel and bsnl works best in andaman. So they might not need wifi. Semi deluxe rooms does not have sea view. Choose deluxe or nicobar cottage for sea views. Bamboo cottages are bigger in size and also have sea views. Although the property is lush green, it can be maintained a bit more well.

The resort is very good. We stayed 1 night in a bamboo cottage. The harbor view from the room and balcony was excellent. Room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff behaviour is very good and they were very helpful. Check-in and check-out process were very quick. Good restaurant with one coffee shop serving good coffee and cookies. There is no item to complain. But please remember not to book bamboo cottage with elderly family members or if you have any problem in climbing with stairs. From our cottage (#134) the distance up to reception is almost climbing 4 stories building by stairs. Overall surroundings are very good.

The room service offered was terrific. The food was timely prepared and served. Staff were courteous enough during our stay. Very response. The view from the resort is amazing, the view from the restaurant was amazing. Though, there was minor hiccup the ac was not working but the staff eventually provided us a different. There were multiple power cuts at night but the power was back within minutes. A little annoying. The food was edible and hygiene. All in all we were satisfied with our stay.

Megapode nest is a beautiful Resort in the quiet neighborhood of down Town Port Blair. With superb landscape over looking old Harbour, it's an ideal Resort to enjoy the beautiful nature during the stay. Rooms though slightly old kind are large and spacious. Breakfast is just the kind one would like to have to start the day and they also give packed snacks if you are to start your day very early. They have a travel desk for your transport needs but it comes with a premium.

We stayed at nicobar cottage and it was a pleasant experience. View from the room was stunning. Ac was not working properly and experienced multiple power fluctuations. Service was okay and needs improvement. Food quality was good but limited options available to choose from. Only proper sea view was from the nicobar and bamboo cottages. Other rooms doesn't come with sea view. Overall a good experience.

It has beautiful location and serves good food

Its a great Resort, having a beautiful view and a courteous staff. I stayed in the semi deluxe rooms and bamboo cottage, and even though the bamboo cottage had a mesmerizing view I preferred the semi deluxe/deluxe rooms.

Great view of the jetty, very scenic Resort with lots of trees all Around. Any issues with room were quickly addressed by staff. Travel desk Mr. Sumit was also very helpful. Thank you

Very good Resort with good standards.

Overall, it was a great experience. I loved the location, particularly the scene from our bamboo cottage. The quality of food was also very good.

It's one place should not be missed in Port Blair. Excellent location. Helpful staff. Good food. Having dinner in lawns in moonlight and soothing breeze was amazing

Good place to stay in Port Blair, clean Megapode Resort, very close to market. Excellent view of the Harbour. Food is good, although the spread could be better.

I really enjoyed my stay. It was a great experience. The cottage room had awesome view. Also all the services were great.
