MGM Beach Resorts (15Kms before Mahabalipuram)

We had a calm, relaxed, peaceful family stay at mgm resorts. The location of the property is bang on ecr and easily accessible. We received a warm welcome during check-in with a refreshing welcome drink and a very smooth checkin process. The rooms and restaurant are facing the beach, which gives an amazing beach experience throughout the stay. Food menu variety is good and tastes delicious. Morning breakfast menu has very good spread with sufficient quantity and quite delicious & yummy. Room is neatly maintained with all necessary sanitaries in place. Staff are very courteous and friendly. We had booked deluxe sea view room which was facing the sea, however it was situated bit far from beach and also at a lower level from ground, hence it lacked the direct sea view and sea breeze from the room. The new lighthouse model and lightings setup around the lighthouse bistro place were quite nice during night time. Swimming pool is maintained neat and clean with lifeguard on duty during the pool timings. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Stayed with fam over the weekend i. E. Saturday check in and sun-day check out. Pros 1. Clean and well appointed rooms. The sea cottage was very close to the ocean. The view and sunrise was incredible. 2. Food was scrumptious. Can compete with the best of chefs. Room service pricing was reasonable. 3. Swimming pool was well maintained. There was a lifeguard on duty always. 4. Beach access was clean and safe. Kids have a great time here. Cons 1. Check in at 3 pm is too late. By the time we were in the room it was close to 4 pm. Not cool for the 15k price tag per night. 2. Morning breakfast was too crowded. Even getting a chair was tough. The dining area requires a massive upgrade. The non air-conditioned portions should at least have a lot more fans. The sea view net cannot be black - makes it look like prisony. 3. Water bottles should not be changed at 80 rs a piece. 4. Check in and check out cannot take 1 hour. 5. Poor reception area. No one to help with luggage unless this was demanded. 6. More activities for kids are expected.

The property with it's picturesque landscape amid-st the sea and coconut trees is unique and one of the best. Having well prepared food at a restaurant just adjacent to the sea waters is an experience in itself. The resort has all facilities and amenities for a enjoyable time with family. The staffs at reception, to manager to restaurant staff to life guard at swimming pool are diligent at their work and always helpful to ensure you have a comfortable, pleasant and memorable vacation. Manager kaushik and reception staff priya had been extremely supportive which is worth mentioning.

Booked it for a family birthday. Tried to contact them before going for celebration arrangement, but no proper response from them. But had a good reception from them and the room, pool was good. Amazing views and access to the rock beach. Food was delicious and restaurant ambience was good, though a bit expensive, but they were kind enough to give us a discount for the birthday and arranged for paid cake also. We did other recreation activities and it was good, but quite less in number and difficult to get info about them. Felt like it was not much of full value for the money.

Activities in mgm should be increased. Especially near the beach activities will be more attractive. Some watch towers made of wood like the one we have on the first floor of restaurant with sea view can be good attractions. More outdoor games and sports in open area for kids and adults can be good. Room service and restaurant service is simply superb. Live barbecue, fresh catch fish can be introduced in the restaurant. Check in time is 3 pm, should be 12 noon. Option for online check in with allotment of rooms can be helpful to visitors

Mgm beach resort is a peaceful stay with lush of greenery added with beach view with lots of amenities it was very good time staying here the hospitality of the staff was so welcoming, especially i would personally thank elish to take care of every micro details ensuring us for comfortable stay also dinner arrangements done by rajesh is very much appreciable complimentary breakfast had lot of varieties making a delicious deal thank u mgm beach resort for making this trip memorable

Our family's favorite holday stay place is mgm muttukadu beach resort. Last 13 years we stayed here on many occations. The ambience cleanliness and hospitality always best. This time, my son had a great training in swimming pool by rsort staffs mr. Kumaran and mr. Panchanathan. And notable hospitality by restaurent staffs suja and one another lady ( forgot name) pongal celebrations and other arrangements are great. Totally great place for family stay.

Well maintained, we enjoyed well in the swimming pool for this you need jersey else they won't allow you inside the pool. Buying jersey there was little bit costly.

visit the resort for my son's birthday. Room decorations and cakes were arranged by the authorities. Resort is well maintained. We enjoyed the stay Mr. Mukilesh was helpful and kind in arranging the necessary. Highly recommended.
